There’s a few wrinkles they are using in their training to get there. - First, you need to know these guys are hitting their calories and protein numbers on a daily basis and training hard. They are below 15% BF probably closer to 10%. All things you can do too! - Back to training. They are sort of hacking the system by targeting the shoulders, lats, and upper chest to give them that wide v-tapered look. - They are hitting these muscles groups at least two, maybe even three times per week in a variety of rep ranges. The reps are quality, granted they have a trainer ensuring it, but still the reps are usually flawless. What exercises do they use? - SHOULDERS: overhead press, front raise, side raise, face pull, Arnold press, machine lat raise, etc. - UPPER CHEST: Incline Bench, incline DB, incline fly, cable cross over, decline push ups, etc. - LATS: Chin ups, pull down, straight arm pull down, DB row, seated row, t bar row, etc. - To reiterate, the whole point is to make their body look like it has that V-shaped by targeting the muscles that make their back and shoulders wider! - It’s not impossible and no they aren’t really being enhanced with technology. On the left is probably the most embarrassing picture of me that I still allow on social media 🙈 It’s from July 2016 when I was at my heaviest (240ish). My family was visiting me and we went to a Yankee game. My boyfriend took this pic of me and my nieces and I was mortified when I saw it. I had no idea I took up that much space. I just don’t remember being that big. Logically it makes sense but it’s still a tough thing to confront, even when I’m just remembering it. Fast forward 20 months later and I’m down 108 lbs. and well I don’t take up nearly as much space! I still struggle with seeing my current self clearly but it helps to see how far I’ve come, especially when I can “recreate” certain moments like this. . So here are strategies I've used - what're yours? ... 😁Brush Teeth - this is such a simple tactic and so effective. Brushing your teeth after a meal gives you that mental signal that you're done eating for a period of time. Typically it's the last thing we do at night, so you won't actually think about eating again for a while ... 😃Big Meals - sounds obvious - but eat a big meal. For me over eating always comes between meals. The quick and easy snacks when I'm bored. So big meals keep me feeling full for longer, so even when I do get bored I don't have the appetite to eat ... 🔫Triggers - figure out what's causing it. For me it's boredom, for others its stress. Whatever it is for you - figure it out. You can't tackle a problem if you don't know the cause ... 🍩Treats - in the past I've struggled with over eating on snacks I felt deprived of. Craving chocolate but knowing I "can't have it". So if that's you - work them into your plan. It's better to have a little of something within your plan than a lot of it outside your plan! ... 😥Stress - Reducing your stress gets your head back in the game. It puts you in a better position to identify your triggers and come up with a better solution to your craving other than milling a jar of Nutella ... 🥦Veggies - they keep you full and are super good for you. Well i learned my lesson this weekend. I did not set my alarms on my phone and was traveling and busy. I came home to weight loss - but I did not feel to well the day I missed. It’s so important to keep your calories up and eat your fuelings when you are on this program ! Don’t skip them.

You know I had to top these bad boys with some of our girl's chocolate @lilys_sweets_chocolate! Definitely a keeper recipe - not overly sweet. So easy, one bowl, mix and bake. 🥥 I did alter the recipe a tad. I used coconut cream (instead of coconut milk) and about 1/4c coconut flour. I started with the 3tbsp of coconut flour, but noticed it was still a bit loose. I would start with 3 and add more until it's firm enough to scoop and stand on its own. Since I got such a positive response from you wanting to know what I did for my 1st workout after my holidays, here it is . I did: . A1: Overhead Press for speed 3 x 3 A2: Tucked Front Lever (static hold) 3 x 80% effort for time . B1: Paused Bench 3 x 4 B2: One Arm Row 3 x 8 . C1: DB Goblet Squat 3 x 10 C2: Standing Leg Curl 3 x 8 . I was easing back in so the intensity is at about 80% of technical failure . This is customised to what I need at the minute so bear that in mind when and if you decide to try this . You’ll probably struggle or fail horribly with the Tucked Front Lever. . That’s a shame because it’s an incredible exercise for not only for your back, but for inhuman core strength which also just happens to translates to a bigger deadlift. . If you’re interested to know how to progress to a full Front Lever and why I’ve started doing them then leave a comment: “I want to Front Lever!” . Tag a workout partner . As my first time to be run in an Age Group today at the Tejon Ranch for Spartan Beast. My performance is not pretty great to be in an age group, I am pretty happy as what place I finished for 30-39 age range. The course was kicking my butt by the hills, which is similar as Big Bear last May. I have to keep run up and down through the hills by estimate six times, maybe I’m miscount of the hills since my mind is too exhausted by the hills. My knee is very close to be shattered knee by the hills. Tejon Ranch have tough course enough to slow me down by bad times. . I have learned a lot by run in an Age Group, which it is different than what I experienced in an open wave for long time. There is some officials watch us through competition to make sure we don’t skip burpee by fail an obstacle. I have many skin peeled off my hands by the wall and twister. I have to taking care of my hands by heal before I get ready for next Spartan Race at the Laughlin in less than a month. I have a lot of working on my endurance through the hills. I’m glad I have push myself by sign up an Age Group to more challenge in an obstacles course race. . #SpartanSOCAL #medal #tejonranch #aroo #hills at Tejon Ranch

Posterior progress comes last because this is where I carry most of my weight. My back takes it all, muscle and fat 😂 I think it’s because of the addiction to heavy rows and deadlifts. Here’s my top 5 back exercises. In order 😉 1. Deadlift 2. Seal Row 3. Hammer Grip Pull-Down 4. Cable Pullover 5. Dumbbell Row - Back training is easily neglected because we hit so much of our front when lifting. Here is s excerpt from a convo I had with a client⁣ ⁣ People ask me why I don’t post more transformation pictures of my clients. While I will from time to time, it’s not something I do often⁣ ⁣ For one, the progress is theirs, not mine. I am just there to show the way. To help, to guide, to support. They are the one’s doing the work⁣ ⁣ The other big thing, is that results are not typical. No matter how much trainers/coaches/instagram/TV tries to pretend. If someone shows you a progress picture and says they can can get similar results for you, they are lying to your face⁣ ⁣ The “before and after” pics that you see are a result of months and months of grueling hard work and dedication⁣ ⁣ In our brains though, as we scroll through insta though, it’s just another transformation⁣ ⁣ “Oh, that looks nice, I’ll take one of those please!”⁣ ⁣ It becomes something you can just order up ⁣ ⁣ “They got it for them, they can get it for me!”⁣ ⁣ A coach isn’t a barista at Starbucks, they can’t just pump out the same order for everyone.⁣ ⁣ Only you can get results. To do that, you must put in work. You must do what it takes⁣ ⁣ This is where most people fall short. They want the end result; the body, the lost weight, the chiseled abs, the big arms⁣ ⁣ When it comes down to it though, when shit gets hard, and they realize what it is truly going to take to get to that point, most people quit⁣ ⁣ So can I get you awesome results? Hell yes, of course. But only if you’re willing to put in the work.⁣ ⁣ As I told my client, It’s called WORKING OUT. Not hanging out, or chilling out. Its hard fucking work. ⁣ ⁣ If you’re willing to put the work in, I can show you the way. Put you on the right path, avoid roadblocks, make it so you are making real, continual progress from day 1. Help you when you (inevitably) hit a plateau. ⁣ ⁣ I will sort through all of the nonsense out there, and let you know what is and what isn’t real when it comes to exercise and diet. Help you build a plan that works for your lifestyle, not the other way around. Help you remold your entire relationship with food⁣ ⁣ THAT is what I do.
