@flyforaginger looking bomb af in that outfit out hiking earlier this year. I know we are all missing getting out on proper hiking trails, travelling, being more free, and everything, I am too. We’ll be able to go out again this summer hopefully. Gotta stay hopeful. • • • • • • • • #fatwanderbabes #unlikelyhikers #effyourbeautystandards #bodypositive #bodypositivity #wildernessbabe #sheexplores #womenwhoexplore #sheisthewild #womenwhohike #wanderbabe #fatliberation #fatpositive #fatactivism #bodypos #bodypositivemovement #allbodiesaregoodbodies #allbodiesarebeautiful #iweigh #fatgirlstravelling #fatgirlshiking #fatbabe

Oh the places we can’t go 😭. But if we all keep doing our part it will pass.

Going for an evening stroll after everyone left the sunset trail. Sometimes you have to be okay with walking in the dark if you want to hit the trails without seeing people. It’s day 26 of quarantine for us and we are trying to look ahead to what’s next. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We’re staying at our current campsite outside of Sedona until June 1. But after that, it will likely be too hot for us to stay here. The average high is over 100° and our RV just can’t keep up with that heat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We don’t know what the country will look like in eight weeks. Personally, we don’t think things will be back to normal for a long time. So what do we do? Currently, this is what we’re thinking: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Option 1: Find another RV park farther north somewhere that has space for a long-term stay (2-3 months). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Option 2: Make the long, long drive back to the Midwest to stay with family. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What would you do?

Today I was sitting outside on my balcony, working in the sun☀️😎, started sweating and burning. I already miss the days where I lived infront of an ocean and my backyard had a ton of different lakes to jump in and cool down🏞️. Oh pleaaaase I wanna go back now, I can't cope with the heat (it's only 20 degrees but it feels haaaawt) 🏖️🥵 . . This is Waugh lake only 1 minute away from my old house 🏡💖 so many memories were made here.... #love #nature #lakelife

I’m currently sitting in my jeep on the ferry heading to Nanaimo, and then onto Courtenay BC (back to my hometown) because I am starting a new job soon in Campbell River! I really miss group hikes + adventures with the Fat Girls Hiking community. . In May 2015, Fat Girls Hiking was born. It started as a silly trail song my girlfriend at the time and I made up to cope with our discomfort at the looks we got from other hikers. 🎶We’re just two fat girls hiking...🎶 I didn’t know what Fat Girls Hiking would become when I started the Instagram page 5 years ago. But I did know that I wanted to feel like I belong out there in the forest. I knew I wanted to go slow on trails and not feel shame for it. I knew I wanted to take up space in the outdoors. I knew I wanted a group where we could all be unapologetically fat (or whoever we are) without toxic diet culture. I knew I wanted a community where I could be open and vulnerable and others could do the same. I wanted a safer space to heal with nature. And now, in 2020, as we approach the 5 year anniversary of Fat Girls Hiking becoming a community, I feel lost. I have so much empathy but the world feels overwhelming right now. I want to hold this space for you but I’m not sure how. I don’t have any answers. But I know Fat Girls Hiking will continue to evolve and grow and I will be there with and for y’all on this journey. Whatever that looks like, I’m not sure yet. . #stayhome . 📍Ancestral land of the Tillamook and Siletz people. . ID: [ 9 people stand around and on a big tree with green moss covering its bark. So I know I just posted a photo of @adventurelikeagirl but please read the caption. It’s so damn important. Can we talk about how so many people are saying awful things about fat bodies right now? ——— A dozen times a day I scroll past some meme or post that’s supposed to be funny. It says something like “summer body brought to you by quarantine snacks” with a picture of a fat person, or “make sure you put on real clothes at least once a week or else you might not be able to fit in them when this is over.” Cartoonized images of the virus itself depict it as a green, slimy fat creature. These posts are supposed to be funny. But what are they really saying? ——— What they really say is that society thinks fat people are lazy and sit at home all day stuffing their faces. They insinuate that fat bodies are less valuable, less worthy, less deserving, or that the human beings living in those bodies are inherently bad. Here’s the thing: you are absolutely allowed to be unhappy in your body and want to lose weight. You’re also allowed to love the way your body looks NOW and not want to gain any weight. Bodies are very personal things, and we all get to feel our feelings about them. What you really should think twice about doing is posting something that essentially says you’re terrified of getting fat, like it’s a disease or a condemnation. ——— Fat in and of itself is not a condescending or dirty word. I am fortunate to know many, many fat people who love their bodies and wouldn’t trade them for a size 2 for anything. Me personally? I struggle with body image on a many-times-a-day basis, even though I try not to show it. When you post things about trying not to “get fat” while self-isolating and being lazy, all I hear is “this person is horrified of looking like me; this person thinks I’m lazy.” Please don’t fat-shame to make yourself feel better about your own choices right now. ——— Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. I’m going to take my fat ass for a hike because despite the emotional abuse I give this body on a daily basis, I know that I am not lazy, unworthy, or “less than” and I know what sorts of amazing things this fat body is capable of.

I went out to my favorite trail yesterday late afternoon/evening. I've hiked it dozens and dozens of times in the last year. The trails here are still open, so long as you social distance from anyone you meet on the trail (note: this doesn't mean to go hiking with your friends while maintaining a 6 ft. difference. I checked.) The two people I saw observed this rule, I'm happy to report. ⠀ .⠀ Anyway, we've had really heavy rains the last week (REALLY heavy), and I was shocked at how much it had changed since I was there last week. ⠀ .⠀ It was completely different.⠀ .⠀ There's were dozens of trees down all over. The whole valley had clearly flooded, and there were rocks and shall EVERYWHERE. The little one foot waterfall I cross was just....gone. The power of the water had completely destroyed and flattened the area. The creek was in a slightly different spot in some areas. It was amazing and sobering, truthfully, to see how quickly it had changed.⠀ .⠀ But there were other signs, too - of Spring. There was green grass sprouting up everywhere, and LOTS of plants peeking. Even though deluged by water, these sprouts survived and looked SO green and alive. It made me feel like I was walking through The Secret Garden. ⠀ .⠀ It was wonderful.⠀ .⠀ Obviously, there's a comparison you can easily draw here to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though changed, we survive and flourish.⠀ .⠀ Stay healthy.⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Tag #misfithikers to be featured!⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ #misfithikers #clevelandhikes #bedfordreservation #hikingphotography #unlikelyhikers #fatandoutdoorsy #plussizeadventure #outsidewithpride #optoutside #diversityinnature #natureforall #hiking #hike #fatgirlshiking #shehikes #sheexplores #blueblazes #sisumagazine #ohioexplored #landscape #hikingadventures #ohioviews #fatwanderbabes #picoftheday #instagood #spring #flowers #coronavirus #togetherwestand⠀

One year ago today, my best friend @miztressmouse and I hiked Waterton Canyon, our longest hike ever. It twists my heart a little right now to look at the photos and see how carefree and happy we were. For the past few years, hiking got stitched right into my sense of self, so it’s hard to figure out what that means now when I have to stay in the city, indoors, and away from the trails for the most part. Who am I if hiking gets taken away? I guess I think it means tapping into the things that have made me a good hiker in the first place. The things that can’t get taken away: perseverance, courage, adaptability, vulnerability. Sending you love and comfort 💗

A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step. 🚶‍♀️So what do you do in this crazy and weird time? Do you wait until things get better or do you actually use your time wisely? Wasn't there always that one project you wanted to start of finish but you never had the time to? ⌚Didn't you wanted to start journeling? 📃Become more creative and artsy? 🎨Well guess what? There was no better time then right now to start with whatever you want! Shift your #mindset and start taking the opportunities you have ❤️ keep yourself busy to stay sane and safe 😘

This is not where I am right now. But I wish I was. 🌲 We are trying to do lots of walks and stay close, but it just isn’t in the cards for me right now to get out far enough in the back country with a toddler to also keep respectful social distancing and not travel too far, traveling through communities that are not my own. Anyone have any tips on how you’re getting outside while also doing your part for #covid_19?

Throwback to September 2018. Summit of Mount Bailey. We had clear views on the way up but once we reached the summit, thick cold fog. Such a bummer, but just means I need to do it again in the future. Thankfully it’s been there a long time and should continue to stand, covid-19 won’t make it disappear so there will much time for adventures in the years to come. Community care means we have to stay home right now. I talk a lot about community care and self care because it is vital to our well being. We want to belong, be accepted and heal with nature. How can we responsibly care for ourselves and each other during self isolation and quarantine? 1. Stay home. Except for essential workers and items (food and meds), stay home. 2. Connect with nature in your own yard/apartment. Plant seeds, touch your house plants, watch nature documentaries or read nature inspired books/blogs. Drop your nature movie/book/blog suggestions in the comments! 3. Walk around your neighborhood and abide by 6ft separation between people not living in your home. 4. Start a nature journal. You can write about places in nature you’re going to visit when it’s safe to do so again. You can write about the places you feel most connected to in nature. Free write, there are no rules! 5. Draw/paint/color nature inspired art! 6. Use apps that help you stay connected to nature. SkyView (learn about stars & constellations), Happy Color (color by number! Lots of nature, animals and birds), Native Land (learn about whose land you’re living on- use google for this information too), The Moon (learn about moon phases and our connection to the moon), Picture This (plant identification). Any other good ones? 7. Stay tuned to soothing nature videos in the Fat Girls Hiking stories! . I know this time is challenging for everyone and I hope y’all can find ways to connect with nature in your home/neighborhood. It is our responsibility to care for vulnerable communities during this pandemic by staying home. I don’t like it either but we have to adjust and adapt our way of living temporarily for the well being of others. I can’t wait to get back together on hikes and camping trips once it’s safe again. So much love to you all! #stayhome —Summer FGH founder . 📍Ancestral land of the Chinook, Nehalem, Clatsop and Tillamook people. . 📸 by Summer, FGH founder . Image descriptions in comments.

😝 Fat with an F 😝 •CW• Being fat hasn’t always been a neutral statement for me. My negative self-talk and body image pervaded through my teens and into my twenties, where I spent most of my time trying to be smaller. I said things like, “I’m a thin person in a fat persons body,” and “I feel better when I’m only eating for nutrition,” amongst other much more self-deprecating statements. I thought that I had to be smaller to be seen, to be sexy, to be smart even. I was never thankful for what my body could do. • Today I feel at home in my body. I focus on it’s accomplishments and abilities. I enjoy a life with cooking and eating delicious foods. I SEE MYSELF. I wear big dresses and bold patterns because I like to take up space. I practice yoga regularly and always try to take a moment to be grateful for my body and how amazing it is at moving me through this life. • #wanderfreeandqueer #queerfemme #fatandqueer #queerwitch #queercommunity #queerwomen #fatfemme #fatfemme #fatbabe #fatandhappy #takingupspaceoutdoors #fatgirlstravel #fatandoutdoors #plussizetraveltoo #curvygirltravels #fatwanderbabes #fatfeminist #fatpositive #fatisnotabadword #bodypositivemovement #bodypositiveattitude #bodypositivity #torrid #fatfashion #selflovejourney #healingmyself #fatyoga #selflovematters #everybodyyoga #queertravel

Is crippling anxiety the new normal? ⠀ All things considered, we are hanging in there. We are doing a good job taking turns melting down. Danella leans into my support one day, and I rely on hers the next. ⠀ Danella is doing a great job moderating how much news input she’s receiving, but I’m finding myself obsessively checking covid-19 headlines throughout the day. ⠀ ➡️ Are you a constant news-checker, or are you keeping a maintaining a healthy relationship with the broadcasts? ⠀ #wanderfreeandqueer #sedona #sedonaaz #sedonaarizona #sedonahiking #rvlife #rvliving #rvlifestyle #rvcouple #rvnomads #bellrock #courthousebutte #cathedralrock #fatgirlshiking #trailsnotscales #unlikelyhikers #fatwanderbabes #fatfemme #queerfemme #sheadventures #womenontheroad #womenwhoexplore #lgbtqcouple #outandproud #hersandhers #lovehasnogender #tomboyfemme #trailslikethese

So thankful we are safe and hunkered down in Sedona with our RV besties, @wander.free.and.queer! It’s been incredible to not feel so alone and have friends to share meals, hikes, and plenty of laughs with during all of this. And don’t worry - we all quarantined for 10+ days before camping next to each other to make sure one of us wasn’t sick. 😷 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We’ve been really strict about isolating for the last two weeks and will continue to do so. We’re only leaving our little camping area for two things: grocery store runs and hiking. Lucky for us, Sedona has 400+ miles of hiking trails! But we’re still being super cautious and hiking on less popular trails or hiking early in the morning to avoid people. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Does that mean we won’t get to see some of the “main attractions” in Sedona? Yes. And we are perfectly happy with that. ☺️

13

Enjoy nature but keep that 6 feet of distance. This is an oldie taken when I was in Dublin B.C (Before Corona) and it has me thinking how lucky I am to have Sean during these lockdown times. It hit me this morning when I woke up, just how isolating this can feel by yourself. No human touch for a few weeks? Talk about a mind fuck. I know a few of you are alone while you’re isolating and know i am here for you. I know I can’t hug you but we can have a virtual tea date. PS How are you being kind to yourself? I love a few new ideas!

It feels sort of weird to be promoting work right now, but I’m trying to remember that people want to read more than just the news—I keep telling my writer friends this so that they can keep writing and putting work out into the atmosphere and I haven’t been following my own advice. I want us to keep having conversations to think about what the future needs to look like, to think about solutions to the problems we had before social distancing, and how to create a more equitable world moving forward. So here are my two contributions this morning. The first a piece for (@snewsteam) SNEWS’s Her Voice column, about how to shift from the now co-opted term “body positive” to something more inclusive. The second, an op-ed for The Voice, is a call for better gear and clothing design processes for bigger bodies. Links are in my bio, and below: https://www.snewsnet.com/people/body-positivity-isnt-enough-the-outdoor-industry-needs-inclusivity And p.20 at this link https://issuu.com/activeinterestmedia-boulder/docs/the_voice_jan_2020 There’s a group of us plus-sized adventurers who trade tips about what works and what doesn’t. We know which brands give a damn and the ones that will leave you caught out there with a deflated sleeping pad. When people write us asking about gear, we’re funneling them to the brands that have never let us down. Thank you to Leslie Barrett (@ridiculeslie), Elisabeth Kwak (@elisabethkwak) and Kristin Hostetter (@kristinhos) for helping me hone my thoughts. I hope that brands take notice and start working on solutions to get #everybodyoutside. I had a lot of fantastic outdoor experiences last year, but this memory tops my list: frolicking around in the North Carolina sunshine with @themirnavator and @iamlshauntay being black AF and not caring what anybody thought. I made new friends, hiked some amazing trails, and had an awesome time. That is the power of representation—you get to be yourself.

Fear has built up like a wall around me. I am lost, numb, frozen. I want more than anything to be able to offer you comfort and care right now but I don’t have the capacity for it. I am barely able to take care of myself. This grief is huge on my sensitive heart. I’ve been crying a lot. My compassion for others runs so deep within me and lately, it overwhelms me. Solo self isolation and shelter in place while in a van in a small rural town is a strange place. This all is so strange! Everyone feels the impact. I know that I’m not alone in my grief, fear, sadness and barely holding it together. Somehow that brings me comfort. We are in this together. I wish I could offer you some virtual hikes or be able to figure out a way to keep this organization afloat financially but I can’t right now. All I can do is get out of bed everyday, go for walks in my town, make myself meals, read books, write, craft and watch tv. And that’s enough. Yesterday I had to turn my phone off for most of the day because social media and the news was just too much. So I took my camera for a walk and really looked at the world, the beautiful foggy beach, the sand dunes and drift wood. I am so grateful to be alive! To be here. I am raw and open and vulnerable and that, too, is a beautiful thing. Whatever you can do, is enough right now. Shame has no place here. I am enough right now and so are you. I hold so much space for you in my heart. I find little bits of joy every where. I find funny videos that make me smile. I remember that it will not always feel like this. 💕 Love, Summer Fat Girls Hiking founder . 📍 Ancestral land of Chinook, Nehalem, Tillamook and Clatsop people . 📸 by Summer . ID in comments

Throwback to August, attempting (unsuccessfully) to climb Mt. Sherman. One thing I’ve learned from hiking that’s coming in handy now is this: We can be afraid but also be brave at the same time. They’re not mutually exclusive, not at all. It’s okay to be afraid, it’s okay to feel lost, it’s okay to feel tired of trying. All of those things are part of survival. We can keep going, even when it seems impossible.

Who else is lately feeling like they need a good hug? Anxiety alert is through the roof!! . . I am making sure that I am walking at least 1hr in nature, controlling my breath and letting go of my toughts.🚶🌲 Sometimes it's just nice to feel the calm and relaxing vibe of #mothernature. It is so necessary to go outside, to stay grounded.🌱💚 . . My head is in the clouds these days but I think I'm right in those thunderclouds. ☔I can't see and feel what's going on with all the thunder and lightning.⛈️ What helps is to try to get out of those clouds, come back to the ground and whatch the storm roll over. Only then you are able to see the rainbow and the blue sky again 🌈🌞

while being quarantined is certainly no paradise 🏖 as promised, I’ve been trying to focus on some of the positive changes this new way of life has impacted. . 📞I’ve been talking with friends and family wayyyyy more!! I’m connecting more with people in different states (feels like equal opportunity hang time). It is so important to be checking in on each other physically, mentally, and emotionally. 🍳I’ve been cooking more!!! Even trying to convince people to cook the same recipes as me and then go on a virtual dinner date so we can discuss the food! DM me if interested! . 🧖🏻‍♀️I’ve been doing more self-care and self-reflection, checking in with myself in order to monitor my anxieties and fears in the face of this crisis. I’ve also realized *shocker* that I’m such an extrovert and thrive off social energy and in its absence things can be more challenging than I ever imagined. . 🤔I’ve been reflecting more about privilege and all the things that I take for granted and that we as a society take for granted that have been exposed with these restrictions as we search to find ways to help those most in need . As we settle into this new normal, this is truly an opportunity to come together, even if not physically, and think about how to best care for and support each other. This platform has always been a source of tremendous support, so let’s please continue to be here for each other and think of ways you can use your power, influence, knowledge, and love to help get us all through this! . . . . #travelbeyondsize #quarantineandchill #quarantinelife #plussizetravel #plussizetraveltoo #plussizetravelblogger #mexicotravel #tulumtravel #nomadetulum #traveltulum #travelplus #quarantinedtravel #careforeachother #positivechange #selfcarefirst #communitylove #fatgirlstraveling #fatgirlstraveltoo #fatgirlsonthebeach #beautybeyondsize #plussizeswimwear #tulumbeach #wearetravelgirls #fatventurers #girlslovetravel #travelinclusivity #fatwanderbabes

How I’m staying sane while social-distancing and working from home 📝 . -Setting a morning routine and trying to stick to it. I’m getting up with my alarm (who is she??) and making a cup of coffee, washing up, and doing quiet time, meditation with my app, and a yoga video. Then I’ll get ready and start my day . -Keeping a clean and clutter free workspace. When I first started working from home a few days a week last year I would often just get up and work from the couch, but I really felt crummy and quickly developed back pain. Now I make a point to sit at the kitchen table, and even brought home a mouse. Maybe you could also use a monitor. I also spend a few quick minutes at the beginning or end of each day clearing my space . -Making sure to bring plenty of water, and have a few snacks throughout the day . -Keep connected on slack with my coworkers by checking in on everyone and how they are doing, talking about our weekends, and staying social . -Making sure to take plenty of breaks! Getting some rest from the screen and some movement walking around my apartment is crucial . -And also v important is setting clear boundaries to end my day. This is especially important for salaried employees Are you working from home during social distancing? What’s helping you get through the day lately? Which of these tips are you going to start doing?

6

It’s called social-ducking-distancing. #innit How are you practicing it? More importantly remind people to keep their space when out and about for walks and exercise. You won’t believe how many people didn’t care on this walk that I did on Sunday. Let’s enjoy outside time but responsibly!!!

How are you staying safe on the trails? At the end of day today, Ohio is moving to a shelter in place order. . In the hiking fb groups I belong to, there's been a lot of people organizing backpacking trips since they're "off" for the week. Or saying to ignore the shelter in place and social distancing, because we're going to get it anyway so it doesn't matter. . It does matter, because when hospitals get overrun with too many sick people at once, then people die. . In Ohio, the state parks are still open with the facilities closed. There's a LOT of people on the trail. They're recommending two things while on the trail: to maintain social distancing (6-10 feet) and not to touch any hand railings, etc. Please listen to this - there were quite a few joggers on the trail that just...didn't. Even when I asked for them to let me get off the trail. One even rolled their eyes. People process stress in different ways, but ignoring CDC and park guidelines is going to end with the parks closing till this is over. We're very lucky they've stay available, and truthfully I don't know if it's a good idea. But they are are, so please follow the rules! . Also keep in mind with the facilities closed they aren't collecting any trash, so PLEASE take it out and home with you!! . Don't be afraid, don't panic. Do what you're supposed to do and encourage others to do the same. . "I don't want you to be afraid. I am not afraid. I am determined." - Amy Acton, Director of Health, Department of Health Ohio . Tag #misfithikers to be featured! . 📍Sagamore Creek Loop, Bedford Reservation, this land originally held in stewardship by the Wyandotte, Mingo, and possibly others. . . . . . . . . . #misfithikers #clevelandmetroparks #dogsofinstagram #unlikelyhikers #gayoutdoors #optoutside #diversityinnature #livetowander #hiking #fatgirlshiking #shehikes #sheexplores #buckeyetrail #bta #blueblazes #disabledhikers #hikelikeawoman #adventure #landscape #hikingadventures #naturepics #diversifyoutdoors #representationmatters #fatwanderbabes #beautiful #waterfall #corona s #picoftheday #instagood

It has been hard living in this part of the country when I am used to the beach and the sunshine but I found myself looking forward to returning to the cooling fall weather and misty tall trees on our way back from LA. As much as I don’t want to admit it, the Pacific Northwest is starting to feel a little more like home, at least for now🌲 . . . . . . . . #washingtonexplored #pnwwonderland #pnwdiscovered #explorewashington #exploreseattle #westcoastlife #travelseattle #localtourist #upperleftusa #budgettravel #adventuresabound #wanderwashington #womenwhoexplorewashington #womenwhotravel #ladiesleavingfootprints #athomeintheworld #fatgirlshiking #pnwoutdoorwomen #thegreatpnw #getoutsidemore #rei1440project #howtohike #fatwanderbabes #shoestringtravel #dayhikesnearseattle #seattledayhike #adventuresaboundinwashington #snoqualmiefalls #snoqualmie #snoqualmieriver

I took a picture in front of this mural too but honestly it deserves to be shown on its own. My husband and I made a trip to LA for the weekend and decided to drive down to San Diego for the day. I couldn’t go all the way down there without finally checking out @artelexia’s vibrant and colorful shop! This beautiful mural by @channinfulton was just one little corner in a shop full of bright colors and lively decorations. 💐 I have been following her on Instagram for a few months and it was such a pleasure to see her beautiful shop in person. . . . . . . . . . . . . #liveyouradventure #exploreyourcity #localtourist #traveleverywhere #budgettravel #adventuresabound #travelamerica #exploreyourhome #seeyourcity #traveltheglobe #californialife #sandiegoliving #socallife #caligrammers #californiadreamin #ladiesleavingfootprints #girlsthatwander #californiacoast #explorecalifornia #greetingsfromsandiego #sandiego_ca #sandiegoart #fatwanderbabes #budgettraveler #budgettravelling #budgettraveltips #travelcalifornia #westcoastblogger #adventuresaboundincalifornia #shoestringtravel

Day 2 in California was full of what we expected- bright colors, trendy boutiques and cafes, beautiful murals on every corner, and bumper-to-bumper traffic that doubled our commute ⠀ 🌴⠀ Something I am still learning is that travel is just as glamorous as everyday life. There are just as many (if not more) blunders when traveling as there are at home. ⠀ 🚗🚙🚕⠀ One of the ways we let things go is saying “this will be a funny story later even if it is frustrating right now” but I can tell you I was not laughing when sitting in Labor Day traffic for hours when all we wanted to do was explore!⠀ 🥑⠀ Once we arrived in San Diego it all melted away and we made the most of being there. The journey may not always be glamorous, and neither may your morning commute be. But in trying to take a lesson away from this trip- we will be looking at those frustrations a little differently and trying to find little adventures where ever we can . . . . . . . . . #liveyouradventure #exploreyourcity #localtourist #traveleverywhere #budgettravel #adventuresabound #travelamerica #exploreyourhome #seeyourcity #traveltheglobe #californialife #sandiegoliving #socallife #caligrammers #californiadreamin #ladiesleavingfootprints #girlsthatwander #californiacoast #explorecalifornia #greetingsfromsandiego #sandiego_ca #sandiegoart #fatwanderbabes #budgettraveler #budgettravelling #budgettraveltips #travelcalifornia #westcoastblogger #adventuresaboundincalifornia #shoestringtravel

Would you believe me if I told you this lush wonderland scene exists? This photo is completely unedited. This green paradise is just over the border from where I live in North Vancouver, BC. I want to go back and spend a week in these gorgeous woods, don’t you?🌲 . . . . . . . . . #pnwwonderland #pnwdiscovered #liveyouradventure #westcoastlife #travelphotography #travelblogger #exploreyourcity #localtourist #traveleverywhere #travelstories #travelmoments #budgettravel #adventuresabound #britishcolumbia #lynncanyon #northvancouver #vancouverphotographer #hikecanada #travelcanada #betweentwopines #weekendadventures #weekendwarriors #getoutside #hikers #freshairandfreedom #ladiesleavingfootprints #fatwanderbabes #adventuresaboundincanada #britishcolumbiacanada #vancouvercanada

Taken on a wander walk in the hazy fire glaze of Portland last summer. Everything was covered in ash and red glow from a forest fire and felt surreal. This larger than life sunflower just added to the whimsy of an upside down trip. 🌻 . . . . . . . . . . #portland #pnwonderland #oregon #traveloregon #travelportland #keepportlandweird #pnwwonderland #pnwdiscovered #sunsplashed #adventuresabound #westcoastlife #travelphotography #travelblogger #exploreyourcity #localtourist #traveleverywhere #travelstories #travelmoments #upperleftusa #budgettravel #slowtravel #findyourpassion #seeyourcity #sunnyportland #plantsmakepeoplehappy #sunshineinmysoul #oregonlife #fatwanderbabes #oregonexplored #adventuresaboundinoregon

My first royal palace was this day trip to the Chateau de Versailles just outside of the city of Paris. It was full of tourists so naturally my favorite part was wandering alone in the elaborate garden that felt more like a forest and catching views like this - ones you would miss if you just ran from destination to destination without pausing to enjoy the view along the way. 🍃 . . . . . . . . #parisjetaime #parisdaytrip #paris #weekinparis #tasteofFrance #travelfrance #adventureseeker #adventuresabound #adventureanywhere #travelstories #winetour #winenot #wineandcheese #seetheworld #birthdaytrip #frenchwine #exploretheglobe #chateaudeversailles #travelingornot #traveldetails #parisonabudget #wanderlustcollective #gltlove #fatwanderbabes #adventuresaboundinfrance #thingstodoinfrance #thingstodoinparis #palaceofversailles #budgettravel #shoestringtravel
