Feeling really good after this evening’s leg session 💪🏻 . My workout: 🌟 3x8 smith machine squats 🌟 3x5 smith machine split squats (per leg) 🌟 3x5 sumo deadlifts 🌟 4x5 Romanian deadlifts 🌟 3x8 hip thrusts . I got to the gym twice this week, happy with that! I’m finding that although I’m not progressing as quickly in terms of getting stronger, I’m not losing any muscle mass despite only training 2-3 times a week and that’s good enough for me ☺️ Off to Leeds tomorrow to visit my sister at uni, so excited 😁 happy Friday everyone 🎉

Operation Dense AF will be done almost exclusively @rippedgymbasildon this back is going to get f***ing Wide as the Clyde (Might even get those calves to grow a bit as well eh). Why do I train at Ripped? 1. Best equipped bodybuilding gym in the southeast. 2. They actually maintain it and keep it clean. 3. The people that run the place are awesome especially @krystle__rippedgym 4. They have a great cafe with amazing food on site. 5. They have attractive female members 😂😂😂 6. Everyone is there to train seriously, it's a proper gym not a spa or "health club" 7. One of my goals the past few months has been to do a handstand FREE from the wall && I kindaaa forgot about it until my friend Danielle mentioned it was one of HER goals, too 😍 Not even gonna lie...walked into the gym this morning and was like...NOPE! Just wasn't feelin it -- pre-workout & all, lol. But I did stay to put together a few videos & even give that ^ goal a lil attention 🤸‍♀️ And you KNOW me...gotta make something motivational outta it, right??! But seriously you guys...I was watching this clip and no hesitation, the FIRST thought that came into my mind was PERSISTENCE. Sure, I was pissed off that I kept fallinggg, but the goal doesn't stop being my goal just because it takes a little longer to hit it than my instant-gratification mindset wants to accept...and I get asked this A LOT in conversations about coaching. How do you keep going when people quit? How do you show-up on days you're exhausted, depressed, anxious, LIFE happens? Do you have a goal you've been wanting to hit, but can't seem to figure out WHY you're still missing it?? Persistence. That's it. AND sure, I still complain, BUT I use my struggles as my WHY to push through the tough times, not a crutch to stay in my comfort zone. I try & fail & try AGAIN, over & over, until I make it happen because I KNOW that no one is EVER going to want MY goal, MY island life as badly as I do...so even as frustrated as I was not being able to hold this handstand for more than a second, I'm choosing INSTEAD to focus on that ONE SECOND as a TRIUMPH & that with persistence...all things are possible ♥️ PS: I believe in youuu! at Wilmington, North Carolina

HAPPY #FLEXFRIDAY EVERYONE!💪 Here I am flexing my little arms muscles which I'm super duper proud of, the top pic was three months ago and the bottom was this week.💗 . Progress on gaining muscle is always slow, but consistency will inevitably show results.😃 The key exercises I love focusing on for my arms and shoulders are: ▫️Assisted pull-ups (wide and narrow grip) ▫️Bicep curls (good isolation exercise) ▫️Standing shoulder press with barbell aka military press ▫️Seated overhead dumbbell press ▫️Tricep pull downs on cable machine ▫️Dumbbell side lateral raise . Do these exercises regularly (3 times I week I do but once or twice is great too!) and make sure you up your weight every couple of weeks to keep challenging yourself!💪💕 . I do love a wee shoulder pump 💪🏻 . . Reflecting on this week and even if I do say so myself I bossed it!! 🤗 Training split days with cardio fasted in the morning with weight training at night has been a complete winner and food has been on point. . . Get this right? I upped my calories, tracked my macros properly and as of this morning I was 4lbs ⬇️ since Sunday👌🏻😬 but more importantly that what the scale says - I FEEL FAB!!! . . I hear it everyday: "Hard work pays off", "Work hard in silence", Work beats talents 7 days a week". Guys, let's be honest and aware that each of us has strengths and weaknesses. We can't all be doctors or lawyers. So what? Spend all of your energy and time to figure out what we you into. Find out what's your gift because each person has something within. That something is your story, it's that unique thing that makes you special. Sounds clichee? Maybe because you gave up searching for that something. I assure you that once you find that passion, that thing that you love and are willing to do for free, at that moment my friends you will find happiness. The problem in today's society is that we are thought to play is safe and not step out of the crowd because we might fail. Do you prefer 80 years of slavery rather than 30 years of doing what you truly love? It might be risky, it might be something like skydiving which might kill you one day,so what? I would rather die happy than with regrets. If you decide to follow that path, go all the way, with no regrets, no looking back and absolutely no excuses. Third lower session of the week. After two sessions focusing on strength, today’s workout was focused on tension in the targeted muscle throughout the exercise. Using a slightly lighter weight, with more time under tension is a good way to add intensity to your workout. In this workout I am also able to perform exercises ensuring my weaker side is working just as hard as the stronger side, an issue that needs addressing in a lot of trainees. Exercises: Romanian deadlifts: feel the lift more in your hamstrings by imagining your glutes being pulled towards the back of your knees by your hamstrings when lifting back up. Tuck your tail bone under and squeeze glutes when upright. Hack squats: focus on your quads throughout the movement. Pause at the bottom of the squat to feel the top of your quads working. Hex bar deadlifts: lower the weight slowly, with hips moving backwards. Do not release tension when the weight is touching the floor, instead feel the stretch before accelerating back to the top. Walking lunge: lean into the front leg while keeping body upright. Lift with the front leg, tucking hips under and squeezing the glute as you stand upright.
