Its the death date of Bettye Caroline Yaller, but is representative of all our fallen sisters. <3 Thank you to Vikki Yaller Radow for allowing us to use her Mother's date for the memorial. Not the most aesthetically pleasing photo BUT it might be informative to some people. A question I get a lot is what my diet consists of and I thought I would show a picture of my breakfast since I eat both of these foods on a daily basis: Eggs and Oatmeal There are no magic foods that'll make you lose weight but I definitely think that these two foods have helped contributed to my fat loss/muscle gain. Let's start with eggs. Eggs are a great source of protein and will keep you full for a long time. Eggs are also high in fat. Eating a breakfast high in fat helps support brain function (perfect if you're in school like me and need that extra boost to pay attention and get through my 9 am 🤓). I normally mix eggs and liquid egg whites together to add extra protein. Now some people get freaked out by eating oatmeal because it is high carb. Let me tell you something. CARBS ARE NOT THE ENEMY. I REPEAT. CARBS ARE NOT THE ENEMY. Carbs are necessary for survival and for creating muscle. Oats are high in fiber which gets your digestive system going. Not only that but oats will keep you super full PLUS you can make them however you want and put whatever you want in them. Lastly, I take vitamins with my breakfast. I have fiber gummies (bc who doesn't love gummies) also to help with digestion. I'm currently taking diuretics as a part of prep (definitely not necessary for the average person) and I take magnesium to also help with digestion (can you tell I'm all about gut health? 😅😂) Anyways, sorry for the long ass caption. Hopefully this was somewhat helpful for someone 😂 at Michigan State University

"Why do you work out so much?" That's a question I get asked so often by so many people. The one thing you must know is that it stopped being about weightloss a long time ago. I fell in love with fitness from the moment i started with it but i just didn't realise just how much of an impact it would have on my life. People don't realise just how much fitness plays in the non physical parts of your life. I've literally become a stronger individual physically, yes, but more importantly mentally, emotionally, and in any other way you can think of. I've always been a disciplined individual but with fitness came a whole new level of discipline. Everything about me has elevated. Fitness teaches you so many things. Triumph. That failure is a natural part of every process, but is not final. It just gives you another chance to try until you succeed. Teaches you to not be afraid of moving out of your comfort zone. Shows you how to set goals and work at achieving them and never giving up on them even when progress is slow. Teaches the value of putting an actual effort into the things you do and that you should never underestimate your ability to do something, even if it looks like a mountain of a task. Shows you that you're capable of doing everything that you put your mind to. Those are just a few of the tonnes of things I've derived from fitness. It's so much more than just a good body or fitting into that pair of jeans or shedding a few kilos here and there. That's why i love working out so much. It's played such important part in shaping the person I am at this moment and that's an individual who (although still has a lot of growth to do) I am thoroughly content with...💙💚💙💚 Start your week strong!!!
