The best thing about crossfit is you can modify ANYTHING to what you are comfortable doing. Today’s WOD was everything that I couldn’t do with my left hand so my amazing coach wrote out a completely different WOD for me to do. 20 minute AMRAP - 200m run, 20 GHD sit-ups, 10 RKBS @ 26lbs and 15 boxjumps. I got to the gym and realized I forgot a sports bra so regular bra it was (felt weird...very weird). Then I wondered if the crop top even matched my leggings and said "who cares" after a 7 second deliberation. I got very sweaty for a back and shoulders day, but it felt good. I've been doing military presses again and I hope to actually see an improvement of strength this time. I was doing them when I was doing the 5x5 program and just couldn't get past a certain weight. Finding BALANCE is key 🔑 - When I started my fitness journey, I thought I had to workout 6 days a week, eat spinach and chicken breast 24/7 and only have 1 cheat meal a week or I'd never be fit. - Does this mindset sound healthy to you? I sure hope not... because it's TERRIBLE. And I KNOW some people still think this way but I'm here to tell you that it's not true. You can enjoy yourself and still be fit. You can have more than 1 treat a week and still be fit. You can workout only 3 days a week and still be fit!! - Fitness is not all or nothing. It is not a one size fits all formula. Different things work for different people. You need to find your balance! Find what works best for you and stick with it. Not only will you see results, but you won't end up crashing, burning and giving up all together! - If you need help finding balance, comment below with your biggest struggle and I will try to suggest something to help you 💓💓 at Edmonton, Alberta

❤️ Who doesn’t carry any artery in their purse?? I always go places prepared 😂🤣🤪 This little thing is like a stress reliever ball and I just happened to throw it in my purse. But on that note, if your wondering what high cholesterol can do, or if you hear of someone having a blockage in their heart artery (heart attack or going in for a cath to get a stent place to open the blockage!) this is what they are talking about. ‼️ What can happen if you smoke, have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, or a family hx... Puts you at greater risk for your artery to look like that. So do yourself a favor and take care of your body. For yourself and your family! Sorry, I have had a few questions with regards to health so I just laying it all out there 😉 💕And luckily I got good results back from my lipid check! I originally started this journey in hopes of being skinny, really focusing on all the things I could lose. And yes, I know this is like waaaayy too cliche, BUT the amount of things I’ve gained on this journey is indescribable. I became an online wellness coach at the heaviest, most unhealthy point in my body - aka my pride rock was built out of beer cans and crunch wraps 🤙🏽- because I knew it would keep me in check and give me the accountability I needed all while learning through the process. That’s the stuff that lights my fiiiire, y’all 🔥. I LOVE learning and growing. I was totes that kid that loved going back to school because I could get fresh notebooks + pencils— like if writing in a new notebook isn’t orgasmic🤓 to you, thennnn you’re not my people. Haha! Jk jk. ANYWAYS — GAINS. My favorite gain of this journey has been my mindset. I went from outwardly making fat jokes about myself (I’m basically Chandler, I cope through awkward jokes) to feeling freaking empowered daily and turning it into a CAREER uplifting other women🙌🏽. We’ve created a MOVEMENT y’all. If you ask ANY successful health nut like myself, we did NOT start this journey knowing all of the things that shift in your brain🧠 Don’t forget to flex that brain muscle booo. It’s more important than your quad separation or that burning desire than a thigh gap anyways🤷🏼‍♀️ at Uruma

I did my measurements today and I'm down another 1.75 inches this week. And that's without counting my abdomen measurements. I'm down two inches on my abdomen. I know a huge part of that is sticking to this lupus friendly diet... and working on getting the appropriate amount of sleep. As well as removing stress! Stress is such a killer! Yay week 2!

Ever have those weeks where you feel like everything is going wrong?😕 This week has been a hell of a roller coaster! Health wise, that is! • Had the weirdest and largest spider bite on my thigh for 5 days • Shoulder & hip pain preventing me from lifting free weights & sleeping because of how painful it is • Hormones are errrwhere bc tmi: time of the month 👹 So acne & bloating has no mercy right now. I’m up 3-4 lbs because of it. But I can allow these thing to get me down! Things happen unexpectedly and all at once sometimes! Life throws you small curve balls like this. Last night I caught myself feeling frustrated because I felt like my fitness goals were put on hold but then I realized that I was training and dieting so aggressively and strict that it made me not focus on my internal health & instead just focus on what I looked like on the outside. Health comes first, always. 💛 at Gb3 North

👊🏼Truth So many people talk about wanting to make that step but don’t. If you want something bad enough you will do it! It’s all about what u think is important and a priority. What helped me is that I started posting on social media so I felt like putting it out there keeps me motivated to keep it going. * So announcing it to people that U are going to do something will make u more likely to do it!! Working out is my therapy! I enjoy it and it’s my stress reliever. ❓Do u have family history of health issues? Do you yourself have high blood pressure that u have to take meds for (or might eventually)? Do you suffer from anxiety/ depression? Then DO something about it! The only thing holding you back is yourself! Do you realize there is always going to be someone who has a busier or more difficult life then u (I’m not saying there are points during your life that would definitely be hard, Im meaning saying your job as a whole or having kids...) We don’t know what goes on behind closed doors... and I’m not saying I don’t have bad days or weeks that make it hard to eat right and work out. But it’s important enough to me to get back on track! Why do I like coaching so much?? . I get to work from anywhere, like this cute little coffee shop I found! The hiit portion of my workout today. I love that I get it all in this program: lifting, hiit, and core. Definitely works up a sweat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 30 seconds each move, 3 rounds, 15 seconds rest time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today’s moves: ▪️Catchers- when you jump be sure to land in squat position. ▪️Triple bears- make sure your knees stay under your hips & 2 inches off of ground. ▪️Sumo squat jumps- chest lifted and knees behind toes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Time to sweat it out!

Life is hard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Of course the terrible & sad things but also just LIFE. The comparison game. The bills to pay. The mental battles. The family stuff. The weight to lose. The #adulting. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We all struggle. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve had it on my heart to share my journey. To show people the good & the bad. To show you don’t have to be a fitness model to be fit & healthy. To show that there is more to being healthy than eating an salad. It’s being mentally & emotionally healthy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Over the past year, I’ve really worked on all aspects of my life. Health. Faith. Relationships. Work. Debt. & I’m becoming my happiest & healthiest self. I feel good in my skin. I’m excited about life. I start each morning thankful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is not to say “my life is perfect, I never struggle” but I do believe that because as I’ve worked on my weight loss & focusing on loving who I am, I’m a better person, wife, employee, friend, business owner. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you are on a health journey, here’s my advice: your mental & emotional health has to be a priority too. When wardrobe has your sneakers but you still need to get a workout in. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Kids don't try this at home. 😂 . This a great combo move I love to do for upper and lower body and stability work. . Doing single leg or arm exercises is a great way to add a challenge to your workout. When doing strength training you want to make sure you make each side of your body work individually so that you don't encourage your stronger side to remain more dominant. . THE TRUTH 💣. Most new trainees are confused on where to start on their fitness journey. 👉🏼Firstly, stop copying other people at the gym or IG. Why? This can and will hamper your starting potential (“newbie gains” + movement foundation). 👉🏼 Secondly, hire a knowledgeable professional — I mean, someone with a SOLID track record — to help you with what you should be doing TO GET TO WHERE YOU WANT, rather than just training haphazardly. 👉🏼Thirdly, you’ll progress faster and more efficiently on your own program with less guesswork! 👉🏼Fourthly, you have to maximize where YOU are in your journey. Training usually become more individualized when one is past the beginner stage so the person you’re emulating is most likely already at their Chapter 15 while you’re really still on your sacred Chapter 2. How to take initiative? AGAIN, hire a professional to teach you. Investing in one is NOT FOREVER, but it will have long lasting impact (I daresay a lifetime’s worth) on your training. 🙏🏼🙌🏼⚡️ This is my favorite unilateral power movement for shoulders. Squeeze glutes at hip extension. 😉🙌🏼🤓
