Let go of who you think you’re supposed to be, & be who you are🍃 . Yes, you read the photo the right way around🔝 Today the irony was as I walked around as the girl on the right, I felt free. Free from judgement, free from self-insecurity, free from anxiety- all because physically my appearnce could not set the stage to allow others to judge me for an image💡 . When I‘m the girl on the left, I get stared at, watched, I get messages saying ‘I saw you’. I constantly wonder who is looking & why. Is it because I look ‘fat’, ‘chunky’, ‘not as fit as I should be’, ‘do I look ridiculous in a crop because I’m not fit enough?’, ‘I shouldn’t have tried to be confident, it doesn’t suit me’🤦🏽‍♀️ I am uncomfortable in myself & despite what ‘fitspo’ has you believe, incredibly self-conscious. When I wear certain clothing purchased to make ME feel good, it’s also given the public a reason to think I deserve to be judged in a certain way. Denied or not, we all know what I’m saying is true. Because I – (STRESING I, ME, MYSELF on this), put myself out there. I had unknowingly also opened the door to be judged & analysed by others based on only my appearance🎦 . As I walked around today I had almost accept what looked like, big pimple on my forehead, no makeup, but wore a smile to strangers as I walked past, it’s easier when you don’t think they have already judged you, because I could feel like before we crossed paths, this time girls wern’t giving me ‘they eyes’ because my abs were flaunted, or a lady was deathing me if her husb& was trying to sneak a peak at the cleavage my crop tops may display. I felt just, free🌾 Please don’t take this the wrong way, I know the only way to get around this is SELF-ACCEPTANCE, what I’m trying to say is I am the same girl, It’s also SOCIETY that builds us to see & feel things how we are taught💯 SO if you took the time to read this, think about how you look at others, then most importantly look at yourself. We deserve equal judgement & love from both❤️ at Merewether Baths

#bench day vids: -364lb/ 165kg single (PR again lol) -150kg (double) build up Sometimes looks are deceiving. 165kg felt easy for me but looked like a battle! Followed this with some reps, incline press and shoulder press. Cheers @ainsseasage for the spot! at Anytime Fitness

Crazy to think that about a year and a half ago I was using preloaded 30kg barbells to do hip thrusts and now I’m reppin’ 120kg 🙌🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Something that I seem to always do is doubt myself and underestimate how much I can actually lift, especially my legs. I’m not talking about 1RMs but just pushing myself harder in the gym rather than sitting at weight where I’m comfortable. As an example, for the longest time I was doing only 80kg on the leg press for 12 until I decided to move up and test how far I could go and found out I could do 160kg for 10. I’ve been depriving myself of leg gains all this time 😭😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Moral of the story is, don’t underestimate yourself. You’re only losing gains 💪🏼 P.s does anyone know some double chin exercises? MOVEMENT IS MEDICINE ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There are countless clinical practice guidelines that have grade A evidence to support exercise to manage & prevent an array of different conditions. But how often do you fall short of the national recommendation of 150mins of moderate intensity exercise per week? The Australian government have just released their new campaign “Move It” with “Find your 30” to help promote being more physically active every day. . Physical activity is healthy for all age groups – both endurance-based training and muscle-strengthening activity. We know physical activity for the adult population and older people helps to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, metabolic disease and depression. In addition, higher levels of physical activity have been associated with lowering the risk of some cancers. With research indicating that most health gains are made from those that are physically inactive to incorporating moderately vigorous activity into their daily schedule. . According to the latest 2017 CPG for physical activity for adults and older people: •Physical activity is good for you - the more, the better ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ •Engage in physical activity of moderate intensity for at least 150 minutes every week, spread over different days. The more frequent and vigorous the activity the better the health effects. However, make sure the starting level of activity meets for current fitness level! •Perform strengthening exercise for your muscles and bones 2-3x a week. •Balance exercise is also important to consider implementing, particularly for older individuals •Avoid prolong periods of sitting down or inactivity. It is also recommended for children aged between 4 and 18 years of age to engage in a least one hour of moderately intensive exercise every day. . Prevention is better than a cure. Find your 30minutes a day. Or at least 150minutes of moderate intensity activity per week. Motion is lotion.
