3 Truths About Strength Training We’ve just finished our 12-week strength cycle with Helix Gym and I was doing some journalling on the process this morning. I was inspired to write this piece about some inconvenient truths about training. Here we go… 1. The average days is where you’ll get the pay-days. Showing up when you can’t be fucked, not feeling it and could make a million excuses on why not to train is where the real results are. 2. Sticking to the program and having belief in the program is more important than the program itself. Program hoppers never win, they’re always looking for the next shiny object. You need to 100% belief the path you’re on is the right one otherwise you’ll never get anywhere with training. 3. Its all about the long-term. I market 6-week programs, why? It gets people to see what it's going to take to achieve long-term results. Can you change your life in 6-weeks? Probably not, but you can learn a lot about the process. People ask how to snatch 100+, clean 135+, squat 195+ etc. You do it for a long time, follow a program and don’t make excuses. There are no quick fixes in training. What have you learnt about strength training in the last 6-months?
