It’s crazy how our bodies work. How sensitive it is. Hit a new low yesterday morning. BUT since I barely drink water yesterday. Fuel intake was literally shit lol. I didn’t consume what (enough) I was supposed to. Woke up this morning feeling and looking bloated. Water retention is no joke y’all. . . . . Though I feel grateful and so happy for my progress thus far. I still find myself holding onto things that aren’t in my control.

Les joies de pouvoir récolter ses propres légumes. 🥰 Pas facile avec la canicule 🥵 mes petites plantations 🌱 en on bien souffert. Surtout les maïs 🌽. 😞 Mais heureusement, certains on survécu et même s’il ne sont pas super grand, le goût est bien présent. 😊 Je l’ai est simplement fait cuir au four, nature peinture. ( Pas de beurre SII oblige.) Mais pour être franche j’aime le maïs 🌽 comme cela. Le plus simplement possible. Le jardinage, c’est une drôle d’aventure surtout quand on est novice comme moi. Another workout In the books. Didn’t feel like it much today, but just reminded myself that it’s only 30 minutes! Today I tapped the Nike Training Center (NTC) app. Check it out, it’s free! Did the 15 minute Full Body Ignition work out, followed by @fiveparksyoga 15 minute flow on YouTube. No equipment needed for these! I skipped the one minute stretch during the NTC workout since I was moving right on to the yoga flow. Total time: 29 minutes and change. I love to include yoga in my workouts- it is amazing for upper body strength. WHAT 100 CALORIES LOOKS LIKE. We’ve all been there when we’re routing for a snack. And if you’re trying to lose weight, then you may be conscious of the calories. 100 calories for a snack isn’t going to kill you. So aiming for that can be a good rule of thumb for snacking. However, some foods at 100 calories just don’t cut it. For instance, eating 3 Brazil nuts would just not last. I’d sooner go for 200g of blueberries. But, here’s some rough ideas of what 100 calories looks like! 100 calories: - 3 brazil nuts - 14 almonds - 4 carrots - 3-4 slices of ham - 60g of avocado - 300g broccoli - 1 scoop of protein whey - 1 big ass egg - 1 even bigger apple - 25-30 grapes - 200g blueberries - small bag of popcorn - 1 tsp peanut butter - 1/2 a protein bar - 1/2 pint of Guinness If it’s weight loss you’re looking for, then you want to get the best combination of satiety and enjoyment for the lowest calories. So work with, try a few things.

This is a combo movement I came up with about 15 years ago (someone probably has done it before, I have no idea) that combines a side lateral raise with external rotation of the arm. The side lateral raise primarily works the medial and anterior deltoid (side and front shoulder) as well as the traps and supraspinatus. The external rotators of the shoulder work the external rotator cuff muscles the infraspinatus, supraspinatus and teres minor. I like this movement as it kills 2 birds with one stone. The only downside is the shoulders can start fatigue out before the external rotators because they are getting fatigued isometrically by holding the upper arm up throughout the movement. Did you know that your body relies heavily on protein to help prevent sickness AND to help you get over being sick by creating new cells while building and repairing your body tissue? ✨4 YEARS✨ I made the biggest move of my life, thus far, 4 years ago. . I moved away from the comfort of a small town. A town of less than 600 people, where I knew everyone & vise versa. Moving to NYC was a dream of mine since I was 14, and 6 years later, it became my reality. . I was so excited, but freaking terrified at the same time. I literally knew NO ONE when I moved here, & the hardest part of it all was moving away from @eaeppli & banking on the hope that we could make the long-distance thing work until we figured out what was next for us. But hey, fast forward to today, & we live here together, & we’re married!👫💃🏻 . This city has given me so much...the amount of opportunity here truly is endless. I moved here mostly for school & modeling, which like anything else, had their good & bad days. I earned my bachelor’s degree, booked lots of modeling gigs, walked in 4 seasons of NYFW, experienced how amazing & glamorous the modeling industry can be, & went through some of the darkest days of my life within the industry, too. . This city truly can make or break you, if you let it. It forced me to grow up REAL quick, & gave me the backbone I needed. . It’s here that I began my career in fitness & nutrition, where I landed my first fitness job, & earned my nutrition certification.🤸🏻‍♀️ . If I hadn’t moved out here 4 years ago, & let the intimidation of a new place and people hold me back, there’s no chance I’d be the person I am today. This place molded me & has blessed me with the opportunity to pursue my passion & live out what seemed like a dream growing up. . I love my work (some may say even a little too much, hah) and I am SO incredibly grateful to this city for making me earn that gift, making me learn how to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, & work my ass off every day.✨ .
