Anyone else accompanied by a baby monitor when they workout? We all have challenges and things that could make easy excuses not to work out. My excuse COULD BE that I’m an introverted mama and I NEED nap time to recharge(aka Netflix and chill).... and that is exactly what I used to do. Now, the monitor comes with me and I workout during the one time I get to myself during the day. Why? Because I want to be the best person I can be for my family. I like to train with a well rounded athletic mentality, probably because of my high school soccer and track experience. For me, I feel like I don’t want to be strong, but not be able to run and chase my kids or not be able to complete a 5k. Endurance to me is just as important as strength. Today I tested my mile time. In the beginning of my weight training journey about a year ago, I completed a 30 day running challenge through our local mommy group (@not_just_a_mom_movement), where we had to walk/jog/run a mile every day for 30 days. It had to be outside of your regular everyday steps. An intentional mile where you took the time for yourself. (I challenge all of you to try it, it was so rewarding!!) But I think my best timed treadmill mile was around 7:10 after the 30 days! Today, I ran a timed mile for the first time in forever and did it in 6:26! Going to def keep trying to improve it, but still so proud of myself! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ oh, I also did shoulders and abs πŸ€‘πŸ‘ŒπŸ» . (Note: yes the pic says 6:31...it took me 5 seconds to take out my phone camera lol) at Suffolk County, New York

We all STRUGGLE For me with this lifestyle it’s always been about eating a shit ton of food to put size on. I don’t have a huge appetite along with stomach issues and whenever I miss a meal or two, I drop weight like no other. I can eat twice as much as someone and still be a lot smaller.
