We had to be in downtown Kissimmee yesterday morning & we stumbled upon such a cute coffee shop! ☕️It seemed to be run by a couple who really take pride in their business. The husband was busy making everyone's coffee, while the wife was busy taking care of tables and customers, cleaning the counter tops & sweeping the floor, all with a smile! I often post on here saying things like you can do whatever you want, to be kind, promoting self love, saying you should be positive, you should work hard, be consistent, be patient. - This is my instagram and I want it to be a positive space. I don't just google a quote and post it or post something for the fun of it. Everything I write in my captions literally comes from my heart. I feel passionate about it. I want to push myself to be kind, self loving and accepting, to be happy, to reach my true potential, to truly embrace my life. - By putting myself out here on social media I am opening myself to 'haters', to people speaking smack about me and posting about me etc. and it's unfortunate that thats how it is, but it is and I'm aware of that. - But I just want people to know that my posts are genuine, I mean everything I say and I'm not perfect. I'm just trying to be the best person I can be and trying to be a better person everyday. Coconut oil vs olive oil #Repost @fitnesskorner (@get_repost) ・・・ regram @ryanwoodtraining ❤️But is coconut oil really healthier than olive oil? - 👀When we look closely at the nutrition info and research we can see that coconut oil has been 'hyped' up as being something that's super good for us. - 🥄Per tablespoon, the calories and fat content are nearly identical in both coconut oil and olive oil. - 👉Now I'm not saying you shouldn't eat coconut oil, as I use it to cook with from time to time, but you can't eat unlimited quantities without eating too many calories. - 💥Calories in coconut oil can add up quick, just like any other primary fat source, so it's important to watch your intake. - 📚Research suggests limiting saturated fat intake to around 10% of your total intake because saturated fat has been linked to heart disease. This doesn't mean you have to completely avoid coconut oil or saturated fats, just that you probably shouldn't eat them in unlimited amounts. - 🗝So which one is healthier? I wouldn't necessarily consider one 'healthier' than the other but I would suggest following the research and consuming both in quantities that fit your individual diet needs. Current Physique update. Was up 12 pounds after a couple of days of free for all 🎂🍰🍩🍭🍔🍽and now I'm back on the reverse diet. Currently up 6 pounds from Stage weight after the win at NPC Oklahoma Heartland Classic. The "off- season" is the most important part of any prep hands down in my opinion. It's also the hardest. Knowing you don't have to be super lean makes it easy to over indulge or not follow your coaches plan. You have to have discipline in this sport. Thank you to @peterg_npcnationalifbbprojudge & @garyudit for putting on a phenomenal show, especially for the #naturalathlete . It's so streamlined!!!(y'all...I was home from finals at 7pm and live about an hour away 👌) Also, thank you, Peter, for the feedback and noticing my progress from when you saw me last 🙏 * * * Well, folks--Lots of emotions today and this prep in general. Yeah, I was gunning for a qualification to Nationals in November so I had a bit of a pity party after prejudging. My heart was SO set on making it 👉BUT I flipped my thinking around and started focusing on the positive. I am humbled because I didn't think I even placed after I went from the outside, to the center, back to the outside in first callout. List of some of the many positives of this show's outcome-- First, I now get to focus on my family a bit more. Prep takes a LOT of energy and focus and things can become unbalanced. It's a selfish sport & I've technically been 'in prep' since around March. Second, I'm now qualified for 4 of the Pro Qualifiers next season!!! 🙌👊 Third, I know what my weaknesses are and already established a game plan with my #TeamProPhysique coach @paulrevelia before leaving the venue parking lot of this competition. #goaldigger ✌️ In summary, the game plan is: refeed for the week, have untracked meals/date nights with the hubs, cut back on cardio, train like a beast and come in🔥🔥🔥 for the 2018 season. Probably provide more insight later, but now it's time for a small treat. I'll enjoy my meal out when @akschu86 gets home from shift tomorrow 😊💚 Who, btw, deserves some hardware 🏆 if his own for putting up with me being on prep this long! Butternut squash noodles, roasted veggies and grilled chicken. My voice still keeps coming and going. I am so breathless it is stupid. ❤️ This is for those dang hunger pangs we sometimes experience❤️ Here are some food volumising coming at you loud & clear ❤️ - 💥By far some of my fav tracks on how to minimise hunger by adding volume to your food. Wether your dieting for health reasons, to look better naked or a bit of both making smart food choices can really be the difference between trotting round the planet with your tummy yelling at you or just making a dull murmur. - 🏆From a mindset point of view many people like myself find small portions a "jolly sad state of affairs "& well it has the effect of leaving you feeling unsatisfied after you've eaten. If you don't feel satisfied then 100 percent all your going to do is focus on food 🥘 which lets face it is not a healthy or productive state of mind - 👩🏼‍💼Also if you get "hangry" your judgement is clouded so making good decisions becomes a lot harder so keeping how hungry you feel under control in my view is very important. - 👌🏻Working adequate protein & an abundance of veg into your diet is really the best thing you can do, course including fats is important too for overall health but remember when you aren't going get a lot of volume from fat in terms of calories.( some folks thrive on a high fat diet so don't mind the smaller portions but for me not so much). - 🦁For most healthy peeps a modest varied fat intake in amongst an overall balanced intake & adequate protein probably works best but as always it's really about finding what works best for you. For fat loss the ratio of carbs & fats isn't important it's your overall intake that's the key. - 💁🏼The tricks I've shown you here are by far some of my sneakiest ways I keep my plate looking full & a great big smile on my face. ☝️Give them try hope you love them as much as me. No workout for me this morning 😐Not usual for me, and I honestly dont like it one bit. 😞 Yesterday, I grabbed something to eat without glancing at the label..something I have eaten in the past, yes. But its been years...never even thought it might bother me! It was....a chickenless chicken patty. Ingredients: Wheat, soy, milk, eggs. Had I read the label I would've steered clear. I don't do milk. I RARELY eat grains. And apparently my body had a strong disliking for soy as well.Spent my evening in and out of the restroom, in serious discomfort and looking majorly bloated! Not cool body, not cool at all.😩 👉👉👉Sooo, listen to your body. Be aware of how your food is making you feel. If you get symptoms like these your body is telling you something...it doesnt like what youre putting into it.Try eliminating what you suspect is bothering you and note if the symptoms go away.We are all different, so you just have to listen to your body. Food is supposed to fuel you, make you feel good, give you what you need to perform and live in optimal condition. Not make you feel like crap. It seems like just yesterday I was complaining I didn’t have a @KrispyKreme in Baltimore (it was 3 days ago.) Well, speak of the Devil. Turns out one JUST opened in Owings Mills, and yesterday I dropped in. It only seemed right as I’m running my first marathon today, which I haven’t trained properly for, rested properly for, or eaten properly for. Finally the weekend! Even though I work like many other people, I still like to take things a little more chilled than a usual weekday, I like to slow things down a bit and not rush around like a routined ocd freak 😂 Anyways last nights bowl had some dim lighting as it’s dark by about 5pm now so natural lighting just isn’t going to happen! We have @alpro go on topped with @womensbest chocolate truffle, chocapic duo cereal, @barebells.uk Strawberry white chocolate balls, @goodgrain_uk puffed wheat, fruit and the quality @proteinpantry snickerdoodle bar which is still definitely in my top 3. I just love that handmade texture and thickness 👌🏼 I wish everyone a quality weekend, rest well, lift heavy, do something different and have fun!
