Loaded Chicken Taco soup 👌 . I have been wanting Mexican for a while now so I decided to make this Loaded Taco soup last night and I’m glad I did! . Made in the slow cooker I just threw in chicken thighs, broth, black beans, spices, veggies, salsa, jalapeños and tomatoes and let it cook for 6 hours. Once done I shredded the chicken, topped it with avocado, sour cream and these amazing @tiopablonz spicy corn chips and dinner was served. Delicious and full of goodness with a nice balance of protein and healthy fats. ✨ . These sacks of skin and bone. The holder of our soul. No thing could ever know how to house a fiery, magic, and wild human spirit and yet our physical body tries its best. But we've turned the playground into a prison. We've placed structures and rules around an organism that craves freedom. And every day we turn against our biggest supporter or berate it for letting us down. Again. The body never let you down. You just stopped listening. There is no perfect way for the human spirit to be held by a body. We must desire to feel the opposite, knowing the best we can do is listen and heal. Over and over again. The spirit is endless. The body finite. Not enemies. Comrades. And when the two come together. You know what it feels like to be human.

We get to do this thing called life together. For so much of my life I felt like I was struggling in silence with my body image issues. Do you have a hard time looking in the mirror? Do you count every calorie? Step on the scale in fear daily? Are you tired yet? ...I was. I picked on myself and it was never enough. I compared myself to every woman around me and on social media and it hurt. I became addicted to burning enough calories before I ate anything and moved my body out of fear. You don’t have to do struggle in silence anymore. I get it... judgment free. I’ll stand by your side and guide you to the woman you truly love. Fear is the quickest path to stop you from what you truly desire. Our busy Brains have been conditioned to go in the direction of fear and failure rather than trust and truth. Why? Because fear begins in the brain and truth lives in the body. So the next time you find fear trying to creep up where it doesn’t belong ask yourself which fear mantra you are going to take. Slow down, breath, and then ask yourself. The body will tell you if it’s something you need to actually be fearful for, or if you are simply resisting the rise.

It’s a choice. To care. A choice. I don’t give a fuck is cute. But it is not brave. It’s a lesson. That heartbreak. A lesson. Learn it now or await repetition. It’s a mirror. This world. A mirror. Meet the devil, invite them in. What can you teach me? It’s a riot. This life. A fucking riot. Throw out perfect. Throw out should. What do you want? It’s a wound. That pain. Just a wound. Don’t turn away. Watch yourself bleed. Heal all the way. It’s a game. This life. Just a game. I don’t know how to win. But if you did, how would you play? You’re a creator. Friend. A creator. Destroy the rules that keep you safe. Imagine if … Am I there yet? Hello? Am I there yet? No there. Just here. Stay a while.

Holiday time can be quite the emotional trigger for some around food and eating. For some it triggers a “who cares” attitude where they just eat and drink everything in sight with little disregard for health. For others it triggers more of a restrictive attitude where you move food miserably around your plate at social occasions while watching everyone else tucking in. . Maybe it’s stressful family relationships that makes you want to drink all the wine or eat all the pavlova, or the feeling of being judged or even worse, judging yourself. . Whatever the trigger is, this is not what Christmas time should be about. These stressful thoughts and feelings do nothing but activate your sympathetic nervous system, which can result in digestive distress, reduced calorie burning and increased fat storage. . Christmas should be about relaxation, time with family and friends, holidays, enjoying the scorched almonds without guilt, and maximising your downtime to recharge after a busy year. . The love that I have for this human cannot be expressed in a time, or a mile or a smile... it’s simply indescribable. The FEELING of honesty, love, acceptance, and truth goes beyond word, photo and honestly what others think they see/feel. When you show up as your PUREST self, you become irresistible to your soul mate. If you haven’t found love and lightness in your 2019... ask yourself “how will I give love & lightness to MYSELF in 2020?!” It’s my experience that when I give myself what I deserve and desire, life continues to serve and respond to my calling. I love my job, I love what I do, I love the fact that I can help people overcome food and body challenges they have been dealing with for years, sometimes decades. However I also realise that I need to love myself too and to do that requires self care. ✨ . There has been a lot going on in my world of late, and taking the time to listen to my body is so critical to my overall functionality and happiness. I see you sweetie. There was a time where I suffered silently behind my smile. I couldn’t show up fully to the life that I desired because I refused to feel fully.
