Hi 👋🏼 For anyone new here, I thought I’d introduce myself again. ➡️ I’m Mariah, AKA Mama Peach. . . ✨My wellness journey began about 7 years ago when I was at the peak of my digestive struggles. I was put on medication for my acid reflux, anxiety, and depression. A little voice inside my head told me, there had to be a better way. . . ✨I started doing my research, and found a wonderful doctor who explained to me my many food sensitivities. Never once did I think the root of all my issues was FOOD. . . ✨ I’ll admit I was devastated when I found out I had to completely change my lifestyle. AUBERGINE - Aan tafel met Charlie 👩‍🍳! Check dit heerlijke recept voor vanavond! Ingrediënten voor 1 persoon: - 1 aubergine - 70 gram tomatenpuree - 1/2 el Italiaanse kruiden - peper en zout naar smaak - 5 cherry tomaatjes - 1/2 bol mozzarella - 4 groene olijven - 2 el Parmezaanse kaas Optioneel verse tijm Zo maak je het: 1. Verwarm de oven voor op 200 graden 2. Was de aubergine en snij door de helft, kerf het vruchtvlees in, leg de aubergines in een ovenschaal. ( Om te zorgen dat de aubergines recht blijven liggen snij je de bolle kant van de aubergines af aan de onderkant) 3. Meng de tomatenpuree en Italiaanse kruiden in een kom en smeer dit op de aubergines, schuif voor 15 minuten de oven in Ondertussen snij je de cherry tomaatjes in plakjes, de olijven halveer je en ook de mozzarella snij je in plakjes 4. Wanneer de 15 minuten om zijn haal je de aubergines uit de oven en leg je de mozzarella, de tomaatjes, de Parmezaanse kaas, de verse tijm en de olijven er bovenop. 5. Zet dit weer voor 15 minuten in de oven.

It shows that we're taking away something good. Like your mom's homemade brownies.⁣🍫⁣ ⁣⁣ When we focus on the brownies that are taken away we start wanting that shit realllll bad.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Focus on filling your day with lean sources of protein, carbs, and fats. Not the bland, boring, often disgusting foods that you otherwise would never eat on a "diet."⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Focus on healthy foods that YOU enjoy and serve your goals of losing fat or gaining muscle.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 2️⃣ Eat to SATISFY.⁣ 😋⁣ ⁣⁣ Control portion sizes in a more gentle fashion so you can treat yourself with more kindness.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Instead of depriving yourself from those tasty homemade baked gods, just have one per day.⁣🍪⁣ ⁣⁣ 3️⃣ DIG DEEP.⁣ 😳⁣ ⁣⁣ Self awareness on the way you eat and the way you think about food is WAY more important than changing what you're eating.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Change your beliefs about food and develop a healthy relationship with it.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ In the end it's about WHAT you eat. Happy Thursday! . When it gets cold, as it tends to this time of year, does anyone else just want to lay in bed and never leave? I know I definitely feel like that some days. When it’s freezing out and I get back from class or the gym, I sometimes struggle to find motivation to do anything else for the rest of the day. However, this is less than ideal for both mental and physical health. It’s the days where you have zero motivation that it is most important to get up and get moving. It is definitely difficult to do, sometimes, but once you take the first few steps in the right direction, it is much easier. . Today’s fit kid task is to get up and move. It doesn’t have to be much. Even just a ten minute walk can make a world up difference in how you feel mental and physically. Who knows? Maybe that will be the turning point of your day and kickstart the motivation to get s*** done! . Side note, I’ve decided to start online health and fitness coaching! VOLERE È POTERE! Non vale sono nel fitness e nel bodybuilding, ma nella vita! Quante volte l'abbiamo sentito dire?!? Suona bene a dirlo, ma metterlo in pratica è un'altra storia! È facile dire: - non ci riesco ; - non ho tempo; - non è per me; - mollo tutto. È difficile: - studiare al mattino presto in concomitanza con altre tipologie di studio; - rimanere domeniche intere in casa per svolgere la programmazione rinunciando a buona parte della vita privata; - preparare gli esami nonostante gli innumerevoli impegni e gli allenamenti. E poi sento spesso dire: "eh ma io non ho tempo per allenarmi e per fare la dieta, lavoro, studio!" Ma ne siete proprio convinti?!? Mi rivedo sempre nel mio motto nelle difficoltà, durante le salite: "la determinazione se è sincera può travolgere qualsiasi avversario!" Ma soprattutto: FAI QUELLO CHE TI FA SENTIRE VIVO CON ESTREMA PASSIONE! Vietato dire: NON CE LA FACCIO! Vietato dire: NON HO TEMPO! Vietato TROVARE SCUSE! In quel caso manca la volontà, il volano della vita, come qualcuno disse! Devo dire doverosamente grazie ai miei atleti, alle mie atlete e alle persone che mi vogliono davvero bene, per la continua presenza e il supporto morale che mi danno alle mie sedute d'esame. Non è da poco, perché circondarsi di persone positive è uno dei pochi segreti della vita e fa la differenza! Oggi il coach ha vinto: un bel 30 pieno, che nonostante gli impegni è arrivato, per cui vale doppio! Le scuse le ho lasciate a casa, come quando mi reco in palestra. Physical changes are amazing but they aren't everything, at least not for me anymore. . . My journey used to be super surface level. . I wanted to weigh 115lbs, I wanted to be "toned", I wanted to have abs, I wanted to look like a gym barbie, I wanted to be a size 2. These were my top goals. . I wanted all of these things, I decided I needed to achieve them. And I did. I achieved every single one of them. . And once I did, guess what? This is something that most people NEVER talk about. I still wasn't happy. You might be reading and thinking, she must be freaking crazy, she achieved everything she wanted and still wasn't happy? . You read that right, I still wasn't happy. . I wasn't happy because it was all surface level, I thought the scale number would make me happy, it didn't. I thought the abs would for sure make me feel flawless ,they didn't. And the barbie look- honestly who was I kidding? . All these surface levels goals were never what I actually wanted. I had to sit myself down and ask myself what it was that I truly wanted? What did I want to feel? What kind of life did I want to live? . My answers: I want to feel healthy and full of life. I don't want to feel like I am on a diet just to look good. I want to have freedom around food. I want to eat whatever I want without guilt. I want to buy the sexy black dress I have been eyeing all winter. I want to have sex with the lights on and have no shame. And most importantly for the first time in my life I want to just be happy inside and out. . . Surface level goals are what get us started but they don't keep us going. We must find our true reasons for wanting to change. Our true WHY. . . As I said physical changes are amazing, but there is so much more for you then just changing your physical appearance and your scale weight. What if you could change your life? . Here's your permission to dream bigger, crave more, expect more. Pro -oats anyone?! 🙋🏻‍♀️ This is a morning staple in our household. We call them “Maddie oats” because she asks for it every day. Great for busy people whether in the morning or for a quick snack mid day. You could store these ingredients in an office drawer 🙌🏼 Fantastic for busy moms- I don’t even have to think... I pour, microwave and add the powder. We then “jazz it up” with things like cinnamon, cut banana, blueberries... you can get creative! We use @pescience Plant based powders. Best tasting one we have come across, good quality and variety of flavors to add variety to meals and snacks! Just adjust the amounts to fit your needs. Little Madison gets a 1/4 scoop. Rushed to the office in the a.m? You can make it and take it! Easier to eat than an omelette in the car, that’s for sure. Ein Gericht, dass nur so vor Lebenskraft strotzt: ✨ Feldsalat mit Kürbis, Kartoffeln, Sonnenblumenkernen und Sesamen. * * 2 Handvoll Feldsalat 2 Kartoffel 1/4 Hokkaido-Kürbis 1 TL Sonnenblumenkerne 1/2 TL Sesamen 1 EL Rapsöl, 1 TL Leinöl Gewürze: Kümmel, Ingwer, Koriander, Salz, Kurkuma, Chili * * 💥 Kartoffel schälen, Kürbis entkernen und beides in Spalten schneiden. In eine Schüssel mit 1 EL Rapsöl geben. Mit Kümmel, Salz, Kurkuma und Chili würzen. Für etwa 15 min. bei 180 Grad in Backofen oder für 20 min. in die Heissluftfriteuse (siehe letztes Bild) => meine neueste Errungenschaft und sehr empfehlenswert. * * 💥 In der Zwischenzeit den Feldsalat putzen. Mit dem Leinöl, den trockengerösteten Sonnenblumenkernen und Gewürzen wie Ingwer, Salz und Koriander vermengen. * * 🔊By the way => interessanter WISSENSHAPPEN nicht nur für die Yogis unter uns. Qualche post fa, avevo parlato dell'allenamento in gravidanza di @_erics_ ma ora che sono passati 3 mesi dalla nascita del nostro Giacomo come ci stiamo comportando? Passati i classici 40 giorni post parto dove i medici consigliano di evitare qualsiasi sforzo abbiamo ripreso gli allenamenti, il nostro amato cardio, delle belle passeggiate, lunghe e rilassanti che ci aiutano ad aumentare il dispendio calorico ma soprattutto ci piacciono. Ovviamente non può mancare l'allenamento con i sovraccarichi, una o due volte la settimana, dove il lavoro è impostato principalmente sullo sviluppo della forza. Utilizziamo esercizi multiarticolari che vanno a stimolare grosse catene muscolari con lo scopo di aumentare la performance, l'ipertrofia e stimolare il sistema nervoso e ormonale. 🙌 Thankful Thursday 🙌 . On the third last Thursday of the year, let’s get a little reflective... . Hey 2018! 👋 . I’ve been blessed by the people around me this year (as always). There was a time where I didn’t value my family, friends and colleagues quite as much as I do now (thank you maturity and life for that revelation! 😝) . I’ve realised, for me, life starts with people. I don’t want to live a self-focused life just thinking about myself (how miserable that would be!). . My happiest moments have been when my eyes are on others, sharing and connecting. . This year has been a transition, in more ways than one; as I’m sure has been the case for most of you too! . I started the year living in a different suburb, in a relationship.. andddd in a different job. (Wow, when it’s summarised like that..! 🤪) . Is anyone else getting a little reflective right now? 💭 . I’m thankful for the transitions and for the people who made the journey a smoother and much more fun one. . I also realised this year that I couldn’t “do it all”. I still had a bit of that illusion left in me 🙄 . I stopped doing so much. I started slowing down a bit more. I embraced where I was at. I got real with some emotions and acknowledged them. Learn to embrace, not repress, and channel your emotions. Also referred to as “Emotional Control or Intelligence”. 🙌🏾 How many people do you know who are scared to do something for fear of being hurt or sad? 🤔 We as human beings have a multitude of emotions. When we express our emotions we hand them over to the outside world, where we hope they’ll be noticed, honored, and transformed. 🤗 When we repress our emotions, we hand them off to the inner world, where we hope they’ll disappear, transform themselves, or maybe return at a better time. 😩 Repression is the only internal emotional management skill most of us have. Emotional repression relies on the unconscious, interior world (and often on our bodies) to accept and do something with our emotions. 😩 When we repress an unwelcome emotion (like sadness or anger), we press it inward and think happy thoughts. We don’t know what to do with the inconvenient, embarrassing, or dangerous feeling. 🙁 We just want to wipe the slate clean and go on with our day. The problem with repression is that the inner world is where emotions come from. Shoving the emotions, these messages from our instinctive selves, back where they came from – without consciously processing them – creates an unpleasant short circuit in your energy, psyche, and biology. And uhem, pizza is the MOST comforting ♥️ • Instead of telling that little voice to shut the heck up or completely splurge every weekend, here are 5 tips for healthifying your favorite comfort food recipe: • 🍏 Lots of processed, canned, or premade ingredients? Search how to make a simple from scratch version on your own. 🥗 Not enough green? I dare you to give me a recipe I can’t add some greens to. You can sneak spinach, kale, or some sort of leafy greens into just about anything. 🥦 Excessive amounts of added or refined sugar? Switch it out for organic honey or maple syrup. 🥝 Ingredients you typically deprive yourself of because they’re “unhealthy”? (I call these “treats”—bacon, cheese, biscuits, bread, red meat) Increase your quality, decrease the quanity. 🥑 Think the calories are too high? Fat free, sugar free, low calorie, or zero calorie foods are FAKE. • Here’s a secret: REAL FOOD HAS CALORIES. Do you allow your social media presence to define your self worth? . One of the biggest identity crisis’s I faced over the last year was my social identity, specifically in the online space! 🤓 . Social media has MANY benefits however one of the biggest downsides is linking the amount of followers and likes to your self worth . Our social identity is our sense of who we are based on a groups membership (aka, the inter web). And this identity often conflicts with our REAL one (ie, the person who exists behind the online account). . As our social media accounts keep growing the amount of the ‘likes’ and ‘followers’ begin to play a HUGE role in our identity. We tend to feel the pressure and more and more of being liked and accepted in the online space- pretty detrimental to our mental health right? . I’ve been down this path, but I want to you remind you 2 things: . ☝🏽Your social media presence does not define who you are. Just because your likes and followers may be less than than some thy does not mean you do not provide value to others lives. You are still amazing, loved and incredible. . ✌🏽 Some of the largest accounts still don’t know how to generate an income or create a greater impact (ie, smoke & mirrors).
