"I tried hiding ______ in a different cupboard and I felt like crap when I went straight for it anyways…"⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I remember a few years ago feeling exactly like this! Wishing I could ignore the PB 🥜 tub in the other cupboard or that I could have more willpower around it.⁣😔 ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Seriously, it was an issue. I would stand at the cupboard, with or without a spoon 🙈, start to eat pb until I felt sick to my stomach. I couldn't stop. I didn't know what was going on.⁣🤷🏻‍♀️⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Obviously eating that amount of PB never made me feel good, at ALL. Physically, emotionally and mentally – I would beat myself up about it and my gut would be angry all night.✖️⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ So why did I do this to myself? Why couldn’t I just stop at having a spoonful and enjoy it – rather than feeling like it was punishment⁉️⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ It wasn’t until I learnt about PHYSICAL restriction that I realized how powerful its effect truly was – and that’s what was causing my loss of control around by beloved PB.⁣😳⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Physical Restriction is when you go out of your way to not be around or not allowing yourself to eat a certain type of food.⁣🙅🏻‍♀️⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Examples of physical restriction are: ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✖️ not buying PB (or real pb… 🙄) ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✖️ not allowing yourself to be able to see it, aka hiding it ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ✖️ not being able to eat it whenever you want, only on weekends or on specific foods.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ There’s something odd that happened when we started to stop physically restricting ourselves. Allowing ourselves to buy it when we want it, or to eat it whenever it sounds good to us…⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 🏆 We start to want it less.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 🏆 We don’t overeat when we do eat it.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ 🏆 We don't feel guilty!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Finally, we can have a spoonful of pb and not lose control. Not let it make us feel like crap and feel happier about it too!⁣😍⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ If you want to feel FREE around pb (or insert ANY food you've hidden before) then hit the link in my bio to apply for 1:1 coaching!!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ I have a few spots open to start in April!! Let's get you feeling free and confident around food!! ❤❤

You know how when you were a kid and someone told you not to do something and for some reason that made you want to do the very thing you were told not to? ⠀ The same philosophy applies to eating. As soon as you are told you can’t eat certain foods your brain starts focusing on those foods. This is the reason why #dietsdontwork! 🙅🏼‍♀️❌ ⠀ Forget diet culture and know that you CAN trust your body to tell you what it needs! 🙌🏻✨ . . . . . . . . . . #registereddietitian #dietitianapproved #healthyeatinghabits #dietitiansofinstagram #foodfreedom #healthylifestyle #balancednotclean #balanceddiet #nondietapproach #nondiet #healthyliving #healthylivingjourney #balancedlife #dietitian #wellness #foodpsychology #nutritionadvice #intuitiveeating #flexibleeating #fuelyourbody #feedyourbody #allfoodsfits #ditchthediet #nutritiontips #antidietculture #mindfuleating #bodyimage #bodypositive #therightbitenutrition

It makes sense that if you restrict your intake you will be physically hungry, but another form of restriction is mentally deeming foods as bad (whether you continue to eat them or not). This leads to mental hunger. Mental hunger is your brains drive for foods you have put off limits.⠀ ⠀ You can feed yourself and meet your needs and still be restricting. If you deem a food as bad, whether you eat it or not, your brain thinks this may be the last time you will get to eat it. The brain thinks that at any minute it can be taken away again. This may send you into all or nothing eating behaviors, you will likely feel out of control with this food, over eat these foods and/or experience guilt and shame. ⠀ ⠀ Unconditional permission to eat ALL foods is a very important part of this journey. ⠀ ⠀ Check out my ebook, #thefoodfreedomguide by clicking the link in my bio.⠀ ⠀ #dallasnutritionalcounseling #dallasnutrition #dallasrd #dietitian #registereddietitian #caseybonanord #recovery #edrecovery #edwarrior #nutrition #healthylifestyle #healthyeating #balancednotclean #balanceddiet #nourish #eatingdisordersrecovery #foodfreedom #nondiet #nondietapproach #intuitiveeating #intuitive #effyourdiet #effdietculture #nutritionadvice #foodpsychology

Sorry, but I won’t do you dirty like that. ⠀ ⠀ Even if you REALLY want me to.⠀ ⠀ Sure, It’s WAY easier for me to help you lose weight using restriction, calorie counting, cutting out of entire food groups.⠀ ⠀ Black and white restrictions are actually VERY easy to follow.⠀ ⠀ And sure, you probably will get better short term results using restriction.⠀ ⠀ Seriously, starving yourself in the short term⠀ Is an excellent way to lose weight VERY temporarily. ⠀ ⠀ But long term? ⠀ ⠀ I PROMISE YOU- NO ONE WOULD SEVERELY RESTRICT THEMSELVES IF THEY TRULY UNDERSTOOD THE LONG TERM IMPLICATIONS.⠀ ⠀ See, I DO know the long term implications. So I won’t let you diet in the short term. I’m ethically bound to guide you to the right way, and severe restriction is the wrong way. The costs outweigh the benefits. ⠀ ⠀ I couldn’t live with myself if I let you live a life in fear of carbohydrates, slowly gaining weight back with every bite you took, avoiding social gatherings because you don’t want to eat in front of people, and being a slave to someone else’s diet.⠀ ⠀ I refuse to recommend my clients harm themselves. ⠀ ⠀ Even if it made me more money in the short term. (Which it would) ⠀ ⠀ Because, guess what?! IM GOING TO BE THERE IN THE LONG TERM! I see my clients for months, even years! And I’ve seen the disastrous effects of restriction and dieting. And I REFUSE to RECOMMEND my clients go⠀ Through that. ⠀ ⠀ So, seriously, if you are looking for a quick fix, it doesn’t come without consequence.⠀ ⠀ And I’m not going to sit around and watch you suffer the consequences of a risk you didn’t know you were taking.⠀ ⠀ Love you,⠀ Michelle ⠀ ⠀ #foodguilt #foodshame #dietculture #foodfreedom #bodypositive #bodypositivity #diet #guilt #weightloss #weightlossjourney #transformationtuesday #intuitiveeating #mindfuleating #psychologyofeating #foodpsychology #dietfails #innerpeace #mindfulness #rd #nycnutritionist #nycdietitian #dietitian #mindset #naturopath #bodypositivity #dieting #restriction

It is very common to label foods “good” or “bad”, to associate a feeling to certain foods, to build them up as the enemy. However in reality, foods aren’t good or bad. They are just food. There is no moral value attached - other than what you choose to attach to it. Rather than giving food a label, why not think of it in terms of dosage? Eg one donut every so often is enjoyable, eating donuts daily won’t make me feel good…another words, THE DOSE MAKES THE POISON. Rather than fearing food, welcome it in moderation. No food is off limits for me and because I give myself permission to try all food, the desire to overeat it disappears. Give yourself permission💫 . . . #thedosemakesthepoison foodandbodycoach #mindbody #mindbodyeatingcoach #healthy #intuitiveeatingjourney #mindfulness #eatingpsychologycoach #weightloss #healthyeating #nourishment #foodpsychology #mindbodyeating #psychologyofeating #bodywisdom #listentoyourbody #nourishingwisdom #nutritionalwisdom #intuitiveeating #mindfuleating #consciouseating #emotionaleating #overeating #naturalweightloss #healthcoaching #mindfuleating

Aloe vera juice is jam-packed with nutrients. Drinking it is an excellent way to make sure you don’t become deficient. It contains important vitamins and minerals like vitamins B, C, E, and folic acid. Peanut Butter Energy Balls 💫 . Anyone need some energy? I know a number of you are feeling de-motivated at the moment and finding it hard to find the energy to get off the couch. I get it, however it is really important to do some kind of movement you enjoy everyday while we are in lockdown. This will help to overcome lack of motivation and keep spirits up. Why not try these energy balls as a pre/post exercise snack - tasty, delicious bite sized bursts of energy, just what you need to get off the couch 👍 . Ingredients: 1 cup (130g) pitted dates 3/4 cup (40g) ground almonds 1/2 cup (40g) desiccated coconut 2 tbsp. chia seeds 1 tbsp. coconut oil 1 tbsp. peanut butter . Method: 1. Place all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender and blitz into a paste. 3. Form walnut-sized balls by pressing the paste together with your hands. Place in the fridge for a few hours so that they become more solid. 4. You can keep them in the fridge or freezer. . . . #blissballs #energybites #postworkout #foodandbodycoach #mindbody #mindbodyeatingcoach #healthy #intuitiveeatingjourney #mindfulness #eatingpsychologycoach #weightloss #healthyeating #nourishment #foodpsychology #mindbodyeating #psychologyofeating #bodywisdom #listentoyourbody #nourishingwisdom #nutritionalwisdom #intuitiveeating #mindfuleating #consciouseating #emotionaleating #overeating #naturalweightloss

There may not be a lot that you feel like you can control right now in your life, especially when it comes to the food you’re able to get your hands on. One thing you can control? Your PERCEPTION of that food before you eat it. Pleasure is one of the most powerful metabolizers in the body. Seeing a food in a positive way can automatically improve your body’s digestive abilities whereas seeing a food in a negative light can actually inhibit your body from absorbing as many nutrients and digesting it as easily. How will you incorporate pleasure in your next meal?

Day 19 - from an ex-binge eater

1

A few years ago, food was ALL I could think about. I was in this constant back and forth about what I “should” or “shouldn’t” be eating - always worried about making the "right" choice and feeling guilty/anxious when i felt like i didn’t. I tried everything to feel better and nothing worked. But deep down, I knew there had to be a better way so I went on a mission to figure out exactly how to eat what I want, enjoy it without anxiety or guilt and move on with my freaking life. I did tons of research and was constantly experimenting to figure out what worked and what didn’t. And what I realized was that what i wasn’t eating wasn’t the problem, it was my thoughts and beliefs about what i was eating. And once I learned how my brain worked and hardwired the RIGHT mindset, everything changed. It’s so easy for me to choose what to eat now and I feel completely confident and at peace around food. And I have infinitely more mental space and time for the things i really care about like my goals, relationships and family! Because this was sooo life changing for me, i was like "OMG i need every woman in the world to know how to do this." So that’s why I became a certified health coach and now it’s literally my purpose to help you overcome your struggles with food too. If you want to STOP worrying about food all the time and get your life back, then MESSAGE ME to sign up for my FREE workshop April 8th! #foodfreedom #foodfreedomforever #allfoodsfit #dietitianapproved #intuitiveeating #eatwhatyouwant #intuitiveliving #eattolive #balanceddiet #acceptyourself #bodyimage #foodforfuel #fuelyourbody #nourishnotpunish #confidenceboost #bekindtoyourbody #bekindtoyourmind #motivationforlife #intuitiveeating #mindfuleating #emotionaleating #foodpsychology #nourishingwisdom #eatingpsychology #bodywisdom #healthcoaching #consciouseating #nutritionalwisdom #disorderedeating #psychologyofeating

Where my stress eaters at?!🙋🏻‍♀️ . “Stress eating” is an understatement for what I used to do. 😱 . During periods of my life when I dealt with (what seemed like) life threatening issues...ya know, similar to what we’re seeing TODAY #covid ...I would reach for the cookies🍪 Not just 1 or 2. An entire JUMBO PACK from the bakery. . I would cry in my car and eat the entire package. 😢 . Maybe I just had a fight with my Bf or mom. Maybe a school or work project seemed unmanageable. Maybe I had a week of frustrating, shitty workouts (yup, real talk) regardless, I didn’t know how to handle or cope with the pressure, so I ate...and ate and ate and ate... . UNTIL☝🏼 . The literal, physical pressure I felt in my stomach and organs was all my brain could focus on.👀 . I used food to 👀distract🧠 I used food to numb out 👤 ...and it “worked” temporarily . BUT I was never fixing the true, underlying stuff going on in my heart and in my soul. 🙏🏻I wasn’t healing the hurt. 😢 . That’s just how my brain learned to cope. Sometimes, it was alcohol, but 90% of the time, it was food. . It wasn’t until I got freakin EXHAUSTED of the endless treading and getting nowhere...repeated (negative) results in my relationships, work, body, and life...I started becoming curious about what was really going on...🧐🧐🧐 . I learned more about food, the mind-body connection, and how food affects our mood. I learned how to eat to perform better, focus better, and feel better, AND I learned how to no longer use it as my “out” when I was uncomfortable/frustrated/anxious in a situation. . I chose sources of MEDICINE and NOURISHMENT rather than poison and numbness. . Food and workouts were the beginning for me. Then, I discovered meditation! It was a holistic trifecta of balance and happiness! ✨🌈✨ . Yes, it took time, effort, and determination to learn, practice, and implement, but DAMN am I happy I decided to NOURISH rather than NUMB.🙌🏻🙏🏻 . . . #holistichealth #foodismedicine #numb #stressrelief #stresseating #overeating #quarantine #quarentinelife #selflove #quotestoliveby #weightlossjourney #bodyimage #nourishyourself #mindbodyconnection #mindbodymedicine #foodpsychology

Food is so symbolic, it isn't only how we nurture our bodies to survive, it is also a way to bond with others. This is why it is very useful to drink or eat something while we discuss certain topics with people, want to get to know them, have meetings or social interactions. ⁣ ⁣ Some situations which we anticipate will be tense or complicated can be eased by tea, coffee or a snack. Of course it is only a small boost to communication, but it works by lowering tensions, calming anxiety, helping us breathe, pause and think before we talk on many occasions. It is also a good excuse to be able to tolerate awkward silences or pauses without raising anxiety levels. ⁣ ⁣ Evaluate how an interaction should be and decide whether bringing food in the mix could ease communication or perhaps could be an obstacle (some topics require our full concentration and zero distractions). ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #psychology #foodpsychology #butfirstcoffee #communicationtips #psychologyonline #onlinetherapy #mentalhealth #relationshipwithfood #foodadvice #teatime #therapy #anxiety #foodandhealth#psychologytricks

Guess what?! Even as a qualified DIETITIAN I still struggled eating all the things... 😬 Until I discovered THIS...⠀ ⠀ I’ve always felt drawn to food. No matter how hard I tried to resist, I would eat just because it was there, it looked good, or I was feeling bored. Or stressed. Or any feeling really 🤷‍♀️⠀ ⠀ - It left me feeling sluggish and unhappy⠀ - It consumed my time and energy⠀ - It sabotaged my healthy habits⠀ ⠀ I made me feel powerless against food and like there was something wrong with me...⠀ ⠀ It’s probably why I went and got a Masters degree in nutrition. But hey-ho, it didn’t solve my problem!⠀ ⠀ Because all the nutrition knowledge and diets in the world isn’t enough to HEAL your RELATIONSHIP with food.⠀ ⠀ ❌ I was still fighting food ❌⠀ ⠀ Until, accidentally, I landed my dream job at a prestigious health behaviour research centre in London, and discovered:⠀ ⠀ 🥁 Drumroll...⠀ ⠀ The PSYCHOLOGY of food, eating and behaviour!⠀ ⠀ It opened up a whole new world to me:⠀ ⠀ 💫 Food psychology helped me discover WHY I was struggling so much and HOW I could start to manage the desire to eat.⠀ ⠀ 💫 It gave me back calm, confidence and control around food. ⠀ ⠀ 💫 I learnt how to have fun again without guilt and without the sabotage.⠀ ⠀ 💫 I learnt how to be me, but without the food crazy.⠀ ⠀ And it made all the difference. Stress can affect eating behaviours in a number of ways, which is why you might find yourself overeating/binging, or perhaps experiencing a loss of appetite. Both might be a concern to you if you have a fear of gaining weight or losing too much weight, so let’s talk about it!⠀ ⠀ ⬇️Why Stress Makes You Lose Your Appetite:⠀ ⠀ Stress causes you to release more cortisol which causes the body to go into “fight or flight” mode (a primitive survival mechanism). Digestion shuts down because it’s not priority when you’re "fighting for your life” (which your body believes you are when it’s stressed). The sensation of hunger dissipates and may be replaced with nausea, tense muscles or knots in the stomach AKA loss of appetite. ⠀ ⠀ ⬆️Why Stress Makes You Eat More:⠀ ⠀ Most of us weren’t taught to sit with uncomfortable emotions, but instead, to ward them away as soon as they hit; usually with food, since it’s the fastest acting way to experience relief from the uncomfortable emotion – but it’s always temporary. And if you overate or engaged in binge eating, you’re probably being met with guilt/shame and might be feeling the need to restrict or reduce your intake, which can be a trigger for binge eating.⠀ ⠀ 💫 How To Resolve Both and Regulate Your Eating:⠀ ⠀ 1.Identify your stressors – A pandemic (and everything that comes with it) might be the obvious stressor at hand, but what are your stressors exactly? List them out. Then ask yourself, which ones can you control and which ones are out of your control. ⠀ ⠀ 2.Implement strategies to keep stress low - Deep breathing (especially before meals), breathwork (@jlmansell’s workshops are BOMB), join a #QuarantineDanceParty (link in bio), limit your time on social media, don’t watch the news, scream, play music⠀ 3.Honour where you’re at – If you notice you’re eating more or less than usual, be gentle with yourself and recognize you’re going through a lot. If you’ve lost your appetite, consider sticking to simple, mild flavours like broth, soup, smoothies, rice, oatmeal and toast. ⠀ ⠀ Does this kind of information help? Let me know what other things you are struggling with in the way of food & body. I’d love to help you! ⠀

Hmm...how about just trying it? For a while? And see how it goes. No rules! Btw, only opinion I really stand for is that sugar sould be eaten in moderation. What do you think?

The negative talk and guilt that comes from your brain can be enough to do a lot more damage than the food you've just eaten. . Own that SH*T. . You made a conscious adult decision to indulge and it was great while it lasted. . Now You're one meal off of being back on the healthy track! . #youranadult #food #foodpsychology #eating #treats #cheatmeal #ownit

If you are emotionally eating due to the uncertainty, stress and pressure of what COVID-19 means, you aren’t alone. This strategy makes perfect sense as a coping mechanism. Emotional eating is natural, in born and perfectly human. We eat with emotion which is amazing, we eat and celebrate, we eat and feel loved, connected, relaxed, excited, sad, lonely, scared, or anxious. We are programmed from infancy to use food to regulate our emotional and physical experience. Eg as babies we cry, and we get fed. 🍼 .
It is fear of emotions that is the root cause of emotional eating, not the emotions themselves. We turn to food to stop emotions from surfacing or to avoid feeling those emotions. Emotional eating creates a major distraction and bypasses the rawness of what we have to face. Eating helps to numb the pain but if you don’t allow yourself to experience your own feelings/emotions, you can’t move through them and past them. They linger as they want to be heard. Trust your instincts and intuition. The first step to help manage emotional eating is to embrace it. Pay attention when you feel the need to drown your feelings in food. Ask yourself - what’s triggering this? What needs to be noticed? Is this helping me? How do I want to feel? What could I do instead? Don’t judge, be kind, no self abuse needed. . . . #foodandbodycoach #mindbody #mindbodyeatingcoach #healthy #intuitiveeatingjourney #mindfulness #eatingpsychologycoach #weightloss #healthyeating #nourishment #foodpsychology #mindbodyeating #psychologyofeating #bodywisdom #listentoyourbody #nourishingwisdom #nutritionalwisdom #intuitiveeating #mindfuleating #consciouseating #emotionaleating #overeating #naturalweightloss #healthcoaching #mindfuleating

Often when you experience a craving, you will experience a strong visual image of the food you are craving, which increases the difficulty associated with resisting the craving. One method that works for some is to do participate in an activity that is visually immersive. For instance, a find-a word puzzle or colouring, requires you to concentrate on what is visually in front of you rather than the imagery your brain is calling forth. #craving #food #foodpsychology #healthhack #nutritionist #foodbehaviour

Do you talk to your food? What’s your relationship with food like?🍕🍫🍭🍟⬇️⬇️ . Did you know food psychology is actually a field of study? 🧠 . The language you use around food can actually influence your thoughts about yourself and what you put into your mouth!! . 🤔Do you say things like... ‘I’ve been bad today’ ‘Today was a cheat day’ ‘Why did I eat that?’ ‘I’m going to get fat’ ‘That’s a BAD food’ ‘I’ve already eaten too much today, so I’m not going to have dinner’ . 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼 Instead try saying... ‘My body needed to indulge today’ ‘I am allowed to treat myself through the week when I feel like it’ ‘That didn’t make me feel too good afterwards. In the future I will remember this and make good choices based on what makes me feel good!’ ‘A treat here and there is not going to sabotage my efforts but I am going to try and fuel myself with nutrient dense foods high in vitamins and minerals in between’ ‘That’s a sometimes food’ ‘I’m going to have dinner full of vegetables and nutrients so that I don’t wake up hungry and continue unhealthy habits tomorrow - starving myself is not the way to move forward’ . Have you ever thought about your food thoughts? What do you say about food?✨🤷🏽‍♀️

Why complain about eating extra when you can just enjoy it instead?? ☺️😋🍰🍰⁣⁣ ⁣ ⁣We're human; we're built to eat food when it's around, our weight is meant to fluctuate, and we're supposed to have a survivor belt sometimes😉⁣⁣ ⁣ The more we make food a "shouldn't" the more it turns into a guilt - eat - repeat cycle..and then, oh hello disordered eating and even more negative conditioning! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So, if you overeat, try to remember, it's not a big deal! It’s NOT the food you eat, that’s the problem! While #selfquarantining , I have been reflecting regularly on all I have to be grateful for. While I work away in my home office, I am so keenly aware of the many people who are the frontline workers keeping our 🌏 afloat. You are my heroes. I am feeling so grateful for our frontline hospital workers 🚑, grocery store employees 🛒, farmers 👨🏼‍🌾, delivery drivers 🚚, restaurant workers 👨🏻‍🍳, police 🚓 and firefighters 👩‍🚒, teachers 👨🏽‍🏫, bank tellers 🏦, mail carriers 💌, airline support ✈️, those keeping our yards and neighborhoods safe and beautiful 🌱🌷, generous friends 💃, virtual performers 🎸, fitness/yoga teachers streaming online 🧘🏻‍♀️, and all of your positive and creative 💗 attitudes and ideas that continue to inspire me. Now’s the time to stand strong together as one and support each other more than ever. To love and cherish each other like never before. To give what we can to those who need help, a simple favor or an act of kindness. Time to Chug a pint, people!!⠀ ⠀ Jokes apart, the times when your body needs the water the most are before you sleep and right after you wake up. It's best to have at least 500ml (2 glasses, or one Pint, whatever you prefer) of water at both those times. ⠀ ⠀ Implement hack water hack and watch your life improve.⠀ Cheers!!

Calories reign supreme.. + but the effect foods has on your behavior, especially when it comes to how you act is just as important. + If you eat a meal and want to nap after every single time you eat, that’s something to pay attention to. . Paying attention to the cues can make a big difference in the foods you choose to eat on a daily basis, and actually make wanting to be more active more likely. . Finding myself. 🙈🙉 It is not like ED is to blame for all my life problems. 💩 But it sure was my coping method. 👀 It allowed me to concentrate on solely existing. Eating. Being as I was, the way I looked. 🍝 I used it to cope with reality, because the world turned up to be a lot shittier than what I imagined it will be before I started with EDs. 😑 I started to behave strange around food at the age of 12. Little by little it took more and more of my life. 🎳 But I remember I used to be CRAZY about books. After years of bulimia it was hard for me to find the concentration to finish an non obligated novel. 📚 I am clean since this summer. 💪 And I am reinventing. Creating myself. ☝️ Finally have the time for it. .. And I remembered... I used to be such a passionate reader. ... I have always been me, but this time I am and will be a much stronger and sensible version. To myself and to others. ED wasn't my friend. But it has teached me things about myself.

Today is a tough one, but you gotta do it if you're serious about fitness⠀ ⠀ Sugar is by far the worst thing you can consume for your body. But I don't want to go on a rant about sugar, cause I'm sure you must have already heard enough of that.⠀ ⠀ Rather, use this time at home to come up with creative ways of avoiding sugar. For example:⠀ 1) Replace biscuits with dates, and dried figs⠀ 2) Swap sugary cereals with soaked oats in milk⠀ 3) Have roti instead of bread⠀ 4) Eat fresh fruits rather than processed juices⠀ ⠀ Take this as a challenge, and make a good change for your body. Make sure your body benefits from the amount of time you have been given while staying at home.

“Life Changing” Bread . I’m posting this recipe again in the hope we can all experience something life changing today 😊 Ok don’t expect anything too massive however this is a really good recipe to make while you’re stuck at home. 🌈 . It uses Psyllium Husk and water to bind it together which is fantastic for healthy digestion. I love the fact that it is full of nuts and seeds ( #healthyfats) that can be swapped with any you have on hand. Even better, there are very few dishes to clean up as you mix it in the loaf pan itself - genius. 🌟 It’s jam packed with goodness and goes great with sweet or savoury toppings. . Give it a go and let me know if your life changed in any way 😊 . Ingredients: 1C sunflower seeds 1/2C fax seeds 1/2C hazelnuts or almonds 1 1/2C rolled oats - I used Gluten Free. Could sub for nut flour 2 TBSP. Chia seeds 4 TBSP psyllium seed husks 1 tsp. Sea salt 1 TBSP maple syrup 3 TBSP coconut oil or ghee, melted 1 1/2C water . Method: 1. In a loaf pan, combine all dry ingredients. 2. Whisk maple syrup, oil and water together in a separate bowl. 3. Add wet mixture to dry ingredients and combine until everything is completely soaked and dough becomes very thick, adding 1-2 teaspoons of water if dough is too thick to stir. 4. Smooth top and let sit at room temperature for at least 2 hours or overnight. 5. Preheat over to 180C or 350F. 6. Bake bread for 20 minutes, then remove bread from loaf pan, place it upside down, directly on rack and bake for another 30-40 minutes (it should sound hollow when tapped. 7. Let cool completely before slicing. 8. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Enjoy 😋 . . . #lifechangingbread #healthyfood #homemade #balanceddiet #tastyfood #eatingpsychology #mindfuleating #nutrition #foodandbodycoach #intuitiveeating #eatingpsychologycoach #weightloss #healthyeating #nourishment #foodpsychology
