Taking time off from training is giving me time to review a few things, and one of those is confidence with big lifts 😅 — @victoriacharlotte_fitness made a great point about mentality dictating the weights that you lift, rather than your actual capabilities 🤷‍♂️ if you look at the second image, the bar gets more than high enough for me to drop under it 🤨 but I didn’t believe I could so I didn’t 🙈 — It took me a long time to break the 100kg mark and a few of these things helped me out when progressing 😎 — 1️⃣ Do the related lifts - knowing that I could front squat more than 100kg for reps gave me the confidence to know that if I dropped underneath it then I could get it up 🕺 — 2️⃣ Not hanging around on the bar - take time in your set up to go through the cues you need to hit, but once you get to the bar don’t psyche yourself out by overthinking it 😓 — 3️⃣ Don’t think about how heavy it is - the main reason I missed this lift is because I told myself “holy shit, 105kg is heavy as hell” 😂 I told myself I wasn’t going to lift it before I even set up for it 🤔 With the 100kg PR I didn’t give myself a choice, I knew I was lifting it and I did 😎 at Market Harborough

Firstly - #BadAbi - I shouldn’t be deadlifting 💁🏼‍♀️(I mobilised for 45 minutes - does that make it less bad?!?!🙈) . You can laugh at how long it takes me to put straps on. I left it all in there so everyone could see how bad I am at it 😂 . 120kg (76%) 2 x 4 - this was my drop down from my SHITTY 2 x 3 at 130kg I shared yesterday. Basically I watched my 130kg back and went NOPE, THAT LOOKS SHITE. DROP THE WEIGHT😡 . My aim wasn’t to rep out as many as I could with this weight, but frankly just to feel it on the bar and keep it fun☺️ . В руки отлично лягут гири, гантели, бутылки с водой, папки с документами, пакеты, камни и тд😉 3-5 кругов: Трастеры – 10 Приседания/Становая тяга – 10 Поочередная тяга к поясу – 10, каждая рука Отдых 60-90с и повторяем круг. Упражнения внутри круга одно за другим без отдыха. НЕ БРОСАЕМ ВЕС! So yesterday’s ramble was about taking action regardless of the timing because ultimately that stars aligning moment is that of films, fairy tails and love stories. But what happens when you do TAKE ACTION, what next? Well there’s a few ways to go about the what next. I believe in planning, in having something to refer to, that’s across the board in life. I use white boards for things I need to see daily, I use A4 diaries for my day to day planning, I have systems by which if I stick to I know I will head in the right direction. I learnt these over years of coaching by other people, reading, listening, paying attention to success, finding people who are where I want to be... success leaves clues as they say. What’s be easiest way to save for something? Here’s my way of doing it. Say I have a holiday I need to save for that costs £2000 and it’s a year away. I then break it down into the smallest useable data I can. 2000/12 months £166/month Then down into weeks 166/4 so £41 per week... Now I now that 1 session I provide each week needs to go in a pot ( or a saving account) for the year. Now I have a plan I can a) do it or b) forget about it but at least now I know what I need to do in order to get my goal. It’s the same as fitness, health, weight loss, strength, skill acquisition. Apart from the savings account or the pot is a mental storage unit, one that you can’t necessarily SEE. It would be like you putting money in the savings account but not being able to see the total or the accumulated wealth. You just have to trust that as you pay the man, it’s getting bigger without you ever knowing how much is in there. So just like the money you need to set the goal. It’s a long term thing. The result goal. Now you break that down into chunks of time. Now the actions that need to happen in order for you to hit that target. So instead of the delivering of a PT session it could be frequency of gym visits. Then... you continue to take action. You’ve been through the door before, you know what to expect... now you just keep turning up. Just like that bank account the wealth grows, the knowledge grows. The fitness and health grows... but guess what.... at Priority 6

Everyone meet Wyatt. Wyatt is one of my favorite clients. You wouldn’t know if you looked at him but Wyatt lives with autism. I’ve met a lot of families along the way who have kids with autism. I have a special place in my heart for kids like Wyatt. He wears his green headphones all the time and barely takes them off. Recently he has been coming into the gym and removing them as he works out and for Wyatt, that’s a pretty big deal. After working out with Wyatt, I had the idea that some of his classmates and friends might benefit from not only the physical activity but also a different environment. I would love to develop a class for kids who live with autism. Although I don’t have an official certification, it’s something that I’m passionate about and would like to move forward with. I want all incredible kids like Wyatt to feel happy and comfortable while doing something that benefits their health.
