Oggi era composta da pancake di chufa, fatti con farina di cocco,1 uovo e 1 banana ormai matura, accompagnati da fette di patata dolce. La patata dolce contiene meno anti nutrienti (solanina) rispetto alla patata bianca ed è più ricca in fibra. Easy peasy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀ INGREDIENTS 4 cups apple juice (no sugar added!) 5 cinnamon sticks 4 cloves (whole) 4 cardamom pods (whole) 2 Chinese star anise 1-inch piece of fresh ginger ½ teaspoon fresh lemon zest ½ orange, thinly sliced ⠀⠀⠀⠀ DIRECTIONS -Add 4 cups fresh apple juice to medium-sized saucepan. -Add cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, anise, ginger and lemon zest. -Cover and heat on low-medium heat for 20 minutes. The mixture doesn't need to boil. Just get it warm, up to around 170F or so. -Add orange slices during the last 5 minutes. -Remove from heat and strain to remove spices and fruits. -Serve warm or over ice.

it’s been hot as heck here in hawaii and i’ve loved every bit of this extended summer honeymoon but i can’t lie, fall is my favourite season and i’m excited to get back to sweater weather and fall inspired drinks and dishes. i’ve been drooling over all of the delicious pumpkin recipes on my feed for the past two weeks and i can’t wait to finally get back in my kitchen and whip them up. two that i’ve had my eye on making are @joyoushealth pumpkin spice cake and @rachelmmolenda grainless pumpkin mac + cheese - both of which i’ll be making asap! in the meantime, here is one of my own favourite pumpkin recipes that i’ll be enjoying tomorrow morning when i’m back in the cooler toronto temps 🍂 . ||pumpkin spice latte|| + 1 cup nut milk of choice, heated to almost a boil ( i use @earthsowncanada ) + 1 tsp @nutpods pumpkin spice creamer (optional, just add a touch more pumpkin spice if omitting) + 1/2 cup water, boiled + 2 heaping spoonfuls (really heaping!!) @farmersmarketfoods pumpkin purée + 1/4 tsp @365bywholefoods pumpkin pie spice + 1/2 tbsp @dandyblend + 1 date, pitted + 1 scoop @sprooslife marine collagen . blend all ingredients, except for collagen, in the blender for 1-2 minutes. add in collagen at the very end and blend in for a few more seconds until very frothy. pour into a giant mug, sip, and enjoy! . note: you can also use collagen peptides in this recipe in place of marine collagen. the former is sourced from cattle and the latter is sourced from fish. i prefer using marine collagen because it has been shown to have a greater impact on skin health due to its high bio-availability 👍🏻 . #sprooslife #marinecollagen #collagen #psl #pumpkinspicelatte #falldrinks #cozy

The standard American diet is chalked full of added sugar & salt. For instance did you know the avg. American eats 82 grams (19.5 teaspoons) of sugar/day. The Bone Brewhouse bone broth adds a new layer of flavour to this butternut squash soup. Not to mention it instantly transforms the soup into a nutrient dense powerhouse deliciousness! Chop a small to medium butternut squash into 1 inch cubes and toss into a large pot. Add Bone Brewhouse Traditional bone broth, and water till the butternut squash is covered. Salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil and cook until the squash is soft. Use an immersion blender or a potato masher to fully puree the squash. Add seasonings: fresh thyme, green onion, optional diced carrots, potatoes or dumplings. And simmer for another 30 minutes. It’s as simple as that. Typically, I put some leftover soup into containers for lunch right away, to make the morning that much easier. This bone broth butternut squash soup is a simple dish with tons of flavor! Salad soup for lunch today 😙 My thermos is too small to keep anything in except coffee or some broth so I brought all these veggies, some quinoa and a lil bit of turkey in a container and bone broth I made yesterday in my smol thermos and poured it on my salad.. I recommend!! . Getting into the habit of making and bringing my lunch to school and work has saved my butt because when I don’t have my lunch with me I usually go for bagels or pizza then can’t concentrate that well because there’s no nutrients in there 👀also I’m usually still hungry after 🙃 .
