What is Visual Coordination Training ? In the same way that an athlete improves sports performance by training the body for strength and endurance, visual skills can be improved and enhanced through a wide range of conditioning techniques. The following below are some of the aspects that are worked upon : 1. Peripheral Awareness - Allows perception of whats going on at either side of you without turning your head. 2. Dynamic visual acuity - enables sustained and clear focus on objects when they are moving quickly. 3. Depth perception - provides spatial judgements, such as how far away an object or person is. 4. PRIORITIES. I ask people constantly why they don’t work out to benefit themselves and a reoccurring theme is they “don’t have time”. Well I call bullshit on all that. “I don’t have time” is basically saying “I won’t make time” because it “isn’t a priority”. People will binge watch 3 episodes of a new show on Netflix and stay up until midnight but they can’t contribute a limited 30 minutes per day to better themselves. So whenever you tell me you “don’t have time”, I’m going to call you out and hopefully change your perspective a bit. If you want to make time you will, otherwise you will continue to make the same excuses and stay the same. Move To Improve: Working on those needs to get those wants is important as a health professional to enable your clients to truly make progress long term. Here my client in the 1st video is doing seated single arm face pulls to strengthen the muscles around the upper spine. Using just one arm adds more stability and mobility challenges around that region and being seated avoids excessive movement of the hips so the force is better transferred through the core to the upper spine. In the 2nd video my client is working internal/external rotation of the hips. Holding the medicine ball better roots the pelvis into the ground making for better form when rotating from side to side which increases the mobility in the hips.This also requires good core and spine stability linking in well with the hip work. Intergrating exercises for your clients needs is easily done with good programming. Helping your clients to move better will enable them to reach their goals while improving all round. 🏋🏻‍♂️ MOVIMENTI FONDAMENTALI del CROSSFIT 🏋️‍♀️ Il Push Jerk, è un movimento derivante dal mondo della Pesistica Olimpica ed è parte dei 9 Movimenti Fondamentali del CrossFit.😉 Tra tutte le spinte “OverHead” è sicuramente la più complicata dal punto di vista tecnico, in quanto richiede un'ottima sincronizzazione tra apertura dell'anca e spinta di spalle.💪🏻 Per quanto possa essere impegnativo affinare questa tecnica, una volta appresa correttamente, sarà il gesto più economico ed efficiente quando i carichi da sollevare “sopra le testa” diventeranno elevati. 🔝 La posizione di base e il “Dip and Drive” sono identici a quelli del “Push Press”. Il movimento si complica subito dopo l'estensione delle caviglie, anche e ginocchia e la spinta del bilanciere sopra la testa. Una volta che il bilanciere inizierà a staccarsi dalle spalle, le braccia lo guideranno sopra la testa in posizione di “OverHead”, mentre le caviglie , le anche e le ginocchia eseguiranno un secondo “Dip” per permettere al corpo di riposizionarsi sotto il bilanciere, ritrovandosi così in “Power Position”, ovvero la posizione di caricamento per eseguire un salto verticale. Iedereen heeft een druk leven mensen claimen dat ze het 'te druk' hebben voor een training. Naar mijn mening is dit een gedachte. Ik zou het zelfs een excuus willen noemen. Succesvolle ondernemers hebben het ook druk en werken ook gewoon aan hun gezondheid. Voorbeeld: toen Obama nog president was was een training onderdeel van zijn dag. Als een man in die functie het lukt om een training in te plannen in zijn schema krijg jij het ook vast voor elkaar. Het heeft te maken met mindset! Sta een uurtje eerder op. When applied to recreational sports, Functional Training focuses on the person’s basic movement pattern. These approaches are not new but get lost over the years between the transition from child to adult, and increasingly need to be specifically reactivated and maintained. These basic movements include rolling, crawling, supporting, pulling, pushing, jumping, bending, lifting, hanging, squatting, standing up, and turning movements. Ambitious amateur athletes are predominantly interested in exercises that specifically advance and/or make them faster in their chosen sport. For a long time, there was the deceptive belief that doing more continuous training in a sport also automatically ensured a better performance – and versatility primarily played off its strength in the background by preventing injury and only directly improved performance to a limited extent. It is unfortunately also not the case that when practicing a sport, you automatically improve all the joints, muscles and tendons involved if they are challenged. The first step is to ensure that you build up resilience by doing well-thought-out Functional Training. When it comes to your everyday training activities, you should therefore not only consider what you enjoy and therefore automatically do on a regular basis, but also, and most importantly, what you are neglecting but would actually be good for your sport and overall health. Try this… Replace one of your weekly training units with a versatile strength, coordination, flexibility and agility program of a similar length as your endurance training, Gymnastics for example. Think of it as a personal challenge. The ideal time to do it is at the end of a sports season and at the beginning of a transition phase. After this period, draw a conclusion as to how the changeover has affected your condition.
