Invisible disease...with some not so invisible medication. ⠀ ⠀ This is just under a weeks worth of tablets I am on. My local pharmacists know me on a first name basis & we regularly have a good chin wag on the phone when I place my weekly/fortnightly prescription order. ⠀ ⠀ So I’m currently on about 18 pills a day, which should go back down to 10 at some point with the infusions every 8 weeks.⠀ ⠀ And hopefully...one day, I’ll be medication free. Or I’ll have to consider the option to have surgery if we aren’t able to get things under control. ⠀ ⠀ But let’s not jump ahead of ourselves just yet. Sooo late post cos this was actually yesterday buttt still wanted to share as was mega happy... ___________________ Got another deadlift PB, this time of 80kg- did deads at the start of my workout this time to see if I could improve on my last sesh and managed to get another 5kg 💃 ..... then I did my heaviest hip thrusts of so far & thennnn even though it was leg day I thought I’d try throwing a pull up in there as was having such a decent sesh & I actually did my first ever unassisted wide grip pull up!!! 💪 _____________________ So frickin chuffed with myself. I honestly all think it’s down to @eminem blasting out through my Beats, I listen to his music every single leg day and always end up having a decent heavy sesh- he just makes me so pumped. I’m just determined to push myself even harder! 👊 I’m feeling so much stronger since giving up meat & my workouts have improved so much- can literally notice such a huge difference & I’m so happy 🙌 ____________________ Does anyone else have that one bit of music that gives them the best gym workouts? at England

Wow what a change 80.7kg to 68.6kg 🔹🔹🔹 "I started my journey with Shannon at the beginning of January 2018. I was just over a year into Crossfit and growing stronger but I knew I wasn't eating correctly to fuel the amount of training I was doing, At 5ft 11 I've always been able to hide my weight well and have yo-yo'd between feeling ok to feeling uncomfortable with my body. Mix this with trying to train, it wasn't a great combination. I just didn't know how to eat well. I came across Shannonsnutrition on Instagram and reading through her posts it became clear that the services she offered were simple, hands on and would give me what I needed. To relearn how to eat! I'm now nearing the end of 16 weeks of nutrition coaching, I now know what to eat to fuel me through the day, whether I'm training or not. The right foods to choose and, thanks to some great recipe ideas, some tasty sweet treats! Shannon is always there to provide support and give great advice, and being able to check in each week is invaluable to keep you on track. And if you do falter, it's not the end of the world, she'll just encourage you to get back on it the next day. I have lost a total of 15.5 inches, I am wearing small to medium clothes. I've knocked 50 seconds off my 5km time, I got my first toes to bar and strict chin up, I feel stronger and fitter than ever. I couldn't recommend Shannon enough her knowledge and that personal touch is definitely a winning combination. Thanks Shannon, I look forward to the next stage of the journey!"

☀️ How to stay in shape on holiday and not let it all go south is something I get asked a lot when traveling numerous times a year 👙 . I’ve picked up a few simple routines that have helped me keep my fitness and feel amazing whilst being away. There is nothing worse than that heavily bloated feeling when your spending your day half naked sun bathing right ladies ! . These 4 targets are all I focus on when I’m abroad that help me feel my best, keep consistent and still have an amazing time away. . 1- training first thing in the morning fasted. Now I know we all love our sleep when we are away but when you want to get a half decent workout in getting up to beat the heat and getting it done is the only way. It sets your day up and you can sleep sunbathing the remainder of the day (when it’s to hot to train!) . 2- intermittent fasting but not on a massive scale. Eating breakfast a little later (after you have trained) helps control daily calories a little more by reducing the time to consume your daily calories. I tend to eat breakfast around 10 or 11 am. Also eating a little later means I can reduce 5 meals to 4 slightly larger ones which is easily done away with the portion sizes on holiday! . 3- stay hydrated ! It’s so easy to become dehydrated quickly in the heat or training abroad. When it’s hot or we are a sleep more we tend to drink less. I always take electrolytes with me to make sure I’m hydrated and keep my muscles happy! . 4- make your life easier by being flexible with your nutrition and accept your can’t be perfect! . Staying in shape can be pretty easy where ever you are when you find a routine that fits what you are doing and your goals. . What did you workout today?! It was back day for me! I used to hate back day but now I've found some fun new exercises which I love 🙈🙈 . ALSO it has helped my waist appear so much smaller and has really toned up my back and also makes me look and feel so much stronger!💜 I work out my back only once a week and it has made such a difference. . Can anyone tell this is my favourite outfit at the moment 💁🏼☺️ Not going to lie but I fried my brain this morning and then spent the afternoon napping because I was so knackered 😂 but I’m up and out for my shoulder session this evening. I’m so glad I’m back into a solid training routine, I feel so much better for it, especially with a lot of things coming up like events and of course @bodypowerexpo that I want to feel fit and healthy for. I love the fact I now work out at home! I literally don't have any of those excuses anymore. It doesn't matter if it's dark and cold outside and I'm still in my pyjamas, on my own with the kids and I've only got 30 mins inbetween everything else I have to do - because that is all the time I need to just do my workout, get it done and move on with the day. Circuits ✌🏼 pretty much the only way I train these days and two days in the gym on the trot is pretty unheard of these days but it’s kinda nice 👍🏻 nothing heavy, fast or impact just slow controlled time under tension for 30 mins. A few tasty lunches we've been serving at @freshcolchester recently 😍 • Chicken and turkey are great sources of protein - they're lean (low fat) and pretty cheap. If you're eating it plain it can get boring pretty quick so don't be afraid to experiment with flavour! My training plan is changing soon in preparation for my Atlantic rowing challenge. . I’ll replace twice-a-day CrossFit style workouts with once-a-day heavier powerlifting weights and some shorter cardio workouts on the rowing machine. That means I’ll have more time available to do yoga. . I practise yoga every morning but only 3-5 rounds of sun salutation to wake me up. It’s not enough to make a real difference. . The powerlifting and punchier erg sessions will cause me to become quite stiff, so yoga will compliment them well. I’m going to start with @catmeffan ‘s 7-day Yoga Challenge - what a great excuse to spend virtual time with this glorious human 👯‍♀️
