✂️ Sunday check in✂️ . Finally - a week that I feel good about myself. Starting to see definition, starting to see the light at the end and also starting to enjoy it. It might have to do with being able to fit 🍕 into my macros! Felt good doing front squats for the first time in a while - maybe mixing up the training is what’s doing it? Plan is to carry on like this for the next week and see how we get along Also - front squats. Start light and work your way up. I balance the bar more on my arms rather than my collar bone as it hurts a lot. Work in depth rather than weight this can go wrong very quickly and it could really hurt if you aren’t careful! . . .

Today I’m starting a 24 hour fast. It is something I try to do routinely. It has endless benefits and some of my favorites are • Cleared skin Detox Energy Increase in metabolism Increased fat burn • When doing a 24 hour fast try to consume at least half your body weight in ounces of water. Hydrating with high PH water is best. It will fill you with electrolytes. This is my favorite water to enjoy during a fast.

Here's a transformation for you. (This is long so bear with me) The picture in the left was taken 3 years ago, I was skinny fat to say the least. I thought after two babies, that was the best body I could expect to have. Even though I had lost all the weight from my previous two pregnancies, I still felt soft and I was VERY far from confident. . . The year following that photo I got pregnant/grew my final tiny human. With him I had gestational diabetes...when he was about 5 weeks old I caught a glimpse of my tired self in the mirror, I no longer recognized myself...I realized how QUICKLY and easy it is to lose yourself when you have kids, especially 3 that are 3 and under...put every ounce of energy into them until there is absolutely nothing left for you. I felt horrible, I promised myself after I was cleared by my doctor I was going to start learning to lift weights and make time for myself. . . Two years ago today I was planning my first workout for the following day, I was scared, I was excited, and I was determined. May 21st 2016 I got my shit together mentally, something just clicked...It wasn't an option, I had to get healthy, mentally and physically for my kids and for ME. For the next 11 months I worked out at home 5-6 days a week consistently. April of last year I decided I really wanted to get stronger, I joined @freewillcrossfit and never looked back. Fast forward to today, I follow most of their programming at the box and at home with about 4 added powerlifting sessions each week. I am so excited to be training for my first powerlifting competition in July, and I can truly only see my love for the sport growing every day. It takes time and consistency to see changes. It takes a lot of patience. Just keep chugging, we are all works in progress... . . Mamma's, don't forget to fill your cup...it's important to take care of yourself so you can do better for your children.
