I honestly don’t have a long emotional motivational post today. All I got is this. Me. No filter. Being real. . This isn’t even me being bloated vs not bloated. Just a post from yesterday. So let’s talk ! About recovery! So the whole weekend I did not workout 1. Not because I didn’t want to but because your body needs time to recover. People do not beat yourself up because you’ve missed several days at the gym, there’s nothing wrong with that it’s good for your body! I came back to the gym today and crushed it! Why? Because I needed my body to be recovered. Why do we get short term hunger cravings? When we are bored, stressed, distracted, etc. our brain searches out things that make us feel better. This especially happens with food as we see it everywhere (TV ads, billboards, etc). When you're trying not to eat the awareness of food grows even more. The way to let the craving fade is to first recognize the discomfort. Be okay with the feeling of craving. Then distract yourself with something visual. Heute sowie am Ende der Woche werde ich mich abwiegen um zu zeigen, dass man auf NICHTS verzichten muss, und trotzdem sein Gewicht halten kann☺️ Anmerkung: Für viele von euch, ist das, was ich als „Experiment“ bezeichne, absolut NORMAL! Ihr denkt nicht mal darüber nach, was ihr esst und haltet euer Gewicht problemlos! In my four years of competing I can truly say my last show was one of the only shows where my smile was genuine. It wasn’t forced, I was truly beyond words on happy! Now, many you may be reading this and think, “if shes doing something she loves shouldn’t she smile and have genuine happiness?” The answer is yes! At the same time though I’m nervous, mentally and physically depleted and I just forget to smile. (Please comment if this is you too so I know I’m not the only one 😜) I’ve been wondering why this show I felt so different and so happy and I truly think it was the “zone” I was in that allowed me to feel deeply calm, and to be intensely focused. We all have that trigger that puts us in the zone and at some point we find it and once we light it up we just need to make sure it stays lit. Today was the very best I’ve felt in a very long time. I woke up early & kept my phone on airplane mode. I read on my couch, sipping coffee in silence. I spent the entire day with our daughter & it was so incredibly amazing. . See, half the time I am a balanced & very present mom. The other half, I am frantically trying to do all the things & wear all the hats at the same time. Thinking of ways to be more productive & more present, while overthinking in that moment 🙋🏼‍♀️ya know what I mean?! . So today, I worked from the living room floor & felt so satisfied & fulfilled knowing this is my happy place. I never knew this was something I wanted, I don’t even really know how to describe it all, I’m just so excited about life & so happy. Being playful & the best mom I know how to be, working my business & helping others, being a positive & supportive fiancé, eating well & pushing myself, it all has a positive compound affect that fills me with so much joy, I’m almost in tears.
