Looking forward to hopefully seeing some snow outside my windows next month. Last year on Christmas day I woke up, took a look outside my window, and the trees and path way were blanketed with fresh snow, my Christmas spirit went from 99 to 100 real quick 😂.

The use of a subject in my mind helps set the tone of a photo whether that be via feeling or mood. A lot of the time I use people in photos to give a sense of scale, scale helps put things into perspective! Yes we may just be tiny in the sphere of things but we sure can do and see some incredible things!

• ‘The journey will be challenging. The climb, tough. You will be tested. The winds will come at you, unrelenting. The snow will pelt down at you hard. Your body starts to fail. Your mind starts to question ... Conviction, determination and believe pushes you forward, one step at the time, to your final destination. To a place that rewards you with richness that is immeasurable. For what you have attained from going through it all is ‘Character’. • ••• •• • #adventure #artofvisuals #bestmountainartists #canadianrockies #discoverearth #explore #explorealberta #explorecanada #freedomthinkers #getoutside #greettheoutdoors #hikingadventures #ig_captures #keepitwild #landscape #lifeofadventure #livefolk #mountains #natgeotravel #optoutside #outside #abparks #tlpicks #moodnation

@tearintaren

today was a good day. and warm, for the first time since arriving. it didn’t last long, but while it was we got our climb on. I had to remind myself today to slow down. I found myself a bit anxious about getting on the wall before it got cold but then I asked myself “are you having fun? are you enjoying your day so far?” the answer was a resounding yes. I am somewhere incredible, with people I love, doing things I enjoy. and that’s good enough. that is the memory I wanna walk away with today. climbing is cool, but I can do that anywhere— it’s the people, and the time with them, in this place, that is most valuable to me right now. it’s sweet to realize that, and also to recognize that it won’t always be/doesn’t always have to be that way. some days climbing is the priority, and that’s okay too, but it wasn’t today for me and it felt good to acknowledge both options. slowing down and checking in with myself helped me refocus and the rest of the day was a blast! I hope today you found your flow. I hope you made space for moments, to appreciate everything. and I hope the same for tomorrow and every day after. cheers and goodnight, from way out here 😴 at Moab, Utah

It doesn’t feel like we’ve really had much of a fall in Minnesota this year. It’s been pretty chilly since the beginning of September, and we had snow off and on now for a couple of weeks. We got another good coat of snow today, but at least we had some pretty fall colors last month! 🍁🍂⠀ at Maplewood State Park

“Snow provokes responses that reach right back to childhood.” •••• When I was 7 years old, I left the East Coast and moved to San Diego. I didn’t really understand what that meant at the time; all I kept hearing was that it’ll be sunny… all the time. To be honest, that made me sad. I love the distinct qualities of the various seasons, and I loved playing in the snow as a kid. So, the day that my flight was leaving, I went outside, took an empty one of those plastic containers you get toys out of in the 25 cent machines, and scooped up some snow from my yard. In my 7 year old mind, that snow would stay in its form, and I could take it with me to San Diego where I would hold onto it forever and ever to always have a piece of my old home with me. Sadly, there’s this thing called science with rules detailing why this sunny SD weather would just not support my vision. When I got off the plane and checked on my little treasure, it was completely liquid. And I. was. heartbroken. I always think of that moment when I’m back in snow because it brings me back to being a kid, playing with my family and friends, and just embracing those priceless moments of freedom, innocence, and joy. I love San Diego, but a piece of my heart will always belong to the snow, and in Wyoming last weekend, I made sure to make the most of my time in it… like I did on this bridge - tilting my head back, sticking out my tongue, and tasting the snowflakes. . . . . #wyoming #winterwonderland #winterishere #snowday #snow #wintertime #whiteout #getoutside #travelling #travelholic #roamtheplanet #beautifuldestinations #seasons #beautifulplaces #hiker #hiking #adventuretime #adventurer #adventurethatislife #forest #snowy #wildernessculture #keepitwild #greettheoutdoors #sheexplores #dametraveler #girlswhotravel #radgirlslife #outsideculture #adventureculture at Wyoming, Wyoming

What a difference a week makes... T-shirt weather and fall colors surrounding you then, to trees mostly stripped of leaves, and weather stating it feels like 25 degrees outside with the wind. 😱❄️Bring on the onesies and the hot tea! at Tennessee

Much needed fresh air. The air quality in our area is very poor risking our health due to the Northern California fire that is still on going. They said it’s the worst fire in the history of the state. #optoutside at Emerald Bay State Park

I remember the night I met this gal. We were at a team happy hour the night before a massive group workout in MPLS. And as we met I remember already thinking, "we have nothing in common." I still get caught in my little judgy phases. And I could not have been more wrong!! Aside from our insane love for coffee (soul sister), we both shared the same heartfelt dream to help women who don't believe in themselves and who need a community to lean on - just like we did. We are both sweet, with some tough love sprinkled in there. We share a similar work mentality, we wear our hearts on our sleeves when we trust someone, we were born introverts created to lead, and we were both woman-haters. That's right - hardcore did not get along with or want to be around other women. And in turn I feel like we're both making up for lost time so when we find you?? Our people?? We freakin dive in and love on you hard with a fierce belief that if we can do anything? So can you. And I'm so so happy that as we bring more and more women into our community to change their lives and their health, that it's a safe place with ZERO judgment. #comeasyouare What we do isn't hard - it's hard work. And if you're out there looking for your community? Why not, and I quote Kelsey, come sit with us?! If you're looking to love on others, build up your own healthy mind & body, find your wellness community that helps you thrive, and work on your in home hustle, drop an emoji below or fill out the link in my bio! I'd love to chat with you about what I get to do as a coach!

In Jaipur, India Since the 15th century, elephants have been used as royal transportation. They carried the king of Rajasthan from the fort & around the kingdom. Although they are often used as work animals, the same as oxen or horses, they are viewed as sacred, holy animals in the Hindu culture, which has helped in protecting them. In Jaipur's historic Amber Fort they're adorned & painted to showcase them as royal animals (they wash the water based paint off daily). The same way they have been doing for the last 500 years... #RyanEricksonPhotography at India
