Its past 2 am and I am not getting any sleep. Wondering about how am I gona cope without the gym. And while I hate counting sheep when I dont get sleep my mind wanders into unknown realms. And i wonder what if I had a perfect body without working out or following a diet. And I realise I love my grind. Its so precious to me. I love waking up to a mission. I love the struggle of trying to reach goals. Adjusting my budgets for protein. Buying supplements. Pushing myself to drink water. Eating like a saint. I woudnt want it any different. Worked up to a heads up triple of 215kg for a PB. This was my old 1 rep max a few months ago. Then 2 sets of 3 200kg block pulls. ❗️❗️❗️The weights don’t count❗️❗️❗️ • Ever noticed that I rarely mention how much weight I’m lifting 🤔 • That’s down to two things: - Bodybuilding isn’t a competition of who can lift the most weight. It’s more so a competition between yourself. You Vs. Your will power - I don’t measure my success at the end of a workout by how much weight I managed to lift. I measure my success by how achy I am, how sore my muscles are, how much of a pump I have. At the end of the day they are what reflect how hard you’ve worked, not that you managed to press 0.5kg more than last week. • My point is, don’t obsess over whether you’re lifting more or less weight than last week. Even though weight can be a great numerical measurement of your progress, hence why I note down all of my exercises, don’t get hung up on it. There are numerous factors that are sometimes out of your hands that may change how much weight you can lift. All that counts at the end of the day is that you gave it your ALL and left EVERYTHING you have out there on the gym floor 💯 • Bit of Motivation for you and a good opportunity to remind you not too be too hard on yourself regarding the facts and figures of what you’re lifting. Well I thought it was funny..... • LEG DAY DONEEE ✅ Tried out a few new exercises because I am getting slightly bored of squatting using the smith machine, believe it or not 😅 I still used it for the first Superset tho 🍑I didddd: 1️⃣ (Superset) Close stance squats to Wide stance squat pluses 2️⃣(Superset) Single leg leg press (each leg) then to frog stance leg press 3️⃣(Superset) Hamstring Curls to RDL’s 4️⃣(Superset) Single leg hip thrusts (each leg) to normal hip thrusts 4️⃣ Cable Kick backs 5️⃣ Calf Raises Bloody love a leg day ❤️

THE TRUTH ABOUT WEIGHT LOSS # As I’m sure you know there are many different ways to losing weight. # One thing I hear a few people saying is their inability to lose weight. # The simple fact is they’re not in a deficit. # John, initially lost loadzzzz of weight. But it then stopped. # John thought he couldn’t lose anymore weigh *insert tears However, it wasn’t he couldn’t lose weight, it was he was no longer in a deficit. # This could be for a number of reasons but the most common is a lack of adherence. # When we lose weight our body adapts to the stress it has on it. # This reduces our metabolic weight. This doesn’t mean you can’t lose weight though! # It simply means you need to reduce energy intake or increase energy output more than you once did. # The harsh reality of it all is, if you’re not losing weight. You are not in a deficit! That is fact. # You might have yoyo dieted or completed endless amounts of cardio with little progress. Your metabolism probably needs to be ‘reset’. # Slowly increase calories (especially carbs), do this weekly, you may initially experience some body fat gain. This is just a phase you’ll need to go through. # Once weight gain stabilises maintain that food intake for a couple of weeks. Then create a small deficit and remain consistent. # This will more than likely have boosted your metabolism and upregulated your hormones so you can now drop body fat in a higher calorie deficit. # Don’t jump straight to this method though, as in my experience most weight loss plateaus are generally a result of an adherence issue. # Let me know if you're struggling with weight loss 👇 at Bondi Beach (strand)

Last week of high frequency hell is underway! Despite getting less than ideal rest last night, I ended up setting a #PR on my #dumbbell #benchpress. It felt good to throw those 125s around, and I ended up getting an unexpected extra rep 💪😎 I love going heavy at the start because I feel like all my #muscle fibers get fired up for the rest of the session. My #pecs and #delts were lit up for the rest of the #workout. You'll see me doing #reardelt flies in the last clip of this post. Although I love my pressing days, I've come to enjoy my pulling work even more. Rehabbing my crap shoulders with #facepulls, rows, and pullups has given me a profound appreciation for programming that acknowledges the ideal pull to push ratio. The consensus is that you should be pulling 3 times as much as you press and push in the gym. Keep your programming proportionate and you'll have happy #shoulders for a long time - not to mention an impressive back and a solid base for heavy #lifting.
