Preparation for a bikini fitness competition involves not only a regular workout, choosing a bikini, and tanning, but also sticking to a fairly strict diet. The paradox is that you need to eat often, but you're not allowed to eat anything tasty 😂 ⠀ Basically, my diet consists of: 🥦 Green vegetables: cucumbers, broccoli, zucchini... 💪 Vitamins and sports supplements 🥩 Lean, protein-rich meat 💧 Lots of water (up to 3.5 liters per day) ⠀ My trainer laid out a diet to help me bulk up and I stick to it 100%. 🔔 Squat 🔔 Tip of the week: how to perform body weight squat!! WARMING UP is very important before attempting to squat, allow 10 to 15 minutes of dynamic stretching. FLEXIBILITY & MOBILITY IS KEY! Performing the squat 1. Feet should be shoulders width apart (or slightly wider depending on hip width) - with a 10-20% angle, feet pointing out. 2. Chest needs to be up at all times allowing the spine to be in a neutral position throughout the movement. Look directly ahead. 3. Slow and controlled- bend the knees, lead with the rear while keeping torso up right. Allow the hips to go down to 90°(if you can not go down that far, go as far the hips and ankles allow you to go). 4. Up Phase- Exhale as you push through your mid foot/heels and stand up tall. So I have decided to really kick my ass into gear before turkey eating season really gets going! . Yes, it’s only day three, but I have decided to do two-a-days during the week! The morning will be either swimming, abs or yoga. And the evening will involve moving some heavy things at the G-Dub! . So far, so good, but like I said, it’s only day three!
