Idag kompade jag ut tidigare från jobbet för att hinna till ett pt-pass med Erik. Vi körde ben, och jag skulle jobba mig uppåt mot tävlingsvikten. Sedan skulle jag även bli klockad för första gången. På tävlingen kommer man ha 100 sekunder på sig att hinna så många reps som möjligt. Idag klockade alltså Erik mig på böjen, jag hann 11 stycken på 100 sekunder. Mitt mål var 5 stycken, så även där har jag slagit mitt dåvarande mål, men nu har jag nya mål och det kommer aldrig ta slut. Nya mål kommer ALLTID sättas! 💪🏼🤩👊🏼🤗 • Jag är så peppad!!! Spider curls. My favourite bicep exercise as you can get a full stretch on the bicep and no momentum is used to contract the muscles. If you haven’t tried it, I definitely recommend you do! 💪💪 at Pump Gyms Colchester

Last night I ate three donuts 🍩🍩🍩 They weren’t as delicious as I would have hoped (I mean, they were gluten free so my expectations shouldn’t have been that high and I definitely burnt one in the microwave so that was my bad 😂) but I did enjoy them! . Why am I telling you this? . 1️⃣ Because I want you to know that I am not perfect. I don’t eat clean 100% of the time. Usually I do try to have the healthier versions of “bad” foods but sometimes I just go for the bad bad foods 😂 You can still be healthy and live a healthy lifestyle and have some treats once in a while. . 2️⃣ Because I’m not feeling guilty today. I don’t feel like I need to punish myself through excessive restriction or over exercising. I won’t be doing a HIIT session to make up for it. I’ll just be focusing on whole, unprocessed foods today and moving on with my life. 👉🏻It’s not the donuts or the cake or the cheese fries that throw you off track. It’s the guilt that leads to overcompensation that ultimately leads to binging more that causes the downward spiral. . 3️⃣ And because the mindset during a reverse diet is something I know I might struggle with a bit and I want to keep you all up to date with my thoughts. Normal Marisa wouldn’t have eaten three donuts. But last night I experienced a combination of “I just started my period so I want to eat everything,” “I’m on a bulk so screw it, I’ll have more fuel to hit a deadlift PR tomorrow,” and “I know I can get myself right back on track tomorrow without any issues.” I guess that was the secret recipe of “excuses” to drive me to eat some junk food. I don’t regret it but I am going to learn from it. I’m going to try to not use my bulk as an excuse to eat nutritionally poor foods just to hit my calories. But did you know that studies show that diets higher in protein can result in great fat loss. Many people set goals for themselves to lose weight, but what they are really looking for is to lose fat. Weight loss is not always fat loss. Muscle is the most metabolic tissue in the body, and protein feeds the muscle. So, when you consume a serving of protein (roughly 20-25g) you supply your body amino acids to help preserve lean muscle tissue. It does this by switching your body into an anabolic state, where it is primarily burning carbs and fats as fuels instead of breaking down your muscle tissue to find amino acids (catabolic state) Eating protein rich sources every 2-3 hours will keep your body in this anabolic state and prevent your body from breaking down your muscle tissue to find fuel. But, for fat loss to occur, you have to be in a calorie deficit meaning you are burning more calories then you are consuming. Benefits of eating a high protein diet: 1. Helps curve cravings 2. Helps maintain lean muscle mass 3. Helps repair your muscles 4. Helps you feel full 5. With very little time to workout this morning I loved having this program waiting for me! 😍 I can feel my legs getting stronger with each workout 🏋🏻‍♀️ Also, when my lease is up, I need a house or something on the first floor!! I had to modify the heck out of this because the jumping was pretty loud today. I mean, if you know me IRL, you know I’m a super quiet person 🤣 so yeah... I had so much fun this morning I plan to knock out another one tonight! I mean, it’s only 20 minutes so I can’t really talk myself out of it!! 🤪

Here are the exercises you should be doing and let me explain why... - - Scapular push-ups - these exercise the serratus anterior muscle, which is responsible for pulling the scapula onto the rib cage. Which is key for safe shoulder movements as it promotes stability. - - Quadruped Y’s - these exercise the lower traps, which often get forgotten about and therefore remain weak. If you strengthen the lower traps the upper traps will neurologically start to calm down and loosen up over time. - - Shoulder taps- These are great for improving shoulder & core stability as each time you tap you have to engage your entire core in order to not rotate. - - Opposite shin taps - these also work on core and shoulder stability, but they also allow you to get a good rotation and stretch in your latissimus dorsi, which if tight can irritate the shoulder. - - Last, but not least the underrated wall shoulder press. These are humbling. If you can’t do these - you should not be pressing overhead. Often times the shoulders are rounded from a tight chest. So these keep you honest in your range of motion, stretches the chest and strengthens the shoulders. These also condition the traps to relax during a shoulder press. - - If you have ever had shoulder pain you know how much it can suck and how it can really stop you in your tracks. So I hope these tips will improve your shoulder health. But always listen to your body and only do exercises when it is not currently irritated and when your DPT saids you can. - - Let me know what you all think about this post down below :) - - -

I know that new feature on iphones “screentime” had some of us shook 👀 . my phone decided to give out on charging so i spent the day without one and i honestly WAS OKAY. I KNOW WTF!? yes it was annoying & i complained ab it but it gave me kind of a relief. i wasn’t always checking my email, refreshing this app, responding to messages. It makes you realize really how much time we spend twiddling our thumbs..🤔 . . a lot of our jobs depend on technology/ social media these days but do we know when to close the computer? when to silence your phone? IL REMATORE MANUBRI SU PANCA INCLINATA (30-40°). (Video un po' vecchiotto)😅🤦🏻‍♂️ Uno dei migliori esercizi di "remata" che abbia mai provato. Nessunissima possibilità di "barare", movimenti completi e contrazioni di picco qui diventano un must imprescindibile. Allungare bene in basso, avanzando leggermente i manubri rispetto al bordo della panca, e tirarli indietro ed in alto: Nulla di più semplice se lo si fa con un peso adeguato. Un paio di dritte per "sentire" il movimento ancora di più: a) Abbozzare una leggerissima cifosi cervicale (lo so, deprecabile dal punto di vista puramente formale) quando i manubri sono giù, per favorire l'allungamento. b) Provare a tenere i polsi appena flessi all'indietro, dal momento in cui si inizia la fase eccentrica, e durante l'esecuzione della stessa.
