Be kind to all kinds 💚. . Be it cows, be it goats or chickens, be it horses or dogs- there shouldn't be any difference in how we treat them, because they are all sentient beings that wanna live. . Why do we love our dogs and horses, pet cows when they are still out at feed, but simultaneously eat them for lunch?!? I don't get it 🤯! . Well, actually I do, because I was the same. I didn't make the connection and now I am insanely grateful that I did (thank you @benjaminploberger). . In 2019, there is just no need to eat dead bodies of once living animals. The planet (= the planet we LIVE on) is dying in front of our eyes and we are still too stupid to make the necessary changes. Even though it would be so freaking easy. All it takes is to stop buying animal products, because their effects on the environment (and also on our health and on other humans and animals) are worse than I could imagine (I won't go into details here - pls do your own research). There are so many delicious alternatives out there and it can be so much fun to discover them 😋. We go to a local market and pick out all of the fruit and veggies that we all love and want for the week and some delicious fresh eggs and even grab a couple of treats here and there. Not only are you getting what you love, you’re also helping the wider community! M E A T F R E E M O N D A Y - A great way to introduce some more vegetables into your lifestyle, switching something like a curry with meat in it to some cauliflower or some legumes like chickpeas or lentils. It’s a great way to kick the week off adding plenty more hidden essential micronutrients. N O T H I N G F R O M A P A C K E T - Something that you can keep as a challenge for your self to do for a week or longer. I haven't posted in a while and I have so much to share! Last month I had a Doctor appointment and was congratulated for the first time ever at a Doctor appointment, since I can remember! They said that since I was last there in October, I had lost 48 pounds!! I went down a whole BMI level, and all my levels came back great (except iron levels for anemia-but taking care of that now). . . Also, my Doctor STOPPED thyroid medication because he said my levels are great! Take me back to the start! The August bank holiday weekend is always special to me. 💖 - 2yrs ago, whilst visiting @sopwellhouse with the family, I decided to read @hal_elrod’s @themiraclemorning. Something with it really resonated with me, I couldn’t put it down! 😱 - The very next day I decided to wake up one hour earlier than usual and dedicate 10mins to: 🤫 Silence 🗣 Affirmation 💭 Visualisation 🚶🏼‍♂️ Exercise 📚 Reading ✍🏻 Scribing - I got out in what I had; Air Max & Sleepwear and walked around the block. I got up the next day and did the same. And the next. - Soon enough those walks became walk-runs where I ran for as long as I could until I had to walk again. I literally started to build myself up from there. - I started to use my social media as a diary and accountability to make me keep to my word. It’s this accountability that’s led me to change my life forever. 🙌🏻 - Fast forward to today I have installed this daily practice as the foundation of my day. It has allowed me to grow in ways I didn’t know possible. I’ve gained a genuine confidence and self awareness of what I need to love myself and be happy 💖 As my relationship with me grew so did my relationship with others. 👨‍👦‍👦💙 - On Tuesday I celebrate 2yrs of this process, of taking back the reigns of my life, living with 100% responsibility, and I couldn’t feel better. 🎉 - Next weekend I go back to where it all started for me as a new man. My life has changed so much in the past 2yrs as I’ve grown and evolved. 💦🌱🌿🌳 - All it took was the decision to start! Creating routine and habits. Are you a rebel? Can’t stand the routine and refuse to be apart of it? I’m with you! I honestly believed that routines and I did not co-exist. So much so I refused to wear a watch - and that was pre-smartphone era. #sucharebel 🙄 Then I sat back a realised that my life is full of little routines. Over time, I’ve learned that I can actually make my routines work for me. If I have a mindful approach about what I’m doing then I can absolutely nourish habits that foster and generate positive change. Don’t like how something turned out? Change it. Wish you had more hours in your day? Change it. Wish you could have time to do something you really enjoy? DO IT! Our mindset has a huge effect on this and the most important thing to realise is that it needs EFFORT. That’s right, good old fashioned effort. Every person will have had "NO CARBS AFTER 5!!" screamed at them at some point - but is there any truth in that? What about other foods? And what about eating right before you go to bed? . . The truth is, there *are* studies that show a fat-loss advantage in early eaters as compared to late eaters. Overall, early eaters seem to have a slight advantage, though nothing particularly notable. But these studies are controlled trials, which don't accurately reflect real life and real examples. . . The studies identified two reasons why eating at night might hinder fat loss - and both are linked (unsurprisingly) to eating late leading to an increase in your overall daily caloric intake.The first reason is the simplest: if, instead of going directly to bed, we first indulge in a snack, then the calories from that snack are likely calories we might have done without. . . The second reason is that, when we get tired, we tend to eat to keep going, with a predilection for snack foods or tasty treats. So if we stay awake at night — especially to work or study, but even just to watch TV — we’re more likely to eat, not out of hunger, but to help fight sleepiness. . . Either way, the reason for weight gain is the same as it always is: night-time eaters tend to exceed their overall calorie needs, which leads to excess energy, which leads to - guess what? WEIGHT GAIN. If your calorie intake does NOT exceed your calorie needs, you won't gain weight - regardless of what time you eat. . . While “falling off the wagon” is typically used to refer to relapsing, it can be used with the breakdown of habits as well. When we start to form a new habit, we are full of motivation and we pay a lot of attention to detail. It can almost seem as if nothing can escape our eye. But as time goes on and the initial spark goes out, we start to lose focus and might start unconsciously dropping elements from our routine. For example, after 2-3 weeks of following your new workout, nutrition, and hydration routine, you start to slowly reduce your water intake without being aware of it. Instead of consuming your required 3.5L, you’ve dropped down to 2L. Thus mostly happens because we don’t implement checks and balances into our lives to remind us of what to do. 🌟 A few days ago I posted on the habits of happy people vs the habits of successful people. But what is “success”? How do you define it and does it really mean anything in the end? ••••••••••••••••••••••••• Almost on the same day I watched a #peterisms YouTube video by @petermonn about achievement vs success and he described achievement as the things you do that YOU are proud of, and you almost don’t want and definitely don’t need anyone to notice. Success, on the other hand is what other people compliment you on; the things for which you receive external recognition. At the end of the day we all know which is more important for your wellness and happiness (achievements) but listening to this distinction really helped me realise that a lot of the things I’m stressing myself out about are all about success, and I have no control over other people’s thoughts about me or actions. My achievements are what I need to focus on; getting my degree, working on my mental health; going to 6 am yoga where I don’t know anyone because it feels good. These are the important things. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Defining ourselves as “successful” or not is not what we should be doing. Who says the millionaire is successful but the stay at home mom is not? If they both believe they’ve achieved something then that’s what really matters. Today, look at your achievements and your successes. Are you putting your energy into more achievements or success?

Habit! we all have some habits some are good it means habits that help you to solving the problem like waking up early and some are miserable it menas habit that creating the problems like procrastination. What is habit? Technically Habits are automatic responses that often operate without our conscious awareness, and can be extremely hard to change (I know this is very much technical) in short doing one thing unknowingly just like checking your phone when its not ringing. So i started searching for how can we change the habits which are annoying and i found one book "The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg. There are thousands way to change the habit and this book is giving you one of the best way to change habit. By understanding how habits are formed and how they work, we can decide if, and how, to change them. Its really hard to explain everything here but i have some key points from the book "Power of habit" * Golden rule of changing habits: Don't resist craving. Redirect it. * Kicking habits is hard due to rewards at the end of the habit loop. * To end bad habit, replace with a new routine. * Companies can use these habits and cravings to market to customers. * Keystone habits can help you form other habits. * Denying rewards without replacing them makes people frustrated. * Craving can work also work to reinforce good habits. * Small wins are important because they create an impetus behind habit change. Willpower is a finite resource. * All habits form a cue-routine-reward loop. Change might not be fast and it's not always easy. But with time and efforts, almost every habit can be reshaped. To change a habit, you must keep the old cue, and deliver the old reward, but insert a new routine. If you really want to change some habits just go through from this book you will get many examples and the ways to change habit. Keep hustling. #powerofhabit #habits #keephustling

Sitting outside on this chilly night, reflecting on this summer & trying to figure out how to let it end. Summer 2k19 has been one for the books, that’s for sure. But there’s something so magical about fall. The leaves changing, the crisp air. The way it feels like the first day of school even (a lot) of years after graduation. For the first time in a long time, I’m looking forward to whatever is ahead instead of mourning what’s in the rear view mirror. Look at me, I did it, I’m better, and I feel good. 🖤

Fuck motivation. It’s fickle and unreliable. Better to cultivate habits than to rely on motivation. ⁣ ⁣ There wasn’t a trace of motivation in sight for me today. I went and worked out, out of habit, and finished the workout, even though these 185 pound deadlifts felt like 700 pounds. 😩⁣ ⁣ Motivation is fleeting, habits are reliable. Xx. 🖤
