Most difficult yet rewarding #HalfMarathon yet! Definitely put in marathon effort for a half marathon distance! Even with the bus getting stuck in a ditch (for the SECOND time) 5 miles ahead of the start line, I can't say it diminished the adventure and the experience on bit! #GrandCanyonHalfMarathon2019 #GrandCanyonHalf #GransCanyonHalfMarathon #VacationRaces #45thHalfMarathon

Another yummy salad idea! This one is chopped salad and I personally always go for extra greens (= power 💪💪). . Ingredients: ½ Head of Broccoli 1 ½ Cups of Chopped Kale ¼ Cup of Red Onion ¼ Cup Lentils 1 TBSP Hemp Seeds Dressing of Choice ( I prefer a creamy one for this salad ) Directions: Chop kale, broccoli, and onion up. Yayyy 1st day back to heavy lifting in a few weeks since I was focusing on running and light lifts this past month before my Half. 🏃🏽‍♀️I lost a little strength, but deads & squatties still feeling gooood... until tomorrow when I’ll be sore af. 🤷🏽‍♀️😂 I tried to keep my protein macros up while I increased my cardio over the past month to avoid losing muscle as I lost a few pounds.

#transformationtuesday It is Tuesday, right?! Pic on the left from my high school cross country days, age 17. Believe it or not, I HATED running cross country. I only did it because my best friend wanted to, so I said I’d join since she didn’t know anyone. I ran x-country two seasons, injured my hip and didn’t join again my senior year. I took about a 10 year break from running, or any type of exercise really. Then at 27, decided I should probably do some sort of physical activity & running was the most convenient. For the next 4 years, I ran 2-3 miles 5-6 days a week. Got pregnant and ran up until 34/35 weeks with both my babies. A year after kiddo number two, I got it in my head that I wanted to run a half marathon. And so started the love for distance running! Running truly helps keep me sane, is my alone time (which is few and far between with two young kids) and makes me feel like I’ve got it all figured out (spoiler alert 🚨, I don’t!) Almost 10 years since I started running again and I don’t think I’ll take a long break again. Phew, that was a long post! So today was a little cray cray. Got a mile in early but it was still humid AF (never used that term before but it was appropriate for that run promise!). Booty day a little later, then some pizza and a beer with some fellow librarians. A quick nap, then ZUMBA to finish out the day. As emoções são apenas reações às ações e quando elas se tornam permanentes passam a ter efeito acumulativo e se tornam tóxicas. A toxicidade não é limitada ao plano físico, existe também uma toxicidade mental, pois todos os dias acumulamos tensão e estresse. Em momentos de tensão excessiva, todo o organismo é afetado e é importante estabelecer os fatores etiológicos do stress atual (condições internas? Ou externas?). Não transforme tudo em sofrimento: "a dor é inevitável, o sofrimento não". Ignorar problemas psicoemocionais é deixar que problemas físicos desencadeiem, não faça isso! When I crossed the finish line of the @philly_marathon, my first EVER, I was in complete disbelief that I'd actually done it! Running a marathon had been a dream of mine for years, but I never thought I could do it. I remember an ex boyfriend once told me that running a marathon wasn't a "real" accomplishment. . I can't tell you how proud I am of every runner who's ever decided run that first mile, sign up for that 5k, or taken on a marathon. I'm in awe of you! 14 MINUTE COURSE RECORD. . Stuart @stuart_frazier has been getting faster stronger and more confident. Even though he hasn't been able to break 1:24 (has run it twice now) he is definitely getting fitter. . Last week he ran a half were he ran 1:24 again but he ran 14 minutes faster than last year. That's a lot of improvement for one year. . We know that with his new training he will be breaking the 80 minute barrier pretty soon. . Keep it up brother! You are doing amazing 🔥🔥 ➖➖➖ Stuart @stuart_frazier se ha vuelto más rápido, más fuerte y más seguro. A pesar de que no ha podido romper 1:24 (ahora lo ha hecho dos veces) definitivamente se está poniendo en forma. . La semana pasada corrió un medio maratón donde corrió 1:24 otra vez, pero corrió 14 minutos más rápido que el año pasado. Esa es una gran mejora para un año. . 14 MINUTE COURSE RECORD. . Stuart @stuart_frazier has been getting faster stronger and more confident. Even though he hasn't been able to break 1:24 (has run it twice now) he is definitely getting fitter. . Last week he ran a half were he ran 1:24 again but he ran 14 minutes faster than last year. That's a lot of improvement for one year. . We know that with his new training he will be breaking the 80 minute barrier pretty soon. . Keep it up brother! Starting to feel stronger everyday. Ran 7 miles this evening between a 8:30-9 minute pace in 80 degree weather. Longest run in over a month. Baby steps is what I always have to remind myself. I’ll get there slowly but surely. Most importantly I haven’t given up. It’s easy to give up when your feeling discouraged.
