Just started training legs again a couple weeks ago, I’ve had some injuries but legs are one of my biggest goals atm also being my biggest weakness. I never knew what I was missing out on until I moved here😋⠀ HUEVOS RANCHEROS ⠀ 🍽INGREDIENTS⠀ 1 Ezekiel sprouted tortilla ⠀ 1 egg⠀ 1 avocado, sliced salsa⠀ 1 can black beans (about 1/2 cup) ⠀ 1/4 cup Shredded mozzarella ⠀ Fresh ground pepper ⠀ 🍽INSTRUCTIONS⠀ 1. Cook the beans in a pot over medium heat. Once tender, mash with a fork. ⠀ 2. Cook the egg in a skillet sunny side up and heat the tortilla in the microwave⠀ with cheese in the center. ⠀ 3. More than most can imagine, but the plane always take off with the wind. 15 hrs work days with 4am starts 7 days per week is normal now. It’s a hygiene standard. While today was a rest day, I woke up extremely grateful for movement! I am blessed to be able to move my body freely and without pain. I did about 20 minutes of abs and body weight moves and called it a day. . . I am thankful that I changed my "I should get up and work out" to "I must get up and work out"! I've changed my "I should make better choices with my nutrition" to "I must make better choices with my nutrition". Am I perfect at it? Nope. Do I eat things I shouldn't sometimes? Yep! Unilateral band work is my favorite finishers on chest days. Today, I flipped the script and superset band work between db bench press work and dips. So the workout looked like this 10 reps of flat db bench press superset with the unlitaral cross body band press. One of the biggest mistakes that people make if they have underdeveloped or lagging pecs is to continue just doing pressing exercises and not include exercises that put the pecs in a stretch position under tension. Typically, I find that clients with big triceps usually have underdeveloped or lagging pecs due to the triceps taking over the bulk of the pressing. Non-Vegan Boyfriend approved ✔️✔️✔️ (He actually ate it way faster than I did! 😬) _ Plant based meal full of greens, fiber, nutrients, phytonutrients, healthy carbs and lots of plant protein 🌱🌱🌱 _ Plant Based Burrito Bowl 🌽🥒🍆🥑🍅🥕 INGREDIENTS: • homemade guacamole • shredded organic carrots • tiny cut romaine lettuce • no salt added organic kidney beans • organic sweet corn & organic sweet peas • homemade dressing _ METHOD: * Cook organic corn + peas for 10-12 min or until done * While that’s cooking make the Guac first (so the onions + garlic can really flavor it!) * Then Shred the carrots and cut the romaine into very tiny pieces * Open a box/can of no salt added cooked organic beans of your choice (I used kidney beans) and rinse them under cold water in a colander * Add everything to a plate/bowl * Add dressing + mix thoroughly *** Make sure you mix it well so the homemade guacamole becomes like a thick dressing/sauce and coats everything! That makes it a lot tastier & more “fun” to eat! _ Homemade Guacamole Recipe (for 2 people) • I used 4 Haas avocados • 1/4th organic red onion • 2 organic garlic cloves • 1/3 organic lime (squeezed) * Herbamare to taste _ Method: * Scoop avocados into bowl * Using a knife, cut up the avocados until they are so small that it seems mashed (this method makes it not as mushy as actual mashed Guacamole!) * Add in minced onion/garlic (I use a chopper, you can find it on my amazon shop under ‘KITCHEN ESSENTIALS’) * Mix well * Squeeze over 1/3rd lime * Add Herbamare to taste * Mix again _ Homemade Dressing: • Organic Cold Pressed Olive Oil • Organic Red Wine Vinegar • 1/2 a squeezed organic lemon • Herbamare to taste _ I’m not sure the exactly quantity I use, I make it free handed, but per bowl/plate it’s probably about 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1 tablespoon Red Wine vinegar, 1/3rd squeeze lemon, herbamare to taste! Taste it first, if it tastes too acidic, add more olive oil, if it tastes too olive oily, add more lemon or vinegar !

What can I achieve in 120 days? # Since becoming a nutrition coach, Sheena and I have been very busy building a business and serving our clients!  What a didn’t realize would happen is that my training at the gym would not be where it once was and my own nutrition would suffer.  After the Age Group Online qualifiers were over at the end of April, I gave myself permission to take a break from counting macros. I earned it, right? The plan was to start a cutting phase (fat loss) in June.  I started with great enthusiasm but quickly found myself struggling to “hit my macros”. Then, I started enjoying more cocktails than I normally do. You can see where this is going. Well, It’s mid- august and I am not where I want to be. I feel lethargic, sometimes depressed and anxious, and overall insecure.  I realized that when I have a CrossFit competition as a goal I tend to be able to be very disciplined in all aspects of life. It’s time for me to focus on the fact that there doesn’t have to be an endpoint; a vacation, a milestone birthday, or a CrossFit competition for me to take care of myself. For the next 120 days I am setting a goal and taking action to achieve that goal.  The journey never ends, but sometimes it helps to have some specific goals and accountability tied to the goal. # Why a 120 goal?  Well, Sheena, my bad ass business partner,  and I recently spent a few days at a mastermind event with a bunch of really fit coaches and leaders in the health, fitness and nutrition world. I got to hear experts talk about their insecurities, be vulnerable, and be open to constructive criticism that helped them grow. It was truly inspiring to witness. These coaches were challenged to define 120 day goals in a few categories, one of them being a “body” goal. The other categories are business, balance, and being. # See, the funny thing about being a health/nutrition coach is that you can get caught up in helping others set and pursue their goals while putting your own goals on the back burner. I don’t want that. It’s time to be a role model, a mentor, a coach who can empathize with her clients. _ 🙏🏻 Thanks for hanging in with me so far....Goal continued below! 👇🏻👇🏻

A couple weeks ago I had to refocus and tighten up on my diet so I could take off a few extra lbs. These extra lbs started were affecting my run pace. Well I’ve taken off a few lbs and my run pace is getting better. Today has been a crazy day. I was going non-stop at my day job. Then I come home to my dogs who are jerks when my husband isn’t here. Needless to say my day just seemed never ending and just crazy. 🤦🏼‍♀️ ___ I did not want to do my workout today. I just wanted to sit on the couch and watch Netflix. BUT.... I did it. I came home and turned on some music and danced around like a dork! 😂 The dancing brought me out of my mood and I started my workout! ___ I feel 100% better now that I did it. I feel proud that I didn’t let my day get to me. I used to always let the day just suck if it started off that way. Courage is so much more important than confidence. This past year, I lost all of my confidence and I had to rely on my courage. • The worst health issue I’ve ever faced robbed me of my identity. Everything about me changed—even my appearance. I was afraid each day, in terrible pain, and limping to class and around the lab. My confidence was completely gone. But I had to get up each day and try. I had exams to take and lectures to hear and lab reports to complete. And my goals to chase. But my shattered confidence wasn’t going to help me battle through that. I had to find the courage to love my body again. I had to find the courage to face myself each day. And I had to find the courage to try to earn the grades required of me. • Confidence makes us want to do things that we know we’ll be good at. It tempts us into chasing goals that are safe, or seeking recognition and attention for things that we know we do well at. Courage is what will help us achieve the things that scare us. Courage will help us pursue dreams that are not guaranteed successes. Courage is what gets us through periods of uncertainty. Life is uncertain. We won’t always be confident. Nor should we be. But we can always be courageous. • If you’re daydreaming of things that you don’t feel confident enough to chase, find the courage to try. If you’re hurting, physically or emotionally, please don’t tell yourself that you’re stuck. Let your courage lead you towards healing. Facing ourselves can be the scariest thing we ever do. We may find pain, dark corners, and a lack of confidence that’s uncomfortably sparse—but that’s where courage can carry us through. Be COURAGEOUS.

THIS IS A GYM 👆 BUT ITS ALSO SO MUCH MORE... READ ON! Yesterday was my first time doing a workout in the gym since before I got pregnant about 2 years ago! And it felt so damn good 😊👌 Yes I've been running and doing workouts at home and outside but it's not the same for me. I know, I know a lot of people hate gyms and theres a lot of stigma, etc that can go along with them. I dont know if its because I've been in the industry for such a long time or because health and fitness has been such a large part of my life for so long but to me it is like my 'zone'. 🌐 When I'm there it doesn't matter what's happening out there in the rest of the world. This is 'my' time and the time to push myself to my limits! 🤜 theres something so satisfying about pushing out those few extra reps that you could do last time, putting that pin to the next weight which means you've gotten stronger💪 not to mention the physical and mental changes you see and feel 🤗🙃 👌😍 So although to some it's their worst nightmare 😱 to others it's a place where legends can be made, dreams come true and goal reaches 🏅 a chance to become a better version of you 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️ Plus it always helps when you find a gym you like, with all the equipment you love and it's right around the corner! I often go to the grocery store in the middle of a weekday with Austyn & Emery and will get asked from time to time, "Are you a stay at home dad?" I kind of am because I don't have to go to work at a location. I get to stay home and work our business in the cracks of the day while also being a full time parent. - It's been nearly two years since I adopted this girl right here. I feel extremely special that I was chosen to raise this child & our little Em. I'm especially glad that I actually have lots of time to spend with my kids. - I knew I wanted to be a dad someday, but never did I imagine that I would marry someone who already had a child. - I was a single bachelor at the time working toward being able to one day support a family but not realizing how close that family was to being real. When I started dating Alyssa, I knew Austyn was part of the package & I was more than okay with it... I didn't have it all together, nor will I ever. But I'm learning along the way, just like with anything else, that it's okay to just do your best. - I'm so grateful we built a business that not only provides us with an income, but also gives me time with this kid. Finding an opportunity that provides both is rare. But when we found a platform that enabled us to build the life we'd only ever dreamed of, you better bet, we ran with it! - I wasn't there when Austyn was a baby. But, that's okay. I spent years waiting for that “perfect time” and it never came. I finally got to the point where I said enough was enough and just took that leap! Was it the perfect time? Absolutely not. But I wanted to make a change and I didn’t care what I had to do to get there. I just said let’s go! And jumped right in with two feet! And It has been the best damn decision I have ever made! ✨ It has ONLY been 45 DAYS since I started this journey.. and I already feel stronger, healthier, happier, and more positive about life! If I waited for that, “perfect time” I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. Eating out doesn’t have to be a deal breaker when you have goals to achieve. • Whether traveling for vacation or work, experiencing new, local cuisine can be the highlight of any trip. Luckily, you can enjoy the food at a majority of the restaurants you’ll visit by follow a few key “tricks” of the trade: ✨If picking your own restaurants, search directly in Google, Yelp, or Trip Advisor for keywords like “grass-fed” or “gluten-free” along with “restaurant” and the name of city you’re visiting. ✨When you arrive at a restaurant, tell the waiter you are gluten-free (or dairy-free) and would appreciate their help in making substitutions. Most of the time, they’ll make immediate recommendations and let the chef know your sensitivity. ✨When ordering salads, simply ask to sub the dressing for a side of olive oil (if you didn’t bring your own!) Ask them to hold any croutons or cheeses if you’re choosing to avoid gluten and processed dairy. ✨You can order any burger dish by simply asking them to hold the bun, and leave any sauces on the side. If you’d like to avoid the items fried in vegetable oils, sub out the fries for other sides they offer like grilled vegetables or rice. ✨You can order any entrée dish that includes meats like steak, fish, or chicken by simply asking for “double the veggies” as your side instead of any gluten or processed dairy items. ✨Avoid vegetable oils, ask if there is an option to have your meat or vegetables cooked in butter instead. • ✨While all of these tips can be helpful the most important thing you can do when eating out is not stress about food perfection. FUN FACT FRIDAY! ______________________________________________ 1) I graduated college 9 years ago with a double major in Marketing and Management. My college career went - Undeclared ➡️ English Ed ➡️ Special Ed ➡️ Art Ed ➡️ Marketing ➡️ Management ________________________________ 2) I didn't pursue Art Ed because my art professor criticized my work which discouraged me immensely _________________________________ 3) I had an Art Therapist when I was a few years old to help me understand my parent's divorce. Art was and still is my form of expression, outlet and personal reflection (introverts, unite!). _________________________________ 4) I attribute my artistic abilities to my mother, she is the most creative person I know! _________________________________ 5) As a child, I used to draw pictures for the local newspaper called The Wide Awake Club. Thanks to my stepmom for always encouraging me to participate. The *best* drawings would get featured in the newspaper, and numerous of my drawings were chosen over the years.
