Another great post from @drnadolsky ・・・ One thing that gets misinterpreted in these obesity as a disease discussions is that regardless of fault, no one will be able to lose the weight for you. You still must do it. . Obesity as a disease isn’t an excuse. It’s just an understanding of why obesity shouldn’t be viewed as a lack of will power or flaw. It’s understanding how difficult it can be for some to lose weight and keep it off. . I wish everyone enjoyed physical activity. I wish everyone chose vegetables and fruit over fried foods. I wish everyone could eat until satisfied and it were the right amount of calories they need and not more.... but this is why it’s so complex. . Anyway... regardless of the complexities, only you have the power to do something about it. I wish I could do it for my patients. I really do. I can only show the path and help with strategy and even medicines/surgery/behavioral therapy if needed as tools. . Also this whole “no excuses” thing is ignorant. We all have barriers. Understanding the barriers whether physiological, psychological, environmental or whatever is the key. A 20 year old single male personal trainer versus a single mother of 3 with 2 of them special needs who works multiple jobs to make ends meet and is on medicine that increases her appetite. Sure... we could say the single mom still has no excuses but those are pretty good reasons why it’s harder for them versus the young guy who can work out and plan meals accordingly. . Anyway just adding more commentary here because I keep seeing comments about this. . It’s not a cop out. It’s an understanding of the situation so that we can treat it and attack it better. Your diet does not determine whether you will get sick or whether you will heal. We all know someone who, despite eating healthy and exercising still got struck with cancer. Or that person who manages to eat the ultimate unhealthy diet and still not get sick. These people are not just lucky, they are not just blessed with good genes. Diet is not the determining factor. For optimal wellbeing, of course, it is important to eat nourishing foods, but how you feel about your diet and about yourself for eating that diet has a far greater impact on your health than what you are actually eating. 🍏🥑💚 continue drinking all the celery juice if it makes you feel good, but if not, understand that it is not the missing puzzle peace to healing.

My husband is so awesome! 🥰As I’m doing the #jessiesgirls3k challenge for the next 12 weeks and while I’m resting between sets, he is either modifying his or doing what I’m doing as he is supporting me in my journey. Being a Physical Therapist, DPT he doesn’t want me to injure myself again, so he is making sure what I’m doing in my challenge is correct posture and movement. He helps by asking my heart rate and telling me to slow down if I’m feeling nauseous or if my heart rate is just too fast. I’m so blessed he is with me in this. Here he is doing the ball, which is what I had to do and then he is modifying another exercise I had to do because there were no heavy weights in this area of the gym. ♥️♥️♥️ plus by us doing this his son Aiden is coming and choosing to do some form of exercise! Triple win!!

NLA for Her is so awesome. I have to be careful with what I take because of my hypothyroidism and so far I believe I have found the right routine for my workouts and bedtime. I’ll share how I get my vitamins, nutrients, pre and probiotics in another post. My husband takes Le-Vel thriveFit for his workouts. NLA for Her is working great for me. I love the pre-workout and post-workout shake. I used to be afraid that if I do that I’d gain weight but my Protein mix has glutamine in it which is hard to find in other pre and post workouts I’ve tried. I do have a separate bottle of glutamine for those mixes but it’s nice to just have it all in one. ♥️ @nlaforher

An early birthday present 🎁 I only heard about the importance of mindset around 3 years ago. Up until then I had ZERO clue what it meant or entailed 🤔 When it was then explained to me I thought it was a little (witch type hugging trees potions and dancing round fires kinda thing) 😳😂 Then I surrendered to it as i got into a real bad place in my life and business... I decided I had NOTHING to lose so I gave it a try 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Honestly the mind is SUCH a powerful thing and the things we constantly tell ourselves are PURE RUBBISH!!!! Half way through January, everyone still hanging in there? . So refreshing to see a lot less ‘January detoxing’ and more using January to kickstart a healthy lifestyle. . I have struggled previously to find a healthy balance with fitness and food and have been suckered into the ‘fad diets’ but eventually I feel I have found something that works for me, a balance that is sustainable long term. . I have been getting a lot of questions lately about how I stay so motivated and how I go to the gym so much. Over the next few weeks I am going to be sharing my fitness journey on the blog. . I don’t really feel like my routine is anything crazy or I never feel like I am restricting myself but I think that’s because it’s part of my lifestyle now rather than quick fixes like go nuts a month before I went on holidays. . Small changes can have a huge impact, not only on physical appearance but on mental health, sleep and wellbeing. What is your biggest struggle when it comes to fitness? . It’s so important to have a reason to move and this is like 95% of the reason why I workout. . #Eczema 💥 When you feel separated from someone, essentially when you 'lose touch'; a relationship ends, a loved one moves far away, someone passes away, a baby is separated from her mother, a toddler is left at daycare, the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin) begins a process of ulceration. This is microscopic so it is not drastic or visible, but can become dry and flaky if ongoing. This creates a temporary loss of sensation in that area to help the individual cope with the 'loss of touch'. Once the issue is resolved; a re-uniting occurs, one comes to terms with a loss, a new relationship is established, the skin goes into healing. The lost skin cells are now replenished. As with all healing this happens with swelling, tenderness and pain. The eczema now becomes visible and we can see that 'something is wrong', but in reality it is a healing. Vicious cycles can become established if an individual continues to re-experience a separation or is reminded of the original separation and the resulting inflamed skin is also termed #DERMATITIS. This whole process is identical during a conflict of 'wanting to separate' from someone or something, and if the separation is particularly brutal or severe it can also cause #vitiligo.

I hate how my stomach looks in the last photo- I feel like I don’t look very lean, my posture is bad and blah blah blah 🙄 Nobody is perfect, people don’t walk around with a flat stomach 24/7 and sometimes we over eat 🐒 It’s hard not to compare ourselves to people online who look perfect but just remember that they don’t look like that all the time and everyone has their own insecurities ❤️ Happy hump day ✨

It's only when I compare the pictures, that I can see the changes. Never thought I'd buy a crop top, let alone feel comfortable wearing one. There are no pictures for December/Jan as I've definitely not been consistent with the healthy eating and exercise... So I stumbled across a post from @ticklemeketo & she posted a pic of her #nsv of her in a towel with it being wrapped all the way around her & apparently got some rude comments about how she is out here tryin to steal husbands 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ smh. Why can't everyone just be supportive, regardless of what the journey or the NSV, just be happy the other person is making progress & if you can't be happy about it then shut up & keep scrolling & stop trying to bring other people down with your ridiculous negative vibes.... I don't remember when exactly I was able to wrap a normal size towel around me WITHOUT gaps but I do remember it was exciting & I cried a little bit. I remember that 18 months ago this towel would not stay closed at the top without me holding it & the bottom part, yeah the gap was so big ALL of my bits would show.
