Hi there! Hope you are feeling great and energetic! I am NOT! 😂 Our new puppy is keeping me up a LOT at night! I am tired, have a pretty bad neck pain and a mild headache. Well, that's life! Still will work out and eat good food :). My lunch today: Tuna salad and apple sandwich with avocado en strawberries.. I came up with a new 90 second bread. It has more flavor and it feels more "bready" than my usual one. The ingredients: * 1 tsp avocado oil. * 1 Egg * 2 Tbsp Coconut flour. * 1 Tbsp Nutritional yeast. * 1 pinch baking soda * 1 pinch sea salt. . NOTES: you can replace the nutritional yeast by grated Parmesan cheese. You can also use olive oil instead of avocado, or melted butter.

I absolutely love clean eating these days, it is part of my daily regimen but especially as we find ourselves quarantined, I make it a point to brunch healthy with servings of fresh veggies, fish and egg for protein and always a bowl of mixed fruits. I’ve paired up two simple meals that incorporate hot and cold.. perfect for this time of year. The first is a Tomato salad with radish , cucumber and raw asparagus with mint and my salmon cake topped with a perfectly runny egg and flakes of chia seeds.. served with a mixed lemon berry salad sprinkled with healthy seeds and lemon. The second is an even quicker brunch consisting of tomato and asparagus, topped with light canned tuna ( less the oil) and another runny egg, sprinkled with chia seeds and cracked pepper. That’s it.. served along side balsamic and honey fruits. Keep it fresh, keep it simple and nutritious. Cover pot and bring to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and let sit for 12 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water until eggs have cooled enough to peel. Peel eggs and slice in 1/2. Remove yolks and add to a bowl with 1/3-1/2 cup mayo + 2-3 tsp yellow mustard + salt and pepper, to taste. Stir mixture until smooth. Pipe or spoon mixture back into egg halves and season generously with EBTB seasoning. ⠀⠀

We have to learn to move our attention away from “optimal” & start to at least understand what “practical” looks like.

Think of the whole thing as a continuum…From sub-practical through to optimised.⁣ ⁣ It’s a sliding scale & we are always moving on it. So if a few metrics have had to slip right now as a result of the way the world is…don’t beat yourself up over it!

Remember that all of you started your health & fitness journeys in a sub-practical state…you’re better than you were in most if not all aspects!⁣ ⁣ This whole thing is an opportunity to work on the things that you’ve avoided until now. You’ve avoided them because you’re likely no good at them.

In my experience, people don’t do the things that they should do to improve…instead, they do the things that they are good at.

Why?

Because we are terrible at delaying our gratification. 
Doing what we are already good at gives us instant gratification. 
On the contrary, doing the things that we need to improve at, delays that gratification, and in a world of constant mobile dopamine hits, this seems like unnecessary hard work.

Let me tell you, the gratification on improving in areas that need work, will FAR OUTWEIGH the instant dopamine hit of proving to yourself that you can do something that you’re already good at!⁣ ⁣ Entering “the cave” is analogous to the things you’re no good at.

In there lies a long and unknown list of challenges. Get the cauliflower recipe ​ Roasted Cauliflower Steaks⁣ - 1 head of cauliflower (about 600g roughly) ⁣ - 1tsp onion granules ⁣ - 1tsp garlic granules ⁣ - 1/2tsp smoked paprika ⁣ - 2tsp nutritional yeast⁣ - olive oil ⁣ - pumpkin seeds/sunflower seeds or both (optional) ⁣ - crushed sea salt & black pepper⁣ - 1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley for garnish. ⁣ ⁣ Method⁣ 1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C fan/400F/gas mark 6. Line a high sided baking tray with nonstick baking parchment. ⁣ ⁣ 2. Slice the cauliflower lengthways into thick slices using a large knife, then place them onto the baking tray.⁣ ⁣ 3. Drizzle the cauliflower steaks with a little olive oil until all sides of the cauliflower steaks are saturated. ⁣ ⁣ 4. Add all the dry seasonings into a small bowl including the salt and pepper, then mix well until fully combined. ⁣ ⁣ 5. Sprinkle the seasoning all over the cauliflower steaks on all sides until evenly coated.⁣ ⁣ 6. Cover the baking tray with tin foil and bake in the oven for 6mins, then take off the foil. Sprinkle the cauliflower steaks with seeds, then place back into the oven for a further 10-15 mins. ⁣ ⁣ 7. Turn them over halfway through cooking time so both sides are crisp. Mezcla ingredientes secos, harinas, baking soda,canela, sal y azúcar. 2. En otro recipiente mezcla mantequilla de maní 🥜, aceite de coco, vainilla. Mételo al microondas 15 seg y revuelve, Luego agrega la miel de maple. Agrega a los ingredientes secos y revuelve. En un recipiente para hornear galletas (recomiendo papel antiadherente abajo de las galletas) hacer bolitas con la masa, y luego las aplastas con un vaso y le colocas una pecana arriba de cada galleta.
