SWEET VODKA BERRY ORANGE MARGARITAS... It’s 5o’clock somewhere right? So from my last post I needed to make something alcoholic using my favourite fruit...berries! So here is a very sweet berry cocktail! Confession I hate tequila! Wait don’t unfollow yet, let me tell you why. In university we were broke, obviously being students who wasn’t? So we used to drink before we went out! One night we had a tequila night and I had 15, yes 15 shots of tequila in the space of an hour! I don’t even know how I made it to the club! Anyway, you can imagine what happened next. My night ended up being very short haha! However I love tequila in daiquiris! I’ve become a little more sophisticated in my third decade on this earth. So this is one recipe you won’t want to miss I promise! Make it, devour it then make another! Il come over! . . . Berries of choice Oranges Sweetner Ice cubes Tequila Sparkling water or sugar free lemonade . . . Squeeze the juice out of one orange into a glass! Place some berries into the glass and mix well till a purée forms. In another glass add the sparking water ice cubes and vodka! Shake well and add to the purée glass! How?? 😭😭😭 this is one of those days where I just want to walk away from slimming world or any kinda diet for that fact! Posted @withregram@melissaongmeiting [Recipe] Toddler friendly 2- way healthy chicken nuggets We had nuggets last night and Oli kept eyeing them but I can't bring myself to give him those processed nuggets so I made some for him today! Here's my simple recipe! Ingredients - Chicken Breast cut into bite sized pieces - 1 egg -@liloikanbilis ikan bilis and mushroom powder - ginger onion garlic powder - paprika - black pepper - Panko bread crumbs - corn flour - olive oil Steps: 1) Marinate chicken with olive oil and a generous amount of @liloikanbilis powder, garlic ginger and onion powder. Crack an egg in and mix well 2) Assemble your nugget factory. Place corn flour in a bowl and panko breadcrumbs onto another bowl Mix ginger onion garlic powder, paprika, black pepper and Lilo powders into both bowls. Mix well. 3) Split chicken into 2 parts. 1 part to be coated in breadcrumbs mix and 1 part to be coated in flour mix. 4) After coating the chicken, set aside on a plate to rest before air frying. 5) Preheat air fryer to 200 degrees. 6) Air fry 5 mins each side, total 10 mins per batch. 7) Let it cool and serve! Sometimes it’s just being a bit clever and spending more time looking for lower calorie alternatives that don’t compromise on taste and enjoyment!! Take this flavour packed breakfast bagel for example...I used bagel thins, two eggs, ham instead of bacon and yes-there even butter in there! All came in at approx 350cals and 30 grams of protein...compare that to a normal bagel with bacon and butter that would come in at over 600cals!!?😱 This isn’t a lecture at all because if you love your butter and bacon...flippin well go for it!!😋😋 just an example to show if want to lose weight/be healthier...you can do it and love the process!! Saturdays are for blueberry coulis and strawberry oats ✨ •Cook some chia seeds in boiling water, once they have swollen up lower the heat •Add 40g of oats (per person) and some almond milk, and stir regularly •In another pan heat some frozen blueberries with a dash of water and some chia seeds •After 15min of cooking the oatmeal, serve into a bowl •Add the strawberries, and top your bowl with the blueberry coulis Voila! ✨

Day 11 It’s weigh in day and even though I’ve lost 1.5kg since my last weigh in exactly a week ago and 3.1kg in total from my start weight (10 days ago) I feel like I could have done better. Some of my food choices were really poor especially the noodles, I also realized I was overly snacking and I didn’t move as much as I should have. Hopefully, I make smarter choices in the coming week. This is a dish we would have at any time of the day.
