School/education . I got my undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Texas State University. After graduating I completed my dietetic internship through Iowa State University which was an accelerated distance program. After finishing 5 years of college, 1200 hours of internship experience I passed my board exam to become a Registered Dietitian in 2016. . Shortly after becoming a Dietitian, I started training to become a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT). LEAP stands for Lifestyle Eating And Performance, this is a specialist certification in food sensitivities using the Mediator Release Test (MRT). I’ve helped hundreds of clients manage and even reverse their food sensitivities by getting tested and following the appropriate protocol. . Although I loved dietitian school, I have learned much more useful information outside of school than I did in undergrad. Dietitian schooling is very conventional. Thinking back I remember my favorite class was called “Functional Foods” where I distinctly remember learning that black pepper enhances the bioavailability of turmeric. This makes so much sense to me and I feel like I ended up in the field I was meant to, functional and integrative nutrition. . I’m a podcast junkie. I listen to 1-2 podcasts daily on health, wellness, nutrition or spirituality daily. White sugar, honey, agave nectar, stevia, erythritol, xylitol, brown sugar, molasses, cane sugar, cane syrup, maple syrup, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, sucralose, saccharine, and on and on. ▪️ So many to choose from, but which are the healthiest choices? Do they all have to be avoided? ▪️ In my opinion, all artificial sweeteners should be avoided. This would include aspartame, sucralose, Acesulfame, Neptune and saccharine. ▪️ I also recommend limiting sugar alcohols (any that end in -ol) as they can cause diarrhea and other digestive distress. ▪️ Other sources of sugar (white, brown, molasses and syrups) should also be limited or avoided. Many are genetically modified plants, all are addictive and all affect blood sugar, weight loss and gut microbes. ▪️ Raw organic honey and stevia are the best choices. Raw organic honey provides a lot of great health and immune boosting ingredients. Stevia is a zero calorie potent sweetener that doesn’t seem to affect blood sugars or metabolism in the same way as other sweeteners. ▪️ All should be limited as there are many far more nutritious foods that provide additional benefits. Sweeteners don’t provide much actual nutrition.

I drink this shake every single day and have been since 2013! I don't have the same flavor or make the same recipe because I like to change it up a little! . . Stacia Williams shares her story..... In honor of being on TriPlex and XFactor Plus for 10 months, I figured it would be a good time to share my journey! I started these products desperate for some help with my severe eczema. I was having to use any and every topical steroid prescribed and some over-the-counter options to cope with my weepy, itchy, burning, oozing, flaking skin. I couldn't smile without tearing my skin or even let me kids fingers get near my face. I was in so much pain! If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably caught on to the fact that I’m definitely the type of person to get caught up on a single good. Today I made a Low Carb/ Keto friendly Lebanese 🇱🇧 inspired meal. The chicken is inspired by our breakfast pizza “Mankoushi” which is Thyme and sesame seeds served next to our infamous 🥗 salad “Fatoush” which is traditionally made with toasted bread but in this case I used baked cheese 🧀 to keep it Keto. Let’s start: 1- Marinate skinless chicken with Thyme “Zaatar” which is easily found in middle eastern stores, Sumac which is a sour herb, minced garlic, minced ginger, cold pressed olive oil, lemon 🍋 juice , cinnamon powder and salt and pepper. 2- While your chicken is marinating.. prepare your fatoush salad by chopping the following: lettuce, 🥒 cucumber, tomatoes 🍅, radish, watercress, a small onion, a clove of minced garlic .... season with salt, add pomegranate molasses and surely good quality olive oil. Instead of bread .... bake some cheese until crispy and break into pieces. Garnish with more Sumac for that sour taste. 3- Grill your chicken on an iron skillet until golden...... when cooked sprinkle more sesame seeds and enjoy with your salad. Make every meal worth having and Voila.... Este ha sido mi almuerzo de hoy, ya en la recta final para acabar los exámenes. Por eso lo más importante es que sea fácil buenas rápido de hacer, para tenerlo preparado en 15 minutos y poder emplear el tiempo que no estoy estudiando descanso y haciendo ejercicio. La receta es muy sencilla, solo tenéis que hacer un sofrito con ajo y aceite de oliva, después añades unas acelgas lavadas, con media taza de caldo casero (o comprado, pero revisa esos ingredientes), y añadimos una cucharada de albahaca seca. Aparte cocemos unos huevos durante 5 minutos para que la yema no cuaje del todo, y unas patatas en el microondas cinco minutos con pimentón. Si queréis al final añadimos aguacate y aceite de oliva. Listo para comer 🌿🌿🌿 . This has been my lunch today, already in the final stretch to finish the exams. That's why the most important thing is that it's easy to do fast, to have it ready in 15 minutes and be able to use the time I'm not studying rest and exercise. The recipe is very simple, you just have to make a sauce with garlic and olive oil, then add some chard washed, with half a cup of homemade broth (or bought, but check those ingredients), and add a tablespoon of dried basil. Apart we cook some eggs for 5 minutes so that the yolk does not set fully, and some potatoes in the microwave five minutes with paprika. If you want at the end add avocado and olive oil. I had this idea in my head how a perfect meal *should* look like and how you're *supposed* to be eating. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Sure, this bowl of pasta still passes as "healthy", but my brain would have known many reasons why it's not good enough. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today I ate that bowl of pasta without giving any fucks. It was what I wanted right in this moment and I enjoyed the hell out of it. So maybe I'll be hungry again in a few hours because there might not have been "enough" protein, but who cares? I can eat again if I want to. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, what's the perfect meal? Anything you want it to be. It may be a giant salad one day for lunch and a tub of ice cream for dinner the other day. I’m starting to fall in love with baking my veggies. So easy to chop them up, toss them with some herbs and olive oil and just pop them in the oven. Today, I baked pumpkin, fennel, carrots and garlic + zucchini veggie burgers (cassava flour, grated zucchini, onion, garlic, fresh parsley, turmeric, salt), and served them with fennel fronds pesto. There are days when my body doesn’t crave meat, and these veggie burgers are my go to recipe. Once in a while I will use chickpea flour instead of cassava, my body seems to react well to it, sometimes I even find myself craving it, and it really gives me a good boost of energy.
