EXERCISE AND STRESS RELIEF 💪 . Stress is an inevitable part of life. While there are times where stress is higher than others (a new baby, planning a wedding, a new job, death of a loved one), just the fact that we are humans means we deal with some form of stress on a daily basis. It is common to turn to physical activity as a form of stress-reduction, which can be very effective by: increasing endorphins, allowing you to gain clarity from the situation, and can improve sleep and mood. . At the same time, it is important to remember that exercise itself is a form of stress. During times of high life stress, intense exercise may exacerbate the effects of stress (high cortisol levels). Recovery rates are slower, and you can become more susceptible to injury. So, while it may feel great to go for a 10-mile run or push yourself in an intense HIIT workout, you are just adding to the stress your body is going through and may be doing more harm than good. . You need to have some other tools in your stress-busting tool belt outside of pushing yourself in an intense sweat session. No excuses. / When you are traveling or on vacation, it can be easy to get out of routine. / BUT you don't have to. / This is a picture of my dinner while spending the weekend in Bend with my family. / We rented an Airbnb, so we could have access to a kitchen and so our pups could come too! Talk about a full (mini) house! 3 people 3 pups. 😱 / AND we brought most of the food we ate. This was food that was probably going to go bad if we had left it at home. PLUS eating 2 meals at home saved us a lot of money AND time - just think of how long it can take running out to get food or sitting down at a restaurant? / This left more money and time for activities :D ... Like Skiing, snowshoeing, dog walks, hikes, shopping, etc. / What we brought: - Salad box, Shredded & rotisserie chicken, homemade granola, berries bananas, peanut butter, LO roasted veggies (Brussels, zucchini), hummus, guacamole, baby carrots, olives, mushrooms, tortillas, bacon, GF pizza dough, pancake mix, GF bread, jam..... can't remember what else. Basically, anything left in the fridge at home 😂 Totally worth it. Pictured here is the last of the food leftover on the last night in bend: Salad, shredded chicken instapot chicken marinated in whole grain mustard and coconut aminos, grainless granola, Kite Hill chive 'cream cheese', roasted Brussels and garlic hummus. It was a great workout today! The girls joined me for a bit with the daily moves and Katherine did the video with me a little but they both just kept saying why is it so hard haha. It was a bit difficult and I did have to modify a bit due to being so out of shape but I got through it!!!! I changed my class from the 9am and I was in class with Karena which was so exciting!!!! Couldn’t resist😂➡️ . Coming atchuuu with a recipe from a few posts back! Raw chia protein ‘brownies’ 🤩 . Ingredients: ✖️1 scoop Vega chocolate all in one protein powder ✖️1/2 cup dates ✖️1/4 cup raw hazelnuts ✖️1/4 cup oats ✖️2tbsp chia seeds ✖️2tbsp almond butter ✖️3tbsp maple syrup (2.5 would’ve been better!) . Put the protein, dates, hazelnuts and oats in a food processor until the oats are almost in a flour consistency. Then dump the batter into a mixing bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix and then press into a pan and refrigerate! . That’s it! Enjoy💓

Like many people, winter is a hard season for me. The sun is rising so late and setting so early here in England and the weather is mostly grey every day, so the seasonal depression is real. Trying to get as much sun as I can while it’s out and grounding myself with warm oil massages and nourishing cooked foods. I think it’s also really important that even if you do find winter tough, to stay present and appreciate it for what it is — I try and use these few months as a time for rest and really going inward, working on myself, before the renewal and rejuvenation of spring. Доброе утро, дорогие мои! Вот люблю я Илью Лазерсона @spasibochef и его "истории" обо всем. Уже давно начала смотреть его рубрики по телевизору, на телеканале Еда. Показывает понятно и доступно, рассказывает интересно. Конечно не мог меня не впечатлить его "ответ" ризотто с грибами- перловка с грибами. Многие очень критично относятся к перловке, как к крупе бедняков. И мало кто знает, насколько полезна эта крупа. А ее принцип " ешь и не толстей" вообще незаменим после новогодних праздников! Калорийность перловой каши всего 121 килокалория на 100 граммов. Ее регулярное употребление способствует очищению организма от шлаков и предотвращает образование жировых отложений. Девочки, ешьте и худейте! Помимо всего ввшеперечисленного, она еще потрясающе вкусная, и не только в расольнике, если ее правильно приготовить. Я взяла 350-400 гр крупы 8шт грибов 3 маленьких половинки куриной грудки 2 луковицы 1 морковка Соль 1 кубик куриного бульона ( если есть живой бульон, то замечательно) Перловку замочить на ночь в холодной воде. Утром промыла крупу, залила чистой водой, на 2 см выше, чем уровень крупы. Ставим варить. Добавим куриный кубик, посолим по вкусу, доведем до кипения, убавляем огонь на минимум, прикрываем крышкой и оставляем вариться. Варится перловка около 30- 40 минут (+ -), пока не выкипит вода, как в гречке. Пробуем и определяем. Пока варится перловка, готовим грибы с мясом. Курицу порезать и обжарить на большом огне. Туда же отправляем лук. Дать луку хорошо прожариться. Режем и отправляем в сковороду грибы. Солим. Убавляем немного огонь и даем грибочкам прожариться. добавляем морковь, порезанную кубиком. Выключаем сковородку, когда морковь немного размягчится. В готовую перловку выкладываем нашу начинку, хорошо размешиваем, и оставляем на самом маленьком огне еще на минут 5. Плотно закрываем крышкой и оставляем настояться нашу перловку с грибами и мясом . Когда я вспоминаю о детстве, мне становится грустно и весело одновременно. Тогда мир воспринимался совершенно по-другому, заботили совсем другие “проблемы”. Некоторые поступки того времени сейчас кажутся странными. Помню, у меня вызывали ужас сметана, творожок, сырники. Мама часто покупала все эти молочные продукты на рынке и по утрам кормила этими дарами коровки. "Полезно, вкусно, сытно", - не уставала повторять она. А мне не хотелось, но каждое утро происходило по одному сценарию: “съешь это за маму, съешь это за папу”. А сейчас что? Ни один мой день не проходит без молочка или йогурта. Все меняется. Только бегать на рыночек приходится самой и лепить сырнички тоже. А сегодня проснулась и так явно вспомнила запах и вкус этих сказочных творожных шариков, которые иногда готовила мама на завтрак! Кто помнит творожные шарики!? 😋😋😋 Они оказались божественны! Нежные, воздушные, с румяной хрустящей корочкой, ммм... попробуйте! 500 гр творога 2 яйца 1ч.л.разрыхлителя Сахар по вкусу Мука для прочной консистенции Ингредиенты смешать. В небольшую узкую кастрюльку налить масло см1,5 и хорошо разогреть на плите. Влажными руками скатать из творога маленькие шарики и сразу опускать их в раскаленное масло. Вилочкой не дать им прилипнуть ко дну, они тогда всплывут и их передвигать, чтобы они подрумянивались в масле со всех сторон. Румяными они становятся очень быстро, минуты 3- 4 и достаем шумовкой. Выкладываем на салфетку, а в кастрюльку опускаем следующую партию. Когда шарики обсохнут и остынут, посыпем их сахарной пудрой. У кого есть фритюрница, все это можно сделать во фритюрнице. Мне проще в кастрюле и масла меньше надо, и как в детстве😁 . Они очень нежные, воздушные и вкусные!
