Sometimes the light reflects in different ways, same spot different times. ⁣ I can take a photo and you won't see my imperfections and i can take a photo and you would see my imperfections.⁣ ⁣ When my skin started to blotch which then i didn't know was vitiligo i used to look at it and hate it. I would think there was something wrong with me, that my body was yuck and my skin had a disease that would only allow people to see what was on top and not underneath.⁣ ⁣ I did not know it came in many forms and i did not know there are many others with the same/similar condition, i may not have it as progressed as others but i still have it and I'll be damed if i let it defy me.⁣ ⁣ To look at my skin now and see it as "the map of my temple" i know i have come a very long way and am damn proud of it.⁣ ⁣ Loving my body like it loves me is so so important, self care and love are a must! We all deserve to feel happy, confident and sexy no matter who the f we are or look like ❤❤❤ ⁣ own every imperfection of yours as perfection is fake and overrated.

From years of comfort eating to finding other ways now to deal with emotions, we do not realise the impact it has on our bodies, we also don't always look at exercise as a way to deal with those emotions and to release those feel good chemicals back into our body!

It’s been a while since you’ve all seen my sweaty face so here it is 🙈😩 look at mount Vesuvius 🌋 on my chin 😭 with just 3 days until my hen do 😱 all the sweat is taking its toll on my skin but I wouldn’t have it any other way! TRUE OR FALSE: You can eat poorly and be in good health. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Shockingly we know this can be true. 🤷🏻‍♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You hear stories about people who did all the wrong things and outlived everyone they know...why is this? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A big factor is because being healthy is NOT just about the food 🥬🥦 we eat. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There is so much more at play... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ and that is your lifestyle and more specifically your stress.🤯 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know people who are doing all the things...drinking the green juice, eating mostly vegetables, staying away from sugar .... yet they are not healthy ...and are often sick.🤒 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I take a closer look at these people....they are in a chronic stress state and chronic stress can equate to chronic low level inflammation in the body. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A huge component in achieving good health & good health that lasts is activating your relaxation response. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️When you have triggered your relaxation response you have activated your body's ability to self -heal.⭐️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Think about the last time you got sick. Lemme tell you a little not so secretive secret. Everyone has rolls. Everyone has cellulite. Everyone has insecurities of their own bodies that may not be obvious to others but are so painfully obvious to ourselves. For me, that area is my stomach. With have a very short torso compared to how long my legs are, I have always been self conscious of the amount of belly fat I have regardless of how fit I am feeling or what my weight is. And you know what, THAT IS OK. • • People seem to think that we are not allowed to publicly announce our insecurities or to discuss them with others. I love my entire body for how it is now, but ask me a year or two ago and I probably wouldn’t have said the same thing. Embrace your body as it is, “flaws” and all. I probably could have visible abs if I never indulged in the treats that life has to offer, but what kind of life would that be?! I don’t wanna live in a world where I can’t have chocolate 😋• • So instead of hiding behind bulky clothes or specifically posed pictures to hide your insecurities, EMBRACE THEM! I saw this picture and the first thing I noticed of it was my belly rolls. But then I thought to myself, waaaaait a second, what about all my inner and outer strength I remember feeling when having this photo shoot, what about my strong muscles that allow me to do the things I love every day, what about my smile I know I was truly feeling in that moment. I had an epiphany in the shower last night. 🚿 . . Anyone else do their best thinking in there? 😂🙌 show of hands please! . . Anyway, I looked down at my body and remembered: I used to be afraid people would judge me if I gained weight. . . I mean, I’ve gained 20lbs in the past few months and back in the day, I would have totally freaked out and planned my next intense cardio workouts and starvation diet to shed weight- fast. . . I lived in the FEAR state where I thought of all the things people might say if I put on 5, 10, 15, 20 lbs... . •”She must have a really unhealthy diet.” •”She must not exercise enough.” •”She must not care what she looks like.” . . Guys you know what that led me to do? . . •Ignore my hunger signals, and eat way less than my?body needed me to. •Exercise more (even when I hated it) •Over analyze my body and pick on my appearance instead of appreciate it for what it was. •I avoided eating in social situations for fear of “overdoing” it. . . Letting go of these OUTER EXPECTATIONS will absolutely liberate you from the constant stress you may feel about your appearance. It will ALLOW you to enjoy social situations, and not stress about every bite of food you put in your mouth. . . Ultimately, all this stress got me absolutely NOWHERE. So, one day I said. F- YOU food rules! I’m going to eat my cake, and enjoy the crap out of it! . . So I did. I am feeling this way today, perhaps lack of sleep or my emotions are everywhere. I feel a lot is happening in our lives, and sometimes I feel like I am not doing enough or too much. This is mental illness, a constant battle between your mind, body, soul and add the heart - you are just everywhere. But this is okay to feel this way, it is okay to not feel okay. Doesn't make you an bad person, lazy or not good enough. It makes you human, makes you real. I have been on a 6lb loss for two weeks. I almost feel discourage but I remind myself my body lost 6lbs in one single week, that is a lot. To the punch 🥊 Calories are contained in every food source you choose to consume = energy input. You can put on weight eating those foods deemed as 'healthy' and those deemed as 'unhealthy' So the bewilderment of an increase in fat because you are 'eating healthy' can mostly always be attributed to how many calories you are consuming vs how much energy you are expending over a period of time irrespective of the choice. I think the nutritional value that a food choice has vs its caloric value often gets confused by the general public. "Avocado, eggs, beans and granola surely can't be contributing to my weight gain? They are healthy!! " Well yes they will be if you eat enough of them, as these 'healthy' food choices are also relatively high in calories. Granted these choices have a greater nutritional value for your body to maintain its health than say a milk chocolate bar and a packet of crisps. 🤦‍♂️ Your body doesn't differentiate between calories. If you are eating too much of anything and not expending energy, you will put on weight. The End

We do not know the story behind a photograph. . Someone who looks happy and healthy might need you to sit beside them because we cannot see health and happiness. . In the photo on the left I was 33 pounds less than I am on the right (taken 2 days ago), and you’d never be able to tell I was unhealthy, unhappy, and living with a harmful and disordered relationship with food and my body. I didn’t know it was harming to me always be eating with the motivation of making my body smaller. . I used to expect my body to preform on a smaller, restricted diet and drank multiple cups of coffee just to sustain some kind of energy. I was seeing stars by noon which only fed to my worry of “not being thin enough.” . If you are chasing a certain weight or a desired body type in hopes that it will allow you to love yourself, you’ll likely find yourself on a hamster wheel, pushing yourself relentlessly and getting no where. . You cannot diet yourself happy, trust me. I’ve tried. . Why must we have such a strong attachment to having a “perfect” body. Is that health? Does that provide true fulfillment? . Let’s simply embrace our bodies and put emphasis on the things that really matter in this life: creating strong connections with people, spreading love, discovering truths, trying new things, working hard, chasing dreams living with passion, purpose and authenticity. . I still struggle with accepting my body some days. Most days, to be honest. Many women suffer from some kind of hormonal imbalance in this day and age. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This might look like: 🌀Skin problems 🌀Heavy/ irregular periods 🌀Digestion issues and bloating 🌀Insomnia/ sleep problems 🌀Low libido 🌀Fatigue and energy crashes ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Most women will experience symptoms of hormonal imbalance at some point in their lives. However, these symptoms are often overlooked as ‘normal’ because they are so common or seemingly have no specific cause. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, there is a cause. More often than not, hormonal imbalances are caused by excess STRESS. This affects our body via the following mechanisms: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡Stress puts our body into the fight-or-flight mode. Prolonged stress means our body does not spend enough time in ‘rest-and-digest’ mode which is essential for regenerating our bodies and assimilating nutrients from our food. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡The precursors (building blocks) for cortisol, the stress hormone, are the same as for our sex hormones. When more cortisol is made, less is available to make sufficient estrogen and progesterone and thus we get imbalances. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⚡Stress affects our gut and can cause inflammation and digestive issues. Our microbiome (bacteria in our guts) is implicated in the synthesis and metabolism of hormones. When our microbiome or gut lining is compromised, its ability to produce sufficient levels of hormones is also balance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The solution is simple and yet also not so simple: Reduce stress. Yet what does that mean? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My advice to you is: ❗Slow down and make time for what really matters in life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Make small steps. When I first started working out consistently, I heard a lot about “macros”, but I didn’t really understand the importance of them. - I’m going to break it down real quick! - Bottom line is that simply “eating well” isn’t enough. The ratio of macronutrients in your diet matters - it matters A LOT! - There are three macronutrients: protein, carbs, & fat. - The most important of these three when it comes to any goal, is protein. - Protein: 🍗Builds & repairs all cells in your body - muscles, hair/nails, skin, hormones, bones, everything! 🍗By consuming enough protein, you will be able to maintain/increase lean muscle mass. This will in turn ⬆️ your caloric expenditure on a daily basis. More muscle = more calories burned throughout the day. 🍗Eating sufficient amounts of protein will help to prevent the body from breaking down muscle tissue when in a caloric deficit. 🍗A good goal to shoot for is 1g of protein per lb of goal body weight each day 🍗4 calories per gram - Between carbs & fat, it doesn’t really matter if you prefer to eat slightly more of one or the other. What matters most is that you are not overeating them on a daily basis. - Carbs: 🥨Your body’s preferred source of fuel/energy. 🥨Biggest thing here is to look for high-quality carb sources & stay away from simple, processed carbs. (There is one specific time where you want as simple of a carb as possible, but I’ll save that for another day.) 🥨4 calories per gram - Fat: 🥑Fats provide the body with energy. 🥑They allow the body to absorb certain vitamins. 🥑Again, it is important to aim to consume primarily healthy sources of fat & to stay away from saturated & trans fats. 🥑9 calories per gram - I use the My Transphormation app to calculate & track my macros & it has made it such a painless process! - If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to me!

As promised here are the results of the 21 day reset I did. I cut out sugar and processed foods and took a break from working out for 3 weeks just to see how powerful nutrition can be. Well I lost over 12 lbs, several inches and gained a whole new love for food.⁣ ⁣ But the physical changes are just the added bonus. I have kicked the sugar cravings to the curb and the mentality of thinking I needed a treat every time life got stressful (everyday😬)! I have also had zero, yes ZERO pain from my rheumatoid arthritis, where as before some mornings I couldn’t even get out of bed without crying from being in pain. Talk about life changing!💓💓⁣ ⁣ So my goal is to say super dialed in on my nutrition and workouts throughout the holidays with of course the occasional treat, and I want you to join me!!⁣ ⁣ If you are struggling with your relationship with food and those bad sugar cravings like I was. ALL OF IT. i think thats the beauty of what we do as coaches. we get to connect on a higher level with each other, our clients, and those within our community because we are going through similar obstacles. that in turn helps me best guide my ladies. there's days you'll want to quit. there's days you'll think it's not working. But keep PUSHING ON. Today I wanted to throw in the towel when i heard there was a round 4. i powered through because i want to show you we can ALL do hard things. it's not easy, but the feeling of conquering something when you wanted to give up makes it 100% worth it. . . Physical attraction is the goal. And so, well done you! You’ve made it! Another week has passed by, one week closer to being more attractive. Trainings - completed, diet – executed, facial masks – done, shopping for new trendy autumn outfits – succeeded, researching on social media what’s ‘in’ to look good – 150%, but still pending. Physical attraction is what’s most important, right? To be sexy, fit, fashionable and beautiful. Physically. Body, ‘your package’, has to be attractive. You yourself want to feel attractive and also know people found you attractive. You’re convinced physical attraction is the key to your happiness and happy life. This is what you need and it will make you happy. Really? Is it so? Have you ever heard the phrase ‘mentally attractive’? Do you even know what mental attraction is? If so, how important is it to you? Have you ever wondered how mentally attractive are you? Not physically, but mentally. Do you think other people consider you mentally attractive? Is your soul charming? Your brain sexy? And your heart beautiful? Have you ever met a ‘perfect person’, observed him or her for 10 minutes to praise the fashion style, muscles, skin, hairstyle, gadgets, moves, the whole outside image … but then … left feeling bitter and disappointed as soon as the person opened the mouth and the magic was gone? How much time and effort have you put last week to take care of your mental attraction? Do you work on it? How important is it to you? The key to my happiness is gratitude. I don't have unrealistic expectations or think I'm entitled to something special, especially fabulous and for free. I have my goals and I work to achieve them. Every step in the right direction empowers me even more. I don't envy or compare myself to others. I love inspirations and people who show me something new. But I know I'm enough and don't have to copy & paste their lives. It was a good work week. Except for one thing, everything worked out quite ok. Friday 9pm, finally at home. Full of gratitude and positive vibes. Happy to eat simple vegan stew. Life's good! Be grateful.
