Hey Challengers!!! Forgive me for not posting this earlier! I'm trying to get better with using IG more. It's so much better if you can add me on Facebook because I'm very active there and the workout examples are posted there as well. . Today is dedicated to HIIT!!! For those that are newly joining the challenge, every 3rd day of the workout is solely HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Since our body resistance days are primarily focused on muscle isolation with minimum cardio, we want to ensure we're still having a day for cardio. It's important to get your heart rate up during your workouts for maximum results. HIIT is a great way to quickly jump your heart rate up by doing quick intervals within a short period of time (20-60 seconds) . I REALLY enjoyed this workout. For beginners, HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. The purpose of HIIT is to get your Heart Rate (HR) up within a short period of time (usually 20 seconds to a minute) so that you're incorporating cardio in your routine and maximizing your workout results. A few HIIT routines include jumping jacks, burpees, speed skaters, high knees, push ups, etc. . Well, Merry Christmas everyone! Today is the day you test your might. The HIIT workouts may be challenging for some of you, and I strongly advise that you ask for low-intensity (but effective) modified versions so the workouts are soft on your knees. .
