You’re always one decision away from a completely different life. ___ For me, it was the decision to become my own boss. I had no idea how much it could change my life. Now all I see are possibilities and opportunities. I’ve always wanted MORE, more than what a 9-5 job could provide. I wanted a purpose, I wanted to help people. ____ I went from working nights and weekends to creating my own hours. I went from working holidays and only getting 10 days of vacation to having the freedom to work from anywhere in the world. I went from writing someone else’s story to writing my own story. Now I’m helping people become the best version of themselves while I work on becoming the best version of myself. ___ If you’re ready to make your own dreams come true, create your own freedom, live in yoga pants, get in the best shape of your life, and be the happiest you’ve ever been... I have 5 spots available on my team of inspiring, self-driven women! I’m holding a free info session on Nov. 1st. Fill out the form in my bio to get in and learn how you can become your own boss! at Big Sur, California

These minds need peace. Peace from the swarming world around. They need love. Shown kind words, affirmations and light. And ‘light’ because there will always be dark moments in our lives but some people live in the dark more than I can even comprehend. My thought used to be that light could balance out the dark, but to be honest maybe sometimes it can’t. Most of all These minds need to know that they are not alone. We are never alone. I just want you to know your smile, your ‘hello’ can make such a difference in someone else’s world, so never stop being human, being kind. Ever so grateful for my mind and body today and everyday, because of both I am able to walk this ground. 🙏🏽✨🐾 Let’s not take this time, this place for granted...ever, nor the power of the light we all have within.💡🌷 at Big Sur, California

I guess I just want to say today I feel a little lost.✨💨🍁 Wanting to share because I think this is a ‘normal’ process. So we start out on this brand new hike. We don’t know where the top is. You can imagine what it’s like... What it will feel like ‘to get there’ On the way up...you run into things, sometimes literally. Steep parts, where life is hurting moving slow. Level areas where you are just overjoyed with the ease of step, ease of life. ‘Doors close’...paths end abruptly in the direction you were going & even take you in completely different areas, sometimes in sharp ways...it can take a bit to get re-oriented. We may even need to go back & retrace our steps if the new way ‘doesn’t feel right.’ _____________________________________ I have been reflecting on my ‘desires’ in terms of career...life goals, kind of psyching myself out that they are not enough of a ‘solid plan’. Kind of falling into the hole of feeling like I need to have a successful career that I thrive in by a certain age, this kind of life...the blah blah blah. And then by writing this out I realize that this hike is my own unique path, not to compare....hoping you can find peace with the message. I’m not supposed to know what the top looks like yet. I am holding the promise to myself to wake up everyday excited to work...to take steps to that beautiful summit. How could it not be beautiful right? I want to create the journey, experience the surprises. When you break down the steps and actually look up there is SO MUCH appreciation for the even the tiniest of details, of progress. We are feelin’ it all. The journey up, the present moment...just refocus, reflect, take your actions, you must have faith to know when it’s right, when it’s simple. And if you are still building that faith In Self...that my friend is a journey in of it’s own. Reminding you it’s okay to not know, just promise yourself🙏🏽✨☄️ at Big Sur, California

Sometimes it’s as simple as focusing on the step...one foot in front of the other. Create the responsibility. Do you ever feel like you just don’t know what to do next? Make it tangible...make it so you can see yourself in that very place. Even if you take the smallest step toward an ambition...even if you are pausing to assess, but still standing ready to work towards that goal. Ambitions are what will turn a stagnant time to a time of fluidity. For me...working towards a goal that is emotionally satisfying is just as important as the physical, somedays more. I’ve cried under barbells, laughed at myself on hikes & that is where I know the magic is happening...bringing out those parts of you, all the feels. I think that understanding the progress...even the tiny bits is what will keep you visualizing what you want to create. Remember to give yourself that reward for progression. This hike was a reward...or more so reaching the top was the reward because I had the visual of the feeling and the physical image of the top crystal clear in my head. Maybe what is needed is to re-evaluate those ‘goals’ to make sure that what you are seeking truly does serve you. ‘Grant your own wishes every time you achieve another goal.’ May you Turn Those Daydreams into Reality this week...one baby step at a time💗 at Big Sur, California

Sunrise Salutation in my Flower Suit🙏🏼 You don’t always need to talk it out. These inner conversations don’t require much, just your focus. I think the key is the focus. Hiking is my tool to get to this focus...moving is my tool (but hiking is where the love started). Hiking out here...it makes you feel so very small. Small in the sense of we are sleeping under the Milky Way right now and there is just SO much beyond. Small in the sense of my ‘battles’ are now able to be taken into account...as I find myself going from gazing at the vastness around me, down to watching my dusty feet step one after the other. Small in the sense that I can realize my breath is the only thing I want control over in this moment. The act of hiking is something I love to do with anyone, but I am able to truly enjoy the process while with my closest friends. The ones that understand this is a personal journey...but I am blessed beyond belief that I have you on this trail with me. Hiking, our own paces, our own breaths...not even needing to say a word, understanding more and more.👣 ♥️ @fitandflexy_#healthwhannah #bodybeforeboys at Big Sur, California

Tonight I am beginning my 2nd week of Yoga Teacher Training...✨ My idea of yoga & meditation have already changed. Yoga is different for everyone & every body...and you may never know what brings someone to the mat. Flexibility, the actual ‘poses’ are only the tip of the iceberg. I was demonstrating to my classmates a plank position and then a rounded spine...two things I felt I could easily do, but I was SO off. What felt right to me in my body was really not even aligned. Typically I may have been embarrassed, but instead I was excited to learn, almost screaming ‘fix me!’ so I can feel the right way. I first practiced yoga for the physical benefits because I had always been ‘hard’ on my body with how I moved. That first step brought me to feel. Your heels may never touch the ground in a downward dog because of your unique anatomy and that is okay! This journey is personalized and your style is 100% up to you. ________________________________ I realized after some time I was also ‘hard on’ my mind...there was no space just as there had originally felt to be none in my body. Negative self-talk, mixed with limiting beliefs and just a jumbled loud mess. Meditation through practicing yoga is what brought me back...calming the fluctuations in my headspace. From there I was eventually able to sit and meditate and then, just recently, chant and meditate...for a whole 25 minutes. Just so you know, the mind is never going to go completely quiet (if that has ever been explained to you as ‘the goal’).🙃 There is science, proven benefits and so much potential growth in spirituality with both meditation and yoga. Let’s work on creating and learning this deep connection with spirituality, because this journey is far too beautiful to not dive in...there is always more. ♥️🙏🏼 at Big Sur, California

@healthwhannah

I know it can feel like you’re carrying a lot of weight. How do you react to the load? There may be so damn much to carry...but have you looked up? Looked outside just the weight? Have you thought to yourself...this backpack with this weight and this journey are my responsibility and I am up to the challenge. Sure sometimes you want to rip that big backpack off and throw it out into the clouds walking blissfully and lightly without it....but then how would you survive the beautiful journey to the top? How would you progress in life if you threw away the (heavy) supplies you were given to help you reach your fullest potential because of the limiting belief ‘I don’t think I can carry this’ ?! That weight in the backpack was chosen for you my dear...because you ARE capable of carrying it to the top, because this backpack will make you stronger. That backpack of ‘burdens’ will turn into a bag of ‘lessons’ making you feel so accomplished once you take a look up, take a breath in and take a look at the beauty surrounding you. My soul was needing this reminder today so I hope it can help you🙏🏼✨ at Big Sur, California

Building Layers Around This Soft Heart🙏🏼 Loss is something we all face. I never seem to be ‘ready’ for it. These vessels that carry our spirits seem to have so much weight when they are gone. Loss, death they are part of this crazy web, forcing us to get comfortable the longer we walk this earth. I’ve been looking at loss in the eyes a lot lately and have been trying to find the ‘because’ versus the ‘why’. This journey is not our plan. We were blessed with emotions and feelings that allow us to come together with empathy, with understanding. These souls that leave in a way that feels like a ‘rip or a tear’ they are the strong lessons in your life, meant for that time in your life, meant to fly away even before they were born. Being here, walking, feeling...being able to open your heart, these are gifts to never take advantage of. This plan doesn’t always seem like what we want...but we don’t know the big picture, we don’t know the ending. We can be sure that these people that we ‘lost’ are still with us, smiling and watching us stumble, hurt, love, laugh...cheering us on to LIVE and appreciate to the fullest. Be the light & Stay Golden 🙏🏼✨ at Carmel, California

@healthwhannah

Treating Your Whole Self 🙏🏼♥️ You can’t just focus on the physical. The mental, the spiritual they are all connected. Swollen glands can signal you are going through a period of emotional cleansing, a pimple may indicate your body needs to rid itself of toxins & old energy, worry is held in the stomach. Ongoing stress, sadness, anxiety, etc. can overwhelm the self so much that traumatic energy is channeled into the body. The body then responds by taking steps to organically dispel that heavy energy & often by means of physical symptoms. The physical won’t last without the mental either. You can work on ‘health’ for weeks, months at a time but it’s your mind that will be the one to keep you going. Wellness in mentality has such intense impacts on our body as a whole. Your “suit” may look good but how does the internal look? It’s not going to be a quick process, you may have to suck years of poisonous thinking out. Clearing out energy should be a nurturing act...as cutting a cord releases you from energy that is no longer serving you. Set yourself free from the ties that bind so that you find the strength to create wellness in the entire self. Go deeper...because what’s inside will shine through.✨ at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park

Big Sur delivered today. Sweeping vistas, fields of wildflowers, waves crashing below the cliffs, 1400ft incline in a mile(ish). And so much poison oak. I worked really hard for #hike40of52 today. 👣I was a hiking guide in Big Sur a few years ago...definitely one of my most favorite jobs thus far🌱 Learning about the land that I view as oh so sacred, gave me a deep appreciation for Mother Nature’s power...coming from Little ol’ Cape Cod where there are no Coastal Redwoods & an entirely different terrain all together.🙏🏼 One of the cool parts about being a hiking guide was that I learned about some of the native plants edible/medicinal properties. ☘️Redwood Sorrel, for example, is a bright green shamrock looking plant that carpets the bottom of our Coastal Redwoods. It’s leaves are edible...tasting like a green apple.🍏 Pretty Stoked that the Big Sur Mudslide will be cleared for access this month...adventures & healthy tips to come ✨🙌🏼💕 at Big Sur, California

Hiking California continues today with a gorgeous walk around the beaches of Big Sur and then a drive 🚙 across the famous Bixby Bridge and onwards to the coast of Carmel by the Sea 🌊 (which the baby slept through all of). We’ve tried to plan all our longer drives during nap time which has mostly worked out thankfully. Then we soothed our tired selves with the most delicious ice cream from @carmel_bakery and I fell asleep before 9. #itsvacationtime . . . #hikebigsur #bigsurcali #pfeifferbeach #roadtripswithkids #havetoddlerwilltravel #californiaroadtrip2018 #californiahereweare #californiahereicome #carmelbythesea #carmelbakery #bixbybridge #bixbybridgebigsur at Big Sur, California
