Well the RSMA 6 week challenge is officially over! I failed on the paleo, but I still managed to increase my reps on push ups, sit ups, burpees & squats by 10-26 more! I also dropped nearly 10lbs and went from 20% body fat to 14%! I’m still gonna push and challenge myself, but that was fun! El problema no es la fruta, sino cómo la comemos y las combinaciones que hacemos. . El mundo del estudio de la combinación de alimentos se llama Trofología. La teoría se basa en que diferentes grupos de alimentos necesitan distintos tiempos de digestión, y requieren de diferente tipo de enzimas y ambientes para su correcta digestión. Si combinamos alimentos que pertenecen a distintos grupos, podemos estar impidiendo la digestión, generando fermentación, gases, cólicos, etc. . Respecto a la la combinación de las frutas entre sí, las leyes de la trofología son: 🌱 Los melones siempre solos. Son pura agua y son tan apropiados para el consumo humano que prácticamente no requieren digestión en el estómago; pasan directo al intestino delgado. Pero claro, esto solo puede suceder si tenemos el estómago vacío 🌱 No combinar frutas ácidas con frutas dulces. 🌱 Cada categoría consigo misma está bien. Aclaración: tomamos como referencia la clasificación de Daniel Reid en el libro "El Tao de la Salud, el Sexo y la Buena Vida". No Bake - Superfood Anytime Balls 💕 Recipe: 1/2 c gluten free oats 3/4 c pitted dates, soak in hot water for 20 mins, then drain 3/4 c pecans, cashews & sliced almonds 3/4 c dried cranberries 1/4 c raw sunflower seeds 1 tbsp chia seeds 1 tbsp hemp seeds 2 tbsp fresh ground flax seeds 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon In a food processor, combine the drained dates and nuts until all is ground. Add remaining ingredients and it should be sticky. If too dry add water. If too sticky add more oats or more ground flax seeds. Make the balls. Refrigerate and snag when you want a snack or after a workout. All. The. Superfoods. It matters which dates you use. Don’t buy cheap dry dates. From my experience, Hadley (Costco), Medjool (most good groceries), or Bahri (if you can find💕) *These are better than the other batches I’ve made. Sweet from the cranberries and dates (Hadley). Post 3-6-9 liver detox protocol and I’m doing pretty good, although I’m allowing myself to splurge a little! It is the holidays for heaven’s sake! Made some coconut oil “body lotion” to take with me on my trip! I debated for a while how I was going to take it with me because I try to use glass jars for everything, but they can be heavy. I found these little containers at Superstore and it’s the perfect size! I add frankincense, peppermint and lavender to the coconut oil. As well as some avocado oil. I find the avocado makes it easier to rub on your body. Frankincense is great for your skin. Lavender seems to help with my allergies 🤷‍♀️ and peppermint smells amazing! Coconut Lime Spicy Asian Soup 🍜This stuff is everything I love in 1 bowl! It tastes exactly like the spicy coconut soup youd get at a #sushi restaurant 😍 Its the perfect light meal for during the holidays when you dont want to eat anymore heavy food 😝 . Por lo general no suelo comprar procesados (aunque sean ecológicos) del tipo burgers, salchichas o quesos vegetales y esas cosas. Recuerda, vegano NO es siempre sinónimo de sano, hay mucha confusión con este tema☝🏼 Aún así, si se come una vez, de vez en cuando, no pasa nada, eso sí, trata de que sea ecológico y por lo menos te aseguras de que no te estás comiendo cualquier chatarra; por otro lado el #tempeh es una buena fuente de proteínas de calidad y siendo un alimento que se obtiene a través de la fermentación (habas de soja, agua y fermentos Rhizopus) es bastante digerible. Una cosa es basar tu dieta en procesados y otra cosa es ingerir buenos procesados esporádicamente (así como si te tomas una cerveza cada dos meses, eso no hace de ti un alcohólico anónimo) 😅 . . Hay que escuchar lo que nos pide el cuerpo, él es sabio. . I’ve had some people ask me what I put in my smoothies.... well it’s lots. But if you can get it all in one, might as well!! Here’s my “smoothie station”. On a regular day I put: Berries (any, I love berries) Handful spinach 2 scoops Arbonne Protein 1 scoop fiber (once a day) 1 scoop greens (once a day) Bit of Hemp or Coconut Oil Hemp Hearts Chia seeds (sometimes) Drop of Vitamin D (because it’s DARK here) Teaspoonish of Maca Scoop Collogen 1/2 water 1/2 coconut milk BLEND! You can basically add whatever you like. There are so many combinations! I do like myself a good Pumpkin Pie or Carrot Cake smoothie 🤤 I like to add as much as I can into it so that I get my shot of healthy stuff all in one! #Repost @strongwithcyd Veggie coconut curry 🥥🌱 I had to bring this dish to heavenly life because it was just that good. . ✔️Super high protein ✔️Very inexpensive ✔️Meal prep friendly ✔️Nutrient dense ✔️Cook time 40 mins or less SAVE for a healthy, plant-based, wholesome & wellness infused meal experience. I used a local vegan coconut sauce blend from @eastindiacompanyrestaurants and it was SUPER delicious. (No promo just really loved it). . 🌱INGREDIENTS🌱 • 1 Can Organic Coconut milk • 1 Organic Sprouted Extra Firm Tofu • 2 cups of Organic Green Peas • 1/2 sweet potato or butternut squash • 1 medium onion sliced finely • 3 crushed garlic cloves • 1 yellow or red pepper chopped in cubes • optional: 6 cups of kale or spinach . 🌱INSTRUCTIONS 🌱 1. In a large sauce pan, add in 3 tbsp if EVOO over medium heat. Add in three crush garlic cloves and stir. 2. Cut tofu into small cubes and marinate with cumin, paprika, fresh thyme, a little lime or lemon zest, sea salt and black pepper. 2. After 2 minutes, add in tofu faced down. Allow to cook until it is brown and then flip each cube to the other side. Once completely brown, remove tofu and set aside. 3. Add in your onions, peppers, squash/sweet potato and kale. Add in sea salt. 4. Add in coconut milk whisked together with 1 tbsp of crushed ginger, curry powder and 1/2 tbsp of turmeric (or sauce) and allow it to simmer for 10 minutes. 5. Add tofu back in and cover to simmer over low heat for 15-20 minutes. You can eat it alone or over rice. Here I have organic long grain basmati rice! I started this because i needed a creative outlet while my life was shifting before i started my own clothing line. As you can see, that wasn’t my path at all!
