This AM #sweatsesh at @white_oaks consisted of #legs, #core and #cardio!! . The video shows the middle circuit we did. It went as follows: ➑️ all on the right leg, then all on the left ➑️ 20 of each, 15 of each, 10 of each and 5 of each β–ͺ️ Step ups with knee raise β–ͺ️ One leg dead lifts β–ͺ️ Pistol squats β–ͺ️ Glute Raises β–ͺ️ One leg hops βœ”οΈ do each exercise on each leg, 20 times. Then go back to the first ex and do 15 on each leg ... continue βœ”οΈ complete for time! . A couple notes: πŸ“ as always I’m doing this at the end of the workout. My legs are usually straight during deadlifts but apparently not today #holyhammies πŸ“ my pistol form is not awesome. I work on them, but I totally use the bench as a crutch because I want to get low and activate my glutes and I’m just not quite strong enough (yet) to get that low without the bench πŸ“ video is sped up for Instagram purposes πŸ˜ƒ . I haven't gone to the gym in over a week. Came back today. Told myself I would do Murph today. Gave myself a 60 min cap. Told myself I was gunna be all cute in my Marine shirt. Wanted to quit in the third round. Took my shirt off. Wanted to quit in the 5th round. Swore A LOT. Wanted to quit at the 8th round. I told myself I better not. I'm not sure who Mr. Needs-No-Sleep belongs to because he's always been that kid that's up at the crack of dawn, never needs a nap and can go to bed late. Buuuttt anyway! Time to get some PD in while I drink my preworkout. Its gonna be a busy day!! Let's do this!

This move has been HARD for me and today I felt like I really mastered it!!! Hamstring curl to a bridge! Seems easy enough but it works this upper hamstrings and booty!!!! *Start by placing your hands under your booty and your feet in sliders or plates. *Slide both heels into your bum while lifting up into a bridge at the top!!! -to modify just slide one leg in at a time staying in that high bridge, alternate legs Do 10!! You know... from being in Atlanta for a long weekend, spending time with family eating OFF of a meal plan, taking an extra day off from working out... I kept telling myself that I would NOT feel guilty and that the day I got home it was go time again. πŸ’ƒπŸΌ β€’ Old school Kat wouldn't even think about something like that... I would be so engulfed with GUILT that I would let the light completely disappear. But a few things I've learned... πŸ‘ˆπŸΌ β€’ 1) the compound effect works both ways... just like a few workouts won't give me abs, a few meals off plan won't cause me to lose all of the results I've gotten so far. ☺️ β€’ 2) Guilt creates stress and when we are stressed our bodies are creating a hormone called cortisol that actually causes our bodies to hold onto weight and make the process that much harder. πŸ€“ β€’ YUP!! Our stresses can contribute to how our bodies work.. crazy right? πŸ€” β€’ So needless to say- my weekend was one of the most fun filled weekends with great friends and family.. we laughed. We ate. And we lived. 🀘🏼 β€’ Today- I ate on my plan. I worked leg day like an absolute boss.
