Shoulders with GBO Pro Lisa Somers. When you have to make changes to your body you have to push the limits of what your scared of in the gym. Be it the pain or the heavy ass weight or both. You lift Justin Beiber weight your going to look like Justin Beiber. Break your limits, push through, there will definitely be pain, but that's where you earn your gains. No fancy workouts just hard and heavy basics. Right now we are putting on some really good size on Lisas frame. I have a goal in mind for her that we must reach before we pick her pro debut. The plan is to make that debut at the GBO Storm Classic but first we must fill out her frame with some lean muscle in the right areas to get that X-frame and 3d look to her muscularity. So far so good but it's a week by week process right now.

Despite not SEEING changes where you expect them to be, doesn’t mean you’re not progressing. ⁣ ⁣ You can’t be better until you stop chasing someone else’s “perfection”⁣ ⁣ 🌸 Everybody’s body are made up differently - what worked for Sarah doesn’t mean it will work for you. You will keep getting frustrated and upset if you keep expecting your body imagine to be the same as someone else’s.⁣ ⁣ 🌸 The scale didn’t budge and that’s ok, just because you didn’t SEE the number changing doesn’t mean your body isn’t changing. Do you feel stronger this week? Does your clothes fit a little better this week? How are your energy levels?⁣ ⁣ 🌸 Count the things they DO matter. Has your mental health improved since working out? Do you find yourself sleeping better and having more energy to play with your kids? The fact you can walk 20 mins without being gassed is HUGE.⁣ ⁣ 🌸 Stop talking negative about yourself. The more you tell yourself you can’t do something, the harder it will begin to feel. Start each morning with a grateful heart and learn to accept things the way they are. ⁣ ⁣ The thing we need to realize is the only outcomes and reactions were in control of is our own!! Reversed progress? . . . Have you ever worked hard to achieve something …..only to lose it all ? This happened when I stopped making my goals and self care a priority . I abandoned my self care routines such as journaling, practicing gratitude, manifesting routines and most importantly my nutrition. Severely under eating Protein. I could see it reflect on my strength and body all due to a lot of stress in my life. My mindset went to shit almost back to my toxic patterns & way of thinking. Worst part... I was aware and consciously watching it all happen . It scared me .To the point I knew serious changes had to be made. Well ,we will all fall down and go through obstacles. Quadruplex Glute Activation: This one is incredibly difficult and burns your glutes! For progression and regressions, DM us! . . Set up: 1.) find an empty wall space and get into a four-point position (hands and knees). 2.) Straighten your leg that is closest to the wall and keep your foot pointed. 3.). Keep your knee "locked" straight by tightening your quad muscles. This needs to be maintained the entire time 4.) Draw-in by pulling your lower ab muscles away from your waist line. This also needs to be maintained the entire time. 5.). Raise your body off the floor so your opposite leg (not by the wall) is a few inches off the floor. 6.) press your leg into the wall and raise the leg at the same time. (The leg that is against the wall) 7.) hold for 2 seconds at the top and return back. It should take 4 seconds as you lower back down. . . Tips: Keep your hip and shoulder against the wall. Maintain a neutral spine, there should be no excessive curve or rounding of your back. Press your arms into the floor and keep your shoulder blades pulled down towards your hips slightly. . . This is a very advanced exercise. Incredibly challenging but a fantastic Glute activating technique. GOOD MORNING 🌞 . 2 weeks ago I was graduating college in the back yard lol wearing my cap and gown and having my mind spin in so many different directions. . Although I still don’t have it ALL figured out, in those 2 weeks I have started a real estate internship/shadowing experience(virtually so grateful for technology), started working on a coaching program (limited spots/launching soon/stay tuned), and have done lots of wedding & moving planning. . In these 2 weeks I’ve stayed productive but have also allowed myself to not be in “go,go,go” mode 24/7. I’ve made more time to catch up with friends over the phone/FaceTime, started baking, posting more on tik tok, and have really focused on my stress levels and overall happiness🧘🏻 . Personally reflecting on these 2 weeks, I’m STOKED by the progress I’ve made. I’ve been able to expand my network and gain such amazing learning experiences. . No matter what stage of your life you are at right now, have you checked in with yourself? Prioritizing mental and physical health? Tried something new? Smiled more? Strengthened relationships? Done something you wanted to do because you felt like it? .
