We found out a few hours ago that Greg was (finally) approved to be a permanent resident of the United States. That being said, the past year and a half have been a never ending state of stress, worry, and anxiety. We’ve spent thousands of dollars on hundreds of pages of paperwork, been on hold for hours on end, emailed, mailed and scanned every type of document imaginable to prove that my husband is the kind of person that should stay here. I didn’t really have a super strong opinion about immigration before being married to Greg, but our experience with the green card has been eye opening. Something needs to change, this process shouldn’t be this incredibly hard. I’m grateful for our outcome, glad that for the foreseeable future we don’t need to worry, we don’t need to stay up late talking about what to do if we were separated, about what our future would look like if this didn’t work out. No family should ever have to have the conversations we’ve had. Now, more than ever, I’m grateful for my little family, for the friends and family that supported us on this journey, and that families are forever. • • • • • #alittledashofeverything #shibutafamily #mommyblogger #immigration #immigrationreform #greencard #mixedfamily #brazil #us #florida #familiesareforever

Just got this approval🙏🏻Sooooo happy for this couple. Our client entered the US in 1966! He’s been living in the U.S for all these years without any status. He came to our office with his lovely wife who told us his story. I told them his case will be extremely complex but we can do it. This was one of the most complex cases we dealt with because of so many issues I can’t get into. Bottom line, we just received the approval and he truly deserves it🙏🏻If it was up to me I would just give him his citizenship 💁‍♀️our office has a 100% approval rate on all registry cases 🙏🏻🧿 #immigration #immigrationlawyer #immigrationattorney #removaldefense #stopdeportations #immigrantsmakeamericagreat I’m getting better at doing the actual hashtags 😉 #blessed #grateful

I saw a story today. It was about American activist Scott Warren, charged with felony charges of harboring for providing water and food to Latinx migrants along the Arizona-Mexico border. (Full story in our Facebook group, link in bio). In the comments, I read a man advocating for his imprisonment, throwing in that ubiquitous line about migrants, "if they didn't want to be put in prison, they shouldn't have come here." When someone asked, "Who are you?" The man replied, "A real American." We've all read these comments. You may even know some "real Americans". But I want to be clear: though we may be tempted to hate or disgrace this man, that is not what we are here to do. @peacemadepublic is a thinking space. Which made me think of this quote by Howard Zinn. Howard Zinn worked in the realm of justice, where there are two sides - victim and executioner, guilty and not guilty, justice and injustice. Peace, a cousin of justice, take a different tack. It is where the thinking person who refuses to take sides, finds home. In this community, we will learn a lot. And as peace advocates, our feelings run strong. But our work and our education starts with balancing our hearts with our minds. It is then and only then that peace can have a chance. Do you have a question about cultivating peace within conflict? We are here to support you. Type your question or comment below. We're in this together.

-eng + русский- To me living to the fullest, worries free begins with getting to know me, what I want, what I like, what I can bring into this world to make it a tiny bit better. Aristotle said “To know yourself is the beginning of wisdom”. If I were to describe myself TODAY in 10 words, they would be: free, music, intention, dreamer, order, ocean, wind, loyalty, quality, responsibility. As atoms move, these words may change, I may change and that’s okay, that’s life. It’s never static. Now it’s your turn! I’d like to know what words describe you today 👌🏻 As an exercice, practice this every day for 30 days to see which things change, which things stay. What does it tell you about yourself? #findyourself #you #hiking #freecoaching #motivation #nature #washington #immigration #russianamerica #inspiration #stepbystep #selflove #anxiety #antianxiety #lifecoach #ocean #sunshine #happyheart #happy #lifeiseasy #everystepcounts #seattle

Repost @tariqelite • • • • • • This is Rep. Yvette Clarke (who is JAMAICAN btw) of the Congressional Butter Biscuit Caucus, basically saying Foundational Black #Americans who built this country and descended from American slavery, should be ignored, and the focus should be on IMMIGRANTS. Rep.Clarke is also a part of Caricom and that organization advocates reparations for CARIBBEANS, and she would never speak against reparations for Jamaicans. I cannot stress how useless the #CBC is to #ADOS society. They are actively AGAINST Black American society and they do everything they can to undermine us. I challenge anyone to name one single solitary thing the CBC has done for Black Americans? I am not playing with this shit I am going to say next. Immigration is largely a Latinx issue because they be the ones coming breaking the law the most. This is not the same as saying most Latinx came or come here illegally, but it is to say immigration for many racial and political reasons we too pussy or don't know to talk about is a majorly Latinx issue which was done to undermine the Black community (mostly ADOS.) The Latin Americans were largely brought and basically ushered into cities and communities founded by Blacks. They weren't the only ones either like East Asians and Middle Eastern/Indians they had hoped would help with that, as well as their secret weapon, Black/African immigrants from Africa and Mesoamerica, etc. of which I descend from whom were instructed and trained to not fuck with Black Americans. Every immigrant group has SURPASSED the ADOS or pre-existing to the 1965 Immigration bill that opened the floodgates for non-European immigration. That timing wasn't coincidental and the government knew it could count on immigration to help. Recall the communities and cities I said that were founded by Blacks were Los Angeles and Miami for example and go see what immigration, as well as shit like White flight, DECIMATED these areas and it was because Blacks were too damn welcoming and saw until it was too late that them Latinx and Asians were getting them DAFUQ out of here on their own blocks and the only Blacks rising were immigrants 🥺👱🏼‍♀ #themoreyouknow🌈

The newest episode of the show was a unique project that was do much fun to create. For the first time we created an English/Spanish episode discussing crossing the border between Mexico and the United States. Our guest tells us her story of when she crossed the border at 15 years old to be reunited with her mother. She is now married, buying a home and living the "American Dream" Thank you to my beautiful wife @amariilla22_ for helping me translate the episode and conducting the interview in Spanish. If you would like to listen to the story in Spanish please fast forward to the 40 minute mark!! #podcast #interview #immigration #bordwr #politics #ice #deportation #followforfollowback #Subscribe #podcastaddict #podcastlovers

📚 Review: ⁣ Dreamers by Yuyi Morales⁣ All of us have stories. Each of them is different. This is the story of Yuyi. Beautifully written and and even more beautiful are the illustrations. This book is a dedication of sorts which unfolds into her amazing journey as she learns a new language, learns to understand and be understood. ⁣ ⁣ My favorite quote:⁣ Someday we will become something we haven’t even yet imagined. ⁣ But right now...⁣ We are stories.⁣ We are two languages. ⁣ We are lucha.⁣ We are resilience. ⁣ We are hope.⁣ ⁣ We are dreamers, soñadores of the world. ⁣ ⁣ How to use it in the classroom:⁣ Some books are simply great to read aloud. This one so much more. There is so much richness in this book that depending on the age can be used in many different ways. ⁣ ⁣ The art...in and itself brings to light the richness of culture and the trades which are passed on from generation. ⁣ Her art tells her story. Her illustrations represent so much more. I am intrigued by the symbolism her art portrays. She has a great video on @holidayhousebks and many more on YouTube and Facebook. Listening to her talk about this book is inspiring and truly shows her passion for creating, writing, learning and living. ⁣ ⁣ A discussion can go in a number of ways depending on the age of students as well. Students can discuss her journey, how she changes through this journey and her journey as an immigrant. The title Dreamers has a different meaning than DREAMers for her, which is a great discussion topic as well. ⁣ ⁣ This is a beautiful book which celebrates what immigrants bring to a new country. A must read! #dreamers #immigration #immigrants #culture #allarewelcome #femininepower #symbolism #wearealldreamers #booktalk #bookreview #culturalbooks #multiculturalbooks #childrensbooks #holidayhouse

Every day, people are forced to give up everything they have because of these health issues. Whether a diabetic can’t afford insulin, a cancer patient can’t afford treatment, or a workplace accident renders someone unfit to work, the government should provide for them (before they have to lose all their material assets). America’s health system is unjust. There shouldn’t be a two-tier system. Rand Paul, who opposes universal healthcare in the US, flew up to Canada for a surgery (and, even including the flight, the procedure was significantly cheaper). Insurance companies and lobbyists shouldn’t be writing these bills. (Note: I did read the article, but this headline was more concise). ~ ~ ~ #politigram #socialism #capitalism #latestagecapitalism #freemarket #anarchism #conservative #liberal #chapotraphouse #maga #trump #economy #minimumwage #communism #immigration #revolution #livingwage #bernie2020 #berniesanders #medicare #medicareforall #bankruptcy #obamacare #trumpcare

SUCCESSFUL UPGRADE FROM EB3 VISA TO EB2 VISA Mr. Zhao was anxious about his H-1B visa nearing expiration and the prospect of possibly moving to a new division of the company. Mr. Carter had his EB-3 visa approved years earlier, and he’d been waiting for his priority date to become current so he could apply for his green card. Tsang and Associates knew from experience that EB-2 visa priority dates were moving faster than EB-3 visas. After researching Mr. Zhao’s case, the firm concluded that the pharmacist also qualified for the faster EB-2 visa. The firm gathered the documents from Mr. Zhao’s EB-3 file to make the process as smooth as possible for him and his sponsoring employer. Within two weeks, the firm had prepared all the forms, attorney brief, employer letter, and supporting documents and filed for the petition with the United States Customs and Immigration Service (USCIS). T&A filed for premium processing would allow for a quicker decision. A short time later, USCIS sent a Request for Evidence (RFE) asking for clarification on his Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN). Within a week Tsang and Associates responded to the RFE with a revised package explaining the FEIN confusion but also included further documentation covering his job responsibilities and the company’s ability to pay his salary. Within a week of filing the response to the RFE, Mr. Zhao received approval for his EB-2 visa. Due to the premium processing and timely responses by Tsang and Associates, the entire process from the initial consultation, to submitting the upgrade petition, filing for premium processing twice, and responding to the request for evidence to the actual approval only took a total of two months. #laywer #attorney #lawfirm #unitedstateslaw #immigration #immigrationlaw #international #success #story #legal #usa #news #tsangslaw #law #professional #lawlife #lawyerstyle #attorneylife #uslawchina #workingvisa #eb2 #eb3 #h1b #americadream #workinginstates
