One only needs to walk by the hundreds of Mughal monuments in India to notice and appreciate the sheer symmetry of their architecture. The Mughals were extremely meticulous with their measurements and lines so as to always make their infrastructure geometrical marvels. They had so many more measuring instruments such as rulers and measuring units unlike our simple Cm’s and Inches. They were masters at this form of art and it shows. If one ever wants to take a pretty picture of a Mughal monument, always look for the converging lines.

A weekend walk to Safdarjung Tomb...😊 . Sadarjung Tomb : The structure was constructed in 1754 in the late Mughal Empire style Safdarjung. Mirza Muqim Abul Mansur Khan, who was popularly known as Safadarjung, who ruled over Awadh was an independent ruler of Awadh as viceroy of Muhammad Shah.He was very rich and most powerful. With the death of Emperor Muhammad Shah of Mughal Empire, he moved to Delhi. When Mohammed Shah Ahmed Shah ascended the throne of the Mughal Empire in Delhi in 1748, Safdarjung was made the Prime Minister (Vazir) of the empire with the title of Vazir ul-Mamalk-i-Hindustan and at that time the empire was on decline as their rule extended only to North India. As Vazir he usurped all powers under his control as the king was only a puppet, a figurehead, who was into enjoying life with wine, opium and women. But his control over the emperor’s family was so cruel that the emperor called the Marathas to rid of their Vazir. The Marathas drove Safdarjung out of Delhi in 1753. He died soon thereafter in 1754. After his death his son Nawab Shujaud Daula pleaded with the Mughal Emperor to permit him to erect a tomb for his father in Delhi. He then built the tomb, which was designed by an Abhysinnian architect. (Source: Wikipedia) . PC : #ghumakkad_bawra ©️®️ . The Bibi Ka Maqbara (English: "Tomb of the Lady) is a tomb located in Aurangabad. It was commissioned in 1660 by Aurangzeb in the memory of his first and chief wife (posthumously known as Rabia-ud-Daurani) and is considered to be a symbol of Aurangzeb's conjugal fidelity. It bears a striking resemblance to Taj Mahal. @stikneo @amateursalbum @raw_mobile_ #igers #instaclick📷 #instagood #mypixeldiaries #justgoshoot #travelgram #bibikamaqbara #storiesofindia #incredibleindia🇮🇳 #incredibleindia #natgeotravel #natgeotravelpics #natgeoindiatraveller #natgeoindia #natgeotravels #natgeotravelstories #indiaincredible #travelgrammer #travelgrammers #aurangabad_ig #perpetually_naive #muslimart #indianmonuments #mughalarchitecture #mughalart #natgeomyshot #natgeoyourshots #natgeoexplorer #mobilephotographyindia #mobilephotography📱

Tughlaqabad Fort is a ruined fort in Delhi, built by Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq, the founder of Tughlaq dynasty, of the Delhi Sultanate of India in 1321, as he established the historic city of Delhi, which was later abandoned in 1327. According to legend, the death of Ghiyath al-Din, and the abandonment of his capital were the results of a curse. The sultan is said to have been involved in a quarrel with a Sufi mystic by the name of Nizam-ud-din. The latter is said to have wanted to build a step well, and the former is said to have forbidden his people from helping the mystic. This angered the mystic, who prophesized that the sultan would die whilst away from Delhi. Additionally, Nizam-ud-din remarked that Tughlaqabad Fort would either remain deserted or be inhabited by people of the Gujjar tribe. It seems that both of the mystic’s curses came true. The fort also lends its name to the nearby Tughlaqabad residential-commercial area as well as the Tughlaqabad Institutional Area. Appreciation Post : Badami Badami was the capital of erstwhile Chalukya dynasty of Southern India. It was one of the most prosperous and culturally rich city..Almost 1200 years ago. Back then, it was known as Vatapi. Currently the entire Badami-Aihole-Pattadakal circuit in North Central Karnataka is part of UNESCO world heritage site. Off the beaten track, but one of the best heritage sites I had the opportunity to visit. #heritage #architecture #history #india #karnataka #badami #hampi #karnatakatourism #natgeo #natgeotravellerindia #nikon #unesco #worldheritage #indianhistory #_woi #photo_pond #photooftheday #travelgram #fort #castle #temple #indianmonuments #historychannel #beautifuldestinations #memories

Statue of Unity... World's tallest Statue at 182 meters. Since time immemorial, architecture and monuments have given India her identity. From historical Ajanta & Ellora caves to Delwara Temple of Mount Abu and from Taj Mahal to Meenakshi Temple of Madurai, Indian architecture showcases its elegance and superiority across the globe. The most prolific creation in recent times, the Statue of Unity, is the World’s Tallest Monument. It represents more than a colossal structure facing the Sardar Sarovar Dam on the river Narmada. It is an iconic symbol of the ‘Iron Man’, who played an important role during India’s freedom struggle and thereafter in the unification of the princely states. It reminds the world of the towering personality of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the nucleus of India’s integration as a united country. Delhi is so majestic ✨ and when you spend time with someone you love, it gets better. (All you need to know about vising humayuns tomb) I see a lot of love around monuments. Whether, it be the newly married couples or couples trying to hide from their community. Love is love. @prashantrawat22 and @ranjichopra . 1. Don't forget it closes at 7pm in summers. So make sure you are there before time as there is a line. 2. You can avoid standing in the line by booking the ticket online. 3. The ticket price is approx 20 rupees per person (sorry if I m wrong. Aman bought the tickets) 4. For foreigners it's 800 rupees which is approx 15 USD depending on the rate. 5. Carry water. There is no food or water available. 6. Make sure you go when it's a little bit cloudly for the best pictures. .
