Had heard about “Mandu ki Imli”, and dismissed it as one of those meaningless hypes created around tourist places. But much to my surprise it turned out to be fruit of the exotic Baobab tree or Adansonia tree. It’s called the “Tree of life” in Madagascar, but I like the local version here at Mandu “Baobao” much better. They say that these trees live for over 2000 years, does that mean some of these trees may have been around during the time of Baaz Bahadur and Roopmati(what's the harm in adding a but more masala to a fable). If historical places and old forts and palaces are not your thing, maybe you could visit Mandu to see these wonderful beings instead of traveling all the way to Madagascar. #travelingram #india #indiatravel #indiatravelgram #incredibleindia #wanderlust #indiatraveldiaries #indiatraveller #indiatravelling #storiesofindia #indiatravels #indiatravelblogger #indiatravelsquad #indiatravellers #travelblogger #indianshutterbugs #indiatraveljournal #indiatravelers # baobab #mandu #hindustankadildekho #mptourism

Melukote is the location of the Cheluvanarayana Swamy Temple, with a collection of crowns and jewels which are brought to the temple for the annual celebration. On the top of the hill is an attractive Melukote Narsimha temple dedicated to Lord Yoganarasimha. It is believed that the image of Yoga Narsimha temple at Melukote was installed by Prahlada himself. Krishnaraja Wodeyar III presented a gold crown to Lord Yoga Narsimha. Many more shrines and ponds are located in the town. The temple infrastructure has large pond called as Kalyani. The beauty of the steps leading to water and the mantapas built all around are such that it has been caputured in mqny Indian films. Melukote is home to the Academy of Sanskrit research, which has collected thousands of Vedic and Sanskrit manuscripts. With the further history that goes back a few centuries to the times of Ramanuja, Academy of Sanskrit Research established in 1978 and spread over 14 acres at the southern end of Melukote, and contains school that practice the gurukul system of Sanskrit education as well as those that teach in modern methods, libraries, halls and temples, all dedicated to the study of Sanskrit language and texts. Early in the 12th century, the great Srivaishnava Saint Ramanujacharya took up his residence and lived this location, it thus became a prominent Centre of Srivaishnavism. Large number of Iyengar Brahmins migrated and settle in this region. People of Melukote do not celebrate Deepawali (the Festival of Lights) till date since November 10th 1790(Narake Chaturdashi). It was the date when Tipu Sultan slaughtered in many cruel ways more than 800 Mandyam Iyengars of this town. People of Melukote thus do not celebrate Deepawali but mourn on the Festival of Lights every year. #yogiaranyaka #yogapants #yog #roadtrip #yogicouple #omnamonarayanaya #indiaroadtrip #yoganarsimha #ashtangayogalove #ancientindia #pilgrimage #globalyogis #chant #mysuru #southindia #yogainspiration #realization #awareness #samadhi #sanskrit #culture #indiatravel #india

People always thought that Tagore hill was named after the world famous literary ‘ Rabindranath Tagore ‘, but the truth is that ‘Jyotirindranath Tagore ‘ elder brother of Rabindranath Tagore settled here in 1912. He was a playwright and in honor of this Tagore legacy the local zamindar donated this property to Jyotirindranath Tagore and hence the name TAGORE HILL. . • Sharing more over in my stories- see you there 🙋🏻‍♀️. #ootd #mmtraveldiaries2019 #ranchi #travelblogger #indiatravel #travelgram

Dive into the relationship between gender and tourism exploring the barriers for women to be part of the value chain of tourism services in India led by Anna Alaman of @openeyesproject. @annaalaman discovered the concept of Social Business by "coincidence". The idea of a company being driven by change captivated her and led to the launch of Open Eyes in 2011 combining her two passions: travel and social impact. Anna started a MSc in Management of Responsible Tourism (ICRT/Leeds Becket University, UK) in 2014. She learned how to measure impacts that consider social and gender issues related to tourism and international development, how to develop new ways to include communities into the guest experience, and to create pro-poor and immersive travel experiences. In 2017, Open Eyes launched "Women in Tourism", the umbrella of their handcrafted experiences created with women in India. Women in Tourism is not a simplistic initiative seeking employment parity between the sexes but a more profound transformation. It also brings feminine values and ideology to mainstream tourism in India. Women in Tourism tackles this dilemma by creating opportunities for the role of women in a society like the Spice Girls Tour in Old Delhi or The World of Woman tour. In this session, Anna will conduct a reflection on gender barriers in tourism in India, and introduce real cases to bring more opportunities to women in tourism.

HAPPY WORLD PHOTOGRAPHY DAY TO ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHERS.📸❤️ I started with Photography back in 2015 with my Moto E2 and Instagram really played an important role in it tbh. Yes those 16 likes meant a lot and then those 2000 likes, 3000 likes but then the fall began gradually I came down to getting 400 likes so did my photos started to turn out bad? Did I sucked at Photography? The answer is a Big Fat No!! If you can scroll down to the very first of mine (800+ now) and start scrolling back up you'll see the difference. The way I shoot, the way I frame my shots, they way I edit my pictures everything got better after each and every post. What I am saying is at the start it's okay to care about likes that little dopamine rush is needed but once you move forward you have to leave it behind and start looking at the art and how you can get better. Now one would say "I don't have a DSLR" well even I don't have it I started with a 100$ Moto E2 and now a 200$ MI A1 I shoot on my phone. Yea I want to buy a DSLR that will really up my game but for now I can't afford it. If you are starting on phone, trust me you are lucky. You'll know how to frame a shot well, get up close with your subject...coz it's my personal opinion the one's who start directly with a DSLR are kinda Lazy people. Keep Clicking....Be Happy.... Spread Happiness and Love & again Happy Photographers Day. This shot I took one year back . Today is World Photography Day. Being a photographer, I have not learnt only photography but I have seen many incidents go on streets. 1. Love between human and animals. 2. The childhood. 3. How to live your life at fullest. And lot more. It's not the result which makes you happy, it's the journey which teaches you different lesson to feel happy. . @colours.of.india @streets.of.india @streets.of.mumbai @streetphotographyinternational @streetphotographyindia @itz_mumbai @mumbai_igers @mymumbai @mumbaibizarre @things2doinmumbai @maharashtra_ig @streets.of.maharashtra @insta_maharashtra @dslrofficial @indiatravelgram @nikonasia @nikonindiaofficial #india #indiatravel #indiatravelgram #indiaclicks #indiapictures #travel #incredibleindia #_soi #wanderlust #pose #photographers #_coi #_woi #indianphotography #street #tripotocommunity #streetphotography #storiesofindia #dark #SPiCollective #mumbai #people #colorful #oph #instatravel #nikonasia #photography #yourshotphotographer #mymumbai

Kashi Vishwanath Lane, Varanasi The lane that goes up till Kashi Vishwanath temple is cramped up with small shops all along. There are lanes cutting through the main lane and the whole setup looks like a maze with shops and vendors deep inside the lanes which looks super mysterious and chaotic. Many of these establishments belong to a family for over 200 years and that makes everything a little more deep. You will find lots of local vendors asking you to keep your shoes, phone, keys etc. with them in a locker as all that is not allowed in the temple premises. The barefoot walk till the temple felt religious but I also felt really simple and a little faith struck walking barefoot.

#worldphotographyday #2019 India runs on tea while coffee being a go-to drink worldwide ! India - second most tea producer & exporter after China gives you a glance of greenery on himalayan hills and plains around Assam, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerela & some parts in Himachal. Assam being the largest producer and West Bengal being the second largest - you can witness the beauty in northeastern parts and north bengal roads spearheading lush green tea gardens miles and miles apart. Now whats so special about Darjeeling ? Ever heard of the Toy train Joy Ride , ever watched the movie 'Barfi' ? Darjeeling is internationally renowned as a tourist destination and emarald green hill station for its spectacular view of Mt.Kangchenjunga, along with its tea industry and the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway ( the toy train meandering throughout the lush green tea estates , himalayan plains and hills) are UNESCO World Heritage site. The highest railway station of India is the Ghoom railway station. The station is located at an altitude of 7,407 feet. One of the specialties of the Darjeeling Himalayan railway are its journey throughout the loops encompassing the reason estates on hills and plains for 88 approx kms. till Jalpaiguri. #indiaview #Travellers #instago #instagirl #sheisnotlost #indianphotography #indiaclicks #instapic #instagram #indiatravel #india_gram #instatravelgram #indialove #ig_india #india_undiscovered #igramming_india #ig_shutterbugs #instaphotography #instalike #vsco #photography #wanderlust #iwanderwhy #indiaig #ourplanetdaily #natgeotraveller #indianphotos @photographers.of.india @indian.photo @world_photography_page @photographers.hub.of.india
