I've answered a few questions just by loving my digestin' restin' Ha ha my INDr. No we were not made to eat consume chunks of redmeat only for life!?!?!? We were meant to listen to our bodies! At the moment my bod is loving not consuming it's ener G to digesting a big fat steak. No I haven't given away steak. No Dairy at all. Resting Digesting is = to even better Ketone energy. Breaking the fast with a fruit feast🍊🍈🍑 I went on and off with the intermittent fasting routine. The days following the days I did not commit to intermittent fasting were horrible. I was sluggish, had constant headaches and felt lethargic in general. I now realize the importance of intermittent fasting. Your body needs break from digesting food and start working on healing it. Today I woke up with a horrible headache and a bloated stomach as I ate a lot of sugar yesterday and did not bother about intermittent fasting. So today I gave ample amount of rest to my body, drank plenty of water and broke the fast by eating a huge plate of delicious fresh season fruits. Immediately I felt refreshed. I come from a partially Punjabi household and the closer Diwali gets, the more Punjabi I feel 😅 This might have something to do with the fact that as a kid, I spent all my Diwali vacations, which sometimes lasted over a month, at my Nana (maternal grandfather)'s house. My Nana was a man of habit and loved having a hearty breakfast made of a nice masala omlet and a glass full of lassi every morning. Oh how I miss him! ❤ So yesterday, I was feeling especially nostalgic and decided to try making Keto Lassi, which is a simple sweet yogurt drink. Punjabi lassis have none of the pomp and absurdities of the lassi we get here in Mumbai (which is flavoured, has cream on top and a lot of dry fruits, making it almost a dessert rather than a refreshment) Punjabi lassi is extremely easy to make, and a drink you can actually drink everyday 😊 Recipe: Take 3 tbsp hung curd/greek yogurt. Add in stevia and/or erythritol according to taste. Add in a pinch of salt and chilled water until you feel the consistency is right. Mix it all up really well. Now comes the tricky part. Take another glass and pour the lassi from one glass to another from a height in rapid succession to make it frothy. Tonight was a very moist and really tasty meatloaf with a sugar free ketchup topping mixed with smoked paprika, garlic and onion powder. The salad was dressed with a homemade herb & parmigiano dressing, and the cauliflower mash gets a little better every time. Near perfection. Just got home and had my last meal! I did not realize how much was in my Chipotle Bowl but nonetheless! I'm in a deficit ^.^ But tomorrow I shall keep on track more with what I eat to make sure I hit my goal of 2000 calories. Coming off a heavy bulk it's not wise to dwell into a deep deficit so quick! Slowly but surely maintain a good deficit and begin to gradually dwell deeper. My goal is by next week to be hitting 1800 on recovery days and 2000 on training days!
