𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙃𝙀𝙒 𝘾𝙃𝙄𝘾𝙆𝙀𝙉 🥡⁣ ⁣ This easy cashew chicken recipe is one of our favorite go-tos on a regular basis. It's so quick and easy and super delicious!! ⁣ ⁣ We always double or triple the recipe so we have leftovers for lunches at work.⁣ ⁣ 𝘐𝘯𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 ⁣ ⁣ • 3 skinless boneless chicken thighs⁣ • 2 tbsp coconut oil⁣ • 1/2 med green bell pepper⁣ • 1/4 c cashews⁣ • 1/4 med white onion ⁣ • 1/2 tsp ground ginger⁣ • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar⁣ • 1 1/2 tbsp mirin (soy sauce)⁣ • 1/2 tbsp chili garlic sauce⁣ • 1 tbsp minced garlic⁣ • 1 tbsp sesame oil⁣ • 1 tbsp green onions⁣ • 1 tbsp sesame seeds⁣ ⁣ 𝘋𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 ⁣ ⁣ 1. Heat pan to med high heat. Dice chicken thighs into 1 inch chunks. Melt coconut oil in pan and cook chicken through (about 5 min).⁣ ⁣ 2. While chicken is cooking dice peppers and onion into one inch pieces. Add to chicken in pan. ⁣ ⁣ 3. Add garlic, chili sauce, ginger and salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 min. ⁣ ⁣ 4. Add mirin, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil and cashews. Cook on high and allow liquid to reduce down until it is a sticky consistency. There should not be excess liquid in the pan upon completing cooking. ⁣ ⁣ 5. Serve and top with green onion and toasted sesame seeds. First post that I've made in awhile. Honestly first keto friendly meal I've eaten in awhile. Shit happens 🤷‍♀️ I've been feeling very jabba the hutt-ish lately and not in a good way. I never intended this outfit to be a progress outfit. I just refused to wear anything more revealing back when I weighed 240 pounds. I didn’t plan to take photos of myself that day, it just kind of happened. I was feeling disgusted with myself & knew that I was getting close to my breaking point & that soon I was going to change. So I forced myself to get up, go to the mirror in whatever I was wearing, and take pictures. I wish I would have taken more before photos, in something that showed more of my arms & back, but that’s ok. I was trying to do things at my pace in my way this time, so my method was to be as stress free as possible & just relax. That’s why I kept it a secret for months & why I don’t truly have before photos. Whatever you need to do to be successful, do that. 😋😋BACON-WRAPPED JALAPENO POPPERS We love spicy. We love bacon. We love cheese. So what could be better than jalapenos stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon? Nothing. The answer is nothing. SERVINGS: 4 INGREDIENTS 16 fresh jalapeños 16 strips bacon 4 oz cream cheese ¼ cup shredded cheddar cheese 1 tsp salt 1 tsp paprika INSTRUCTIONS 01. Preheat oven to 350° F 02. Slice the bacon in half (this will give you 16 half length pieces). 03. Slice the ends off each jalapeno. Slice each jalapeno in half length-wise. Remove seeds and membranes with a corer or knife. (Caution: use gloves to protect hands) 04. Mix the cream cheese and cheddar cheese together in a bowl. 05. Fill each jalapeno half with the cheese mix. (You can either place two halves back together or keep them separate. We prefer separate!) 06. Wrap each piece in bacon. 07. Place all bacon-wrapped jalapeno poppers on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Make sure there is a bit of room between each piece. Bake for 20-25 minutes (until bacon is baked and jalapenos are desired spiciness). 08. Important: Do a taste test with one popper to measure the spiciness. The longer you bake the poppers, the less hot they become. 09. Add salt, paprika and any other spices to taste. Keto has done so much for me, not just in my physique— my mental health had improved so much, and I say “had” because over the holidays I stopped Keto completely! Let me tell you, took a huge toll on me & took me back to my old self. To the girl who was mean to herself in the mirror, depressed who hated clothes and hated being seen. I saw myself in the mirror today & I was nice to myself, even tho I lost the abs & the scale doesn’t say “120lbs” anymore I am happy where I’m going! All because of Keto I finally accepted myself with all my flaws. But it is always going to burn dietary fat first.⁣ ⁣ Please understand that I am speaking about this from a weight loss only standpoint. So if you are in need or lots of other healing or you are just starting out - you may need all the fat and then some (healthy fats that is.) ⁣ ⁣ So for weight loss specifically, if you are seeing a bit of stalling, try bringing your fat macro down a little bit. Say if your goal is 120 g, even try limiting it to 80. It’s still high fat, but your body fat will help make up the deficit.⁣ ⁣ I cannot stress enough, the importance of making sure these are healthy fats. Foods fried in vegetable oils, cooked in margarine or made with Crisco are examples of things you DON’T want to be eating. Stay with animal fats that are from healthy animals, coconut oil, olive oil, avocados, butter/ghee (if dairy tolerant), etc. are all examples of healthy fats. ⁣ ⁣ Please avoid fat fasts and egg fasts! I have tried an egg fast back when I was not overly educated about keto. Here’s the thing - you may see the scale move - but you may be losing LBM because you’re likely not getting enough protein. Plus - these fasts are miserable - so why put yourself through that?⁣ ⁣ ⁣ In a later post I will give you some pointers on other things you can focus on if you need to break a stall. Don’t worry! ⁣ ⁣

Maybe this will help someone that doesn't know where to start. I have been doing a meat based keto - relaxed carnivore diet. Ive been eating this way for a year, I have lost 75lbs. This is a very simplistic way to eat. I don't do meal plans or fancy recipes. I cook the meat in a frying pan and eat it, sometimes with a side. I will eat everything in this picture in about a week, if it's not in this picture I don't eat it. I won't go back to the store until every ounce of this food is consumed. There is 13lbs of meat here, I will eat it all and still lose weight. I don't ever go hungry. There is maybe 50 carbs sitting on the counter. This store trip cost me $71.25. Food is fuel. CUTIE LITTLE HOMEMADE KETO SUSHI Rolls! By @ghostingcarbs ⠀ How cute are these!? I was going to walk over to the fish shop down the street but I decided to just use up what I've already got at home. Next time I'm gonna make them more legit, but these ones are made up of this...⠀ ⠀ First I used a carrot peeler to slice thin long strips of cucumber. I dried them with a paper towel and set aside. ⠀ ⠀ I sliced a red bell pepper, carrot and avocado. ⠀ ⠀ I mixed one can of albacore tuna with a tbsp of mayo and sliced jalapeño. ⠀ ⠀ Then I took a slice of the cucumber and loaded it all up and rolled it like a spiral. ⠀ ⠀ Super simple! I can't wait to do this again with better fish. But this is a perfect snack for now! Served with a sriracha mayo.

Traditional Filipino Sunday Family Get Together Feast. Grilled Pompano fish, Liempo (pork belly), Talaba (oyster) & Sautee’d Shrimp. Pochero (braised beef shank and bone marrow in tomato sauce with veggies) paired with mashed eggpplant and pumpkin ensalada(mixed in vinegar, salt, pepper,little sugar and garlic paste). CHEESE SHELL SHRIMP TACOS WITH CREAMY CILANTRO SAUCE⁠ -⁠ 💜|KETO MEALS FOR A HAPPY LIFE 😉 🌵| it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle 👍| like our content 👉| Follow us @ketosisyummy for more keto tips, mealplans and transformation stories! ❤❤ - - Recipe by: @mylowcarbmeal⁠ .⁠ .⁠ 🗒️ INGREDIENTS (For two tacos)⁠ For tacos⁠ 🌿100g/ 3,5oz cheddar cheese, grated⁠ 🌿450g/ 1lb shrimp, deveined and tails removed⁠ 🌿1 tsp ground paprika⁠ 🌿1 tsp garlic powder or one pressed garlic⁠ 🌿1/2 tsp dried oregano⁠ 🌿1 tsp ground cumin⁠ 🌿1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or chili flakes⁠ 🌿1/2 tsp salt⁠ 🌿2 tbsp olive oil⁠ For cilantro sauce⁠ 🌿230g/ 1 cup sour cream⁠ 🌿3 tbsp fresh cilantro, minced⁠ 🌿1 tsp lime zest⁠ 🌿1/4 tsp salt⁠ 🌿1 tbsp lime juice⁠ 🌿150g/ 1 1/2 cup Chinese cabbage⁠ Toppings⁠ 🌿lime wedge⁠ 🌿fresh cilantro⁠ -⁠ 👩‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS⁠ For the taco shells:⁠ 1. Preheat oven to 400F(200C). Line a baking sheet with a parchment paper or silicone mat.⁠ 2. Wrap the handle of a wooden spoon with aluminum foil. Balance between two tall glasses.⁠ 3. Spread cheddar cheese on the prepared baking sheet into a circle shape.⁠ 4. Bake in the preheated oven until cheese melts and is lightly brown, 5-7 minutes.⁠ 5. Cool for 2-3 minutes, lift with a spatula and drape over the wrapped wooden handle.⁠ 6. Cool until set, about 5 minutes.⁠ For the shrimps:⁠ 1. In a large bowl, season shrimp with paprika, garlic powder, oregano, cumin, red pepper flakes, and salt. Toss gently to combine.⁠ 2. In a large non-stick skillet preheat olive oil and turn the heat to medium.⁠ 3. Add the shrimps and cook for 2-3 minutes each side.⁠ 4. Remove from heat.⁠ For the cilantro sauce:⁠ 1. In a bowl, combine all cilantro ingredients (except for cabbage). Stir well to combine.⁠ 2. Cut cabbage into thin stripes.⁠ 3. Mix cabbage with half of the cilantro sauce. (Saving the other half for extra sauce to put on the tacos).⁠ 4. Assemble the tacos on cheddar tortillas. Add the cabbage mixture, followed by the shrimp. Top with the creamy cilantro sauce, cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.

This pic is me yesterday vs the same weekend a few years ago. Doing our annual friends May Long BBQ party by @keto.kayte . I did not think it was possible to change my life drastically at this point, I felt defeated in this was it. Myself, sitting on those steps would not have ever believed you if I had said in a few years you will be 115lbs less and a whole lot happier. . Now I can look back and sit in regret that I hadn’t started my journey sooner but it took where I was in life to get to the point of self appreciation and realizing that I was worth that investment for change. . . Sirloin Steaks with Stuffed Mushrooms and Green Beans 🌱 ⠀ This meal was super easy to make. The steaks were seasoned with salt, pepper and @flavorgod Everything seasoning. I found the cheese stuffed mushrooms in the produce section of the grocery store.
