I have very few pics from right when I started keto bc I loathed myself but I was the same size when I started. ⠀ ⠀ I think I lost about 60lbs the first 6 months, my biggest, most noticeable difference was the first 3-4 months. From the day I started I kept “wonder how much I’ll lose in a few months” in the back of my head.⠀ ⠀⠀ I saw so many others losing a crazy amount of weight and thought THAT WILL BE ME!!! I literally did nothing but count my net carbs and trust the process. My life improved so much in 6 months.⠀ ⠀ I felt like a haggard old sloppy worm transformed into a beautiful butterfly. Our marriage was good and we believed we were happy, but as a couple we didnt realize just how happy we could be.⠀ ⠀ We also knew if we did fight for our health we wouldn't have many years to grow old together, and we wanted to be parents one day. My wedding day was one of the best days of my life and maybe one day we will renew our vows, but no matter what size I was that day I felt beautiful and have no regrets.⠀ ⠀ Danny never asked me to change and made me feel beautiful since the moment we started dating in 2007. Before we lost weight together we spent our nights binge watching Netflix not talking and mindlessly eating thousands of calories. ⠀ ⠀ Ultimately our relationship revolved around food and we learned that by changing our habits + our relationship with food that we could save our life. I found this really pretty formal dress in June to wear to one of the many weddings we are attending in 2020/2021- the only problem is that it's backless. I knew wearing a backless dress would pose an issue because I had a ton of back rolls (or "back jowls" as I often call them), but fast forward to today and the dress is looking much better! I still have a ways to go before I'd be comfortable wearing this to a wedding or out in public, but I know I'll get there. Progress not perfection 😘. Introducing… CHICKEN CRUST PIZZA 🔥🍕🍕🍕 by @mylowcarbmeal - Recipe makes two pizza bases with a 28cm diameter! - 📋 INGREDIENTS: 1lb ground chicken 1 cup grated parmesan cheese 3 tbsp flaxseed flour 1/2 tsp salt 3 large eggs - 👨🏽‍🍳 INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (204 degrees C). Line a baking tray with parchment paper. 2. Stir together the shredded chicken, grated Parmesan cheese, flaxseed flour, and salt. 3. Whisk the eggs lightly, then mix in. 4. Divide the dough into two equal pieces. Spread the chicken crust pizza "dough" onto the parchment paper as thinly as possible (about 1/4 in thick). 5. Bake for 15 minutes, until firm and golden on the edges. 6. Let the crust rest for 10 minutes. 7. Add sauce and toppings of your choice. Return to the oven for 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted. All I take from this journey are the moments of victories and accomplishments. Orzo pasta salad with @greatlowcarb. I used 1 bag orzo @greatlowcarb english cucumber, onion, shredded cheddar, grape tomatoes, cilantro, bananas peppers, garlic,, green olives. Lunch today is lettuce wraps! 🥬 Romaine lettuce, Parmesan folios, grilled chicken, and @waldenfarmsinternational zero-carb, zero-calorie ranch dressing. The Parmesan folios and grilled chicken are both from Costco. The chicken wasn’t bad but pre-cooked/pre-packaged chicken just isn’t my favorite. The texture is always a little off in spots. Keto choc chip muffins. I added in some mashed banana - non Keto and used normal flour instead of Almond this time but you cab use Almond flour as per the recipe. This is part of the food for my sons bday morning tea tomorrow which some of my family. Leftovers will go in lunchboxes this week. #ketolunchbox
