Love moves mountains, moves people, moves lives. . One simple word with so much power, that carries with it so many emotions. . I can't wrap my mind around people who don't believe anything until they see it... Well, the most beautiful things in life are the ones we cannot see. And, when we feel them, no one needs to prove them right or wrong. They are just "there" for us to enjoy and experience with the deepest part of our beings! . Love is so much more than a word; it is a mixture of trust, peace, honesty, and faith. . Love is a powerful lighthouse that bring us home every time; and it is the fuel that feeds our souls every day. . Love is what makes us passionate about the things we do, and the ones we help. . The more love we have in our lives, the more life we have to live and to share... and the more positive energy we can give to this world. . Our world will never run out of power if we keep running out of love. . . #love #whatloveis #lovedefinition #iloveyou #iheartyou #energysource #power #instagood #cute #loveyourself #lovely #lovers #lover #loveme #beautiful #lovelive #like4like #loved #lovehim #loveher #loves #lovequotes #follow #followme #photooftheday #picoftheday #conscioushealthwriter #gabibrandao

I thought I'd go through each of the Friday the 13th movies and give a brief explanation as to why each individual movie is unique and reasons as to why it would be liked. I'm only talking about the movies called Friday the 13th, not the movies branded with Jason. Friday the 13th- First movie to bring the campground killer setting into the mainstream. A genuine whodunit mystery right up until the end. The original that sets the franchise into motion. A memorable and effective jump scare ending . Friday the 13th part 2- First movie with Jason Voorhees as the killer. A worthy final girl who isn't typical. Creepy bag head Jason look. Memorable wheelchair kill. Friday the 13th part 3- Introduction of Jason's trademark Hockey mask. 80's 3D. Loveable loser Shelly . Memorable final girl Chris overcoming previous Jason Voorhees attack. Pamela Voorhees jump scare. Friday the 13th part 4- The final chapter- Most likeable teenage/ young adult cast in the franchise. Crispin Glover dance. Jimbo and Teddy bear funny antics and dialogue. Young Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis. Memorable Jason death. Friday the 13th part 5- A new beginning- A genuine whodunit until the end. Likeable characters Reggie the reckless and Pam. A continuation of Tommy's trauma and past dealings with Jason. Attempted something different in terms of the killer. Friday the 13th part 6- Jason lives- Many shout outs and references to horror icons and legends. Cool Zombie Jason look. Alice Cooper soundtrack.Self referential humour. Likeable actor Thom Matthews as Tommy Jarvis. Friday the 13th part 7 - The new blood. Arguably the best Jason look of the franchise. Cool fight sequences between Jason and Tina. Friday the 13th part 8- Jason takes Manhattan. Cool 80's nostalgia and soundtrack. Tried to be different by having Jason out and about in different settings besides Camp crystal lake. Cool zombie Jason look. New York City sequences were cool. Roof top boxing match between Julius and Jason .

One of my favourite horror movie sequels of all time, Return of the living dead part 2.

@horrormike.93

Friday the 13th part 5- A new beginning. The reason this film stands out from the rest of the franchise is because Jason Voorhees is not the killer. As a teenager I hated this movie and thought it was a waste because Jason was not the killer. As I've gotten older my opinion has changed and these days I very much do enjoy the movie and think it's a worthy edition to the franchise. Slasher's aren't known for their story telling but this movie in a small way does demonstrate storytelling ability by showing us Tommy's trauma and ongoing battle with his mind due to a previous encounter with Jason Voorhees. This movie was also interesting because it wasn't quite clear cut as to who the killer was, for a while it was a toss up between dead serial killer Jason Voorhees or the mentally unstable Tommy Jarvis. This flick did lose some steam when the lame Roy burns was revealed to be the killer. This dad bodied dude demonstrated strength he has no earthly business in having. No movie is perfect, and slashers are far from perfect but I feel this movie has caught a bad wrap, if this movie stayed exactly the same but Jason was the killer I think this movie would be praised as one of the better sequels, But since Roy was the killer it's one of the lower ranked. I don't think this movie should be considered amongst the greatest Friday films but it is far from being the worst.

@horrormike.93

Night of the living dead is my favourite horror remake. It doesn't remotely capture the scope, influence or the importance of the original but it is a genuine attempt to capture some of the magic. Tom Savini takes the directing reigns and does a commendable job. Tony Todd is chillingly good as usual, his character Ben and his eyes look constantly disturbed like he endured hell before the hell of the feature film even began. The Barbara character is much improved from the original, the one actual improvement in my opinion, she is strong and capable like you would need to be in a zombie apocalypse. I like how Barbara comments on how slow the Zombies are and that you can simply walk around them if there aren't too many, some people might feel that this cheapens the zombies but I feel it's a nice touch of simple logic that makes a film feel more legitimate. The slow burn quick sand feeling of claustrophobia and dread is ever apparent as in the original, it doesn't feel as ghoulish without the black and white though. I'm not a huge fan of remakes, I'm not against them but I feel like they really need to deliver and be impressive, I'm not going to like them just because they look modern. Night of the living dead stays true to the original but tweaks a few characters and elements to be considered a good remake and a good movie in its own standing. Ben and Cooper's feud is a good way to expand their characters and get a good insight into their natural personalities , but the only negative to me about this film is that their bickering and fighting sometimes distracts from the driving plot and at times becomes annoying, other than that I have no complaints about the film. Night of the living dead is a highly worthy remake that I would recommend to horror fans .

@horrormike.93

The Return of the living dead is my favourite horror movie of all time, it's easily number one, there is no contention. Watching this for the first time as a 12-year-old at my friend's house is a piece of nostalgia I wish I could relive. I was hooked from start to finish, when Frank told Freddy about the Trioxin barrels in the basement and explained how Night of the living dead was based on a true case... Oh man, I had goosebumps. The humour blends perfectly with the horror, it's never cheesy or goofy, It's used as a story telling device, it serves it's purpose to perfection. When I think of this movie I just don't think of a kick ass soundtrack, or a cool cast or inthralling visuals, I think of good times with friends. The beautiful things about movies is that they never change, your life and circumstances may change but your love for these particular movies will always bring your mind back to that place, I've always maintained that movies are the most influential of all the arts. Movies like this have made me a lifelong fan of the horror genre, I'm a movie person in general, but horror is by far my favourite. This movie came out 8 years before I was even born but it's a film I'll continue to enjoy watching for the rest of my life.

@horrormike.93

I have loved the horror genre for about 20 years now, it was a staple of my childhood and it is now a staple of my adult life also, horror movies and movies in general are a form of expression and filmmaking is the art form that I think influences society the most, more so than music I think. I might not have the best collection in the world, I might not write the best reviews in the world but what I do have is a genuine passion for this genre and a unique viewpoint , I try to find the deeper meaning behind films and how the themes and content touch or effect the audience, sometimes with horror it's hard to find the deeper meaning though haha. I can't clearly define why I was attracted to this genre, I was exposed to it at a very young age, that combined with the personality I was born with is the most likely reason, In real life I've been called not a real horror fan for not liking a particular movie, I say there is no such thing as a real horror fan, there are just horror fans, If you enjoy watching horror movies that's fan enough for me, everyone appreciates this genre in a different way and goes about being a fan in a different way, Go about it in which ever way you want as long as it's respectful of others.

I'm looking forward to the Halloween movie coming out later this year, the same as every horror fan I assume, it's not a special statement, but if this movie delivers it would be very special to my generation I think. John carpenter's Halloween is a horror classic in my opinion , seeing that in the movie cinema brand new would be such an awesome event, an event I would never be able to experience, I don't have high hopes for this new movie but a part of me always has the hope it could be a horror classic of this generation. The Halloween movies of my generation have been very poor in my opinion, H20 came out when I was 5 years old, too young to appreciate it properly , but if I'm being honest I don't like that movie that much, Halloween resurrection is terrible, The Rob zombie movies get a mixed reaction but I'm by no means a fan of them , they are barely Halloween movies to me. I just hope the new Halloween movie can deliver and potentially become a classic of this generation , I know that's very unlikely though , But hearing that classic theme music in the cinema will be a legendary experience within itself, I've been trying to keep away from information about this movie, I don't want to know too much about it, I want to walk into the cinema a blank slate or as blank as I can be given because spoilers are seen so easily these days, I guess I'll just have to wait until Halloween time to see if this movie delivers or fails like many before it.

The town that dreaded sundown is one of the earliest slasher's , being made after Black Christmas but occurring before Halloween . It is loosely based on real life crimes that occurred in Texarkana only about 8 months after the conclusion of world war 2, as with any movie creative liberty is taken and names, dates, and elements of events are changed to easier fit the narrative of a feature length film, but there is no denying crimes did occur in this fashion around Texarkana. The killer is a man who wears a sack over his head, he is nicknamed "the phantom killer", he typically stalks and kills young lovers who are parked in isolated make out areas of Texarkana , these young men and women are just looking for some loving but instead they get attacked and killed in some instances by a prick wearing a sack over his head.. Talk about a mood killer.... Anyway this describes the bulk of our plot, oh yeah and the police and their bumbling efforts to capture the offender , some of the cops in this film are capable but one cop's nicknamed 'spark plug ' and he has to be one of the absolute worst horror movie cops of all time, he is an absolute clown and that's saying something because lots of horror movie cops suck. The killer in this movie is intimidating , the sack he wears is creepy and his build is deceiving , he looks lanky and weak but don't judge a book by its cover, he easily man handles his victims , but then again his victims are usually teenagers so it's not exactly like he's dealing with the cream of the crop in terms of strength. One particular creative kill scene see's the killer attach a knife to the end of a trombone bayonet style , he pulls the trombone which in turn releases the knife repeatedly into his victims back , which adds weight to my theory that the killer is a returned ww2 veteran , he is good at killing , stalking and alluding the authorities. Sometimes this movie can't decide what it wants to be, it's narrated documentary style at times, it has car chases and police work like an action crime thriller and it has comedy with bumbling cops , I feel that this hurts the movie.
