Day 28 of whole30. Didn't eat yesterday, but are a whole rack of ribs plus spinach to more than make up for it because I'm such an actual fatass 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃 Ok, more like 2/3 since my partner ate like 5 ribs, but I still ate 8 ribs, and I'm pretty sure they were the bigger ones. He seriously spoils me. I definitely over ate, but I don't think it was a binge. The ribs were amazing, and pretty much melted in my mouth. I'm from the south so of course I had to have apple cider vinegar and hot sauce with it. We didn't make it out to eat last night as planned because well...things happen but tonight we broke another 24hr fast at #buffalowildwings 😋. I had the Big Daddy Burger....no bun, no BBQ sauce, no onion rings with pepper jack cheese and added mayo...I removed the tomato and added a side salad...I brought my own dressing, parmesan cheese and Whisps from home...it was amazing but I'm not kidding when I tell you my grilled burgers at home are way better!! Blueberry and strawberry yogurt bark is a delicious way to use some of that fruit AND it’s a quick, easy snack that takes less than 5 minutes to prep and is pretty macro friendly as well. You’ll need: 1 cup of yogurt of your choosing- 0% Fage Greek Yogurt is a great choice 1/4 cup of chopped strawberries 1/4 cup of blueberries Spread the yogurt out on a sheet pan covered in parchment paper. Evenly spread fruit on top of yogurt. Stick the pan into the freezer for 4-6 hours. Come home to delicious treats. For the above recipe, the entire sheet is 17 grams of carbs and 23 grams of protein. Definitely one of my best discoveries at @traderjoes is nutritional yeast. That was 100% influenced by instagram but it is now a cupboard staple! 2013 ➡️ 2016 #majorthrowback Can you tell how much fun I have on stage? 😝Its important not to compare your chapter 1 to some else's chapter 5. I had many rebounds & failed preps between the years. I had to overcome anxiety around food after months of restricting. There was a 6 month period where I didn't work out at all. But I didn't give up, I knew I wanted to compete again so I vowed to find a better way.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ I do want to say competing is an extreme and it's HARD. You don't have to do it to have a healthy lifestyle, it's just something that I do for fun. If you do decide to take that journey here are just a few of my tips for a happier and healthier prep: ⁣⁣ 1️⃣ Learn about flexible dieting. There is going to be a time when you need a treat, if you can fit it into your macros then you'll be more likely not to binge and stay on track ⁣⁣ 2️⃣ Do it for the right reasons⁣⁣ 3️⃣ Give yourself enough time & be realistic with how much time you'll really need⁣⁣ 4️⃣ Surround yourself with like minded people who support your goals. {Not everyone will understand why you wish to prance around on stage in heels and a bikini, and oh well it's not their body!}⁣⁣ 5️⃣ Have post show plan & someone who will support you through that process! ⁣ ⁣⁣ Happy Thursday friends! Follow up post to the pulled pork slow cooker recipe I made this week! The seasonings MADE this pulled pork soooo flavorful and tasty! I have been using MyFitnessPal to track my macros and calories every day for over 4 years now. I use the free version of the app, and it is super easy to use! As the app continues to improve, it has really helped me with tracking all of my food whether I cook it at home or am eating out. So here is a go-to cravings recipe, maybe not the same as a brownie but healthy, delicious, and close enough;) 33.8P/21.1C/3.6F😜 ((Combine egg whites, protein powder, 1/2 tsp baking powder, coconut milk & stir. I divided into two muffin compartments and baked for a few minutes. Leave a little bit of the batter to pour over the “brownies” and ice cream!!))

here’s the full recipe for my chili Mac and cheese meal prep I made for the week. I am a diehard fan of Mac and cheese, and this is the best way I’ve found to enjoy it and still feel healthy, by reducing the serving size of macaroni and loading up with lean protein, veggies, and flavor 😋 . Ingredients: - 20oz ground turkey - 2 14oz cans diced tomatoes - 1 can of red kidney beans - 1 can of black beans - 6-8 stalks of celery - 1/2 large onion - 1 large green bell pepper - 2 boxes of Mac and cheese (I used Annie’s white cheddar, but any kind is fine) - Chile powder to taste - Cumin to taste - Paprika to taste - Salt to taste - Pepper to taste - Cayenne to taste - Oregano to taste - 1 tablespoon minced garlic . Cook: 1️⃣ chop onion and bell pepper and sauté with garlic until slightly soft, then add ground turkey. Stir and crumble the turkey until cooked. 2️⃣ Chop celery. Add to a large pot with turkey mixture, canned tomatoes, and both cans of beans. 3️⃣ I put “to taste” for spices because I know everyone likes it different, but I cannot stress enough - put A LOT of seasoning. It’s a lot of food to be seasoned, and the best part of chili is the rich flavor. 4️⃣ Add a little water if necessary, and bring to a boil. Reduce to simmer and cover with lid. Remove lid after 30 mins to let some water evaporate. 5️⃣ Make macaroni according to package instructions and personal preference. 6️⃣ Mix them together and split into 6 equal servings! . Details: Makes 6 portions, about 510 calories per portion, 3 servings of vegetables per portion. Takes about an hour and a half to make.
