Today was good. . #diet #weightloss #weightlossjourney is going alright. Scale barely moving but I am keeping below my already low weight loss calories, and feeling good. Learning some discipline. Made myself a light dinner, ordered pizza for the fam. I even was able to fit a little half-serving of ice cream in. #iifym #ifitfits #macros . #fitness #workout #gym was great. Did my two miles. Only recorded one with my app, as my phone died and it was plugged in during our walk. If you want the answer to that question to be an impressive number (without lying), read below 💪🏼😁.⠀ -⠀ First, a bro split where you hit each body part once per week is not very conducive to getting stronger. Strength is partly a skill and the more often you practice a skill, the better you’ll become at that skill (to an extent). If you want to bench more weight, benching just once per week on chest day is not the most efficient method.⠀ -⠀ Second, your focus should be on compound exercises that train multiple muscle groups. If you add 100 pounds to your squat and deadlift in a year, you’ll be significantly stronger. If you spend most of your time doing bicep curls, you won’t be.⠀ -⠀ Lastly, it’s important to have some sort of mechanism to track progress and progressively overload. If you’re not doing more sets and/or reps over time then you aren’t getting stronger. Speaking of how amazing Ben and Jerry's is, this is seriously the most amazing flavor of theirs I've ever had. I've been very appreciate of character Charles Boyle (of Brooklyn 99) and his nerdy foodie-isms when it comes to breaking down food into categorizable components. This one satisfies so many cravings all at once. Just seeing the words "crème brûlée" on something automatically draws my attention. It could be crème brûlée flavored suppositories and I'd be like "Oooooooh! Don't mind if I do!!!" *Grabs 2 bags just in case they're amazing* Next you've got that initial lid reveal which determines just how sexy that ice cream is gonna be. Did you happen to stike out with freezer burned asshole, or did that lid slidddddde off sensually with that Alfafa curl of smooth and creamy ice cream that's just begging to be.....ehh hemm, you get the point. Primera comida: La foto no se ve muy bien, pero aquí tengo 2 huevos completos + 1 jugo verde que hago con 1 taza de espinacas, 1/2 vaso de yogur griego + 1 manzana verde 🍏 Todo eso se revuelve en agua y queda delicioso. Hago este jugo verde, NO PORQUE ME AYUDE A QUEMAR GRASA (como mucha gente pensaría)< recuerda que ningún alimento tiene el poder de quemar grasa>, lo hago porque me ayuda a tener una mejor digestión durante el día, y además cumplo con una parte de la cuota de vegetales que mi cuerpo necesita . . Segunda comida: Malteada de vainilla hecha con 1 taza de leche 🥛(esta vez utilice leche normal los fat porque se me había acabado la leche de almendras) + 1 scoop de mi proteina en polvo (yo utilizo la marca ALL WHEY ALL MAX sabor vainilla) + 3/4 de taza de yogur griego sabor vainilla (utilizo la marca OIKOS) . . Tercera comida: Quesadillas de atún: utilice 2 tortillas integrales +1 paquete de atún en agua + media taza de queso 🧀 mozarella reducido en grasas . . Cuarta comida: Chicken BOWL 🍲 3.5 oz de pechuga de pollo + 1 taza de arroz jazmín + vegetales al gusto . . Al final del dia, para completar mis requerimientos de grasas, me comí 1 puñado de almendras (normalmente son 16 piezas) . . NO AGUANTO HAMBRE y veo resultados de pérdida de grasa! . . Tonight's dinner is Chicken Alfredo made with #healthynoodle pasta. This noodles are absolutely a must!! I recently found them at @costco but quickly have become a staple in my kitchen. The texture of these are more like real noodle consistency imo. You want to add them to your dishes at the very end to not overcook them tho. Performance in all aspects of life depends on the foods we put on our bodies. Tonight my dinner included wild caught fish, organically sourced chickpeas and three other organic vegetables. I’m grateful that this will be my fuel going into tomorrow. I am sad that many who depend on the “aid” of government programs through SNAP or food kitchens are left with lack of access to these ingredients or nutrient deficient, processed meals. One of the biggest mindset shifts I have to get people to make is to be okay with "waste." . I know that sounds, well, wasteful, but you are NOT a garbage disposal! Just because there's food on your plate or in your fridge doesn't mean that you have to eat it. . Eating mindfully means paying attention to when you're satiated and that can mean waste. Especially as you start out. . As you get more in tune with your body and your appetite, you'll adapt and plan better so that you don't waste as much. . But you have to be willing to stop eating regardless of what food is left. Boring repeated food😂 But I had leftover tacos for dinner tonight. I’ve been a lot happier, calmer, and dealing with stress better this week. And I have exercise to thank! I’ve finally gotten into a good rhythm that challenges me but isn’t so difficult that I dread it everyday, clears my head, and makes me excited to conquer the next day. I’ve been doing Whitney Simmons dumbbell only workouts (Shoulders, Upper Body, and Legs/Glutes) and I’ve modified them to fit my needs.
