So my therapy homework this week is "Self Esteem and How it Develops" from my workbook. There is a scale from Self-Defeating Shame to Self-Defeating Pride with Self Esteem located in the middle. The healthy goal is the middle. My entire life has been a constant drastic swing from one end of this scale to the other, never a healthy middle. . I would go from self loathing to the point of major depression to the feeling of being invincible and that I was the best person in the world. (snippet of bipolar disorder). Learning myself inside and out has been a humbling and painful journey thus far. But being able to finally identify, explain and start correcting my way of thinking has given me realization that I can...and WILL be better. . Embarking on this fitness journey has greatly helped my mental state. I grow more confident every day and having the tools that therapy is teaching me are helping to keep those confidences in place. I think a common misconception is only those who are traditionally "overweight" have self image issues. Body dysmorphia is real and can affect anyone. I have lost 15 POUNDS so far (albeit mostly unintentional), and i finally feel more at peace with my body. This is the best I have felt physically in my life (SECOND to being pregnant with Evie). . I'm no longer afraid of opening up about my mental health and the struggles I have. I became exhausted of hiding it and comparing myself to others. I am who I am, and I'm learning to love who that is and what she is capable of. . Side note, check out that $88 Christmas Tree 😐

How do I get rid of negativity? It’s exhausting, huh? I used to run in circles trying to figure this one out. Here it is- Make so much space for good there’s no room for anything less. This goes for every aspect of life. Good doesn’t come to you. You won’t stumble upon it. You have to actively seek it out and make space available for good: >>> good thoughts >>> good people >>> good experiences >>> good opportunities >>> good habits >>> a good life Build from the ground up. It’s hard at first but just like anything else in life, with practice you get better. The more space you offer good, the more it flows + quicker anything less than is filtered out. Building a healthy relationship with anxiety means actively engaging in behaviors that build you up (not to be mistaken for being positive all the time, that’s not human). 🖤 #strongnotbroken #mindhealthdpt

Let's talk bipolar anger. This weeks #throwbackthursday is our Fall 2008 cover where writer @stephaniestephensma points out the isolation that can come from the emotion, and how it has been overshadowed by the more widely acknowledged bipolar symptoms of mania and sadness. Tap the link in our bio to read the full cover story and learn more on where bipolar rage stems from, its triggers, and how to calm yourself down during peak rage cycles.

✨And on that note, happy birthday to me! I probably won’t be responding too much to messages today. Chris, my darling husband is taking me out today. He’s planned it all himself. I am very excited!! Hopefully my symptoms don’t mess up the day today. I love you all!✨💛 . . . . . . . . . . #sagittarius #birthday #chronicillness #chronicpain #heds #eds #ehlersdanlossyndrome #pots #tachycardia #bradycardia #hypotension #hypertension #dysautonomia #allodynia #fibromyalgia #endometriosis #mcad #mcas #mastcell #mastcellactivationdisorder #mastcellactivationsyndrome #mentalillness #mentalhealth #ptsd #anxiety #manicdepression #depression #depersonalizationdisorder #spoonie #zebrastrong

Egyik kedvenc elfoglaltságaim egyike tavasszal és nyáron, hogy a természetben sétálok a kutyáimmal, a párommal, esetleg az egész családdal. Imádom, ahogy a nap melegít, a sok szép növényt, a friss virágillatot, a madarak csicsergését. Remélem másnak is jó látvány ebben a zord évszakban. ☺️ . . . . . . #instagirl #bipolar #bipolarlife #bipolargirl #bipolarislany #manicdepression #bipolariszavar #beingbipolar #nature #wanderlust #green #field #clouds #bluesky #summer #tb #backintime #nostalgia #view #mik #followme #depression #maniac #mooddisorder #lovethisplace #hangulat #wandern #nofilter #beautifulview

I AM! The smallest, yet the most powerful sentence. What you put after I AM can truly change your life. SEIZMO SEZ: (Dialogue with Mr. Bipolar) . Me: Mr. Bipolar you’ve left some remains, Residual down and it’s causing me pain. Just feeling your presence is making me shake, Memories of the past and the illness awake. . Him: No worries Seize, It’s a common reaction. You’re feelin’ the tail end of depression extraction. Sometimes I feel the same thing from your meds, It’s mostly the fear that’s rattling your head. . Me: Sounds right but from you, I can never be sure. You’re still in contact, And there still is no cure. . Him: I told you Seize, It’s a game I play straight. If you’re sober and on meds, You’re helping your fate. I’ve got enough others, Who don’t do as much. They are the ones, That are easy to touch. . . .
