Rear Double Bicep is my pose. I started to shake from nerves. I practiced posing daily but sometimes ya cant dull the knife enough before stage. I consider myself a good naturally comfortable poser but something happens when I get on stage. I compare it to the football days back in high school when ya get all amped up and cant come down until the war is over. I managed to recover from shaking in the next round and nailed all my shots. This show was for me and this show also taught me a lot about the space Iโ€™m in currently. I will be working hard on my G Standard Camp and growing my business and brand. 265 # ๐Ÿ™„ wasnt feeling today, so I warmed up for way longer than I even should have, made a jump from 155 # to 265 # just to get max out Friday over with ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ ANNNDDDDDD i got nowhere close to my Maxโ€™s ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ BUT thatโ€™s okay. Still did my conditioning, which is 20 minutes of steady cardio, incline @ 19, speed @ 3.2. People think you need to do all sorts of crazy cardio and lifting in order to get results. But all you need is food-lifting-cardio consistency. Plus PROGRESSIVE OVERLOAD. Which is just a fancy word for doing your program, and steadily making it harder every week. Like increasing the weight, the reps, shorter rest periods, faster treadmill speed, or incline. โœ…๐Ÿ”ฅBuilding muscle takes time. I remember when i first stared lifting I wanted to be JACKED and SHREDDED. I had no idea what to do, so I got myself in such a calorie defect because i was only eating salads, tuna, chicken, and protein shakes. Yeah i was lifting with intensity and getting lean, and gaining some strength but i didmt understand why i wasnt ganing lean muscle and that โ€œ3D physiqueโ€ I wanted. Now I know itโ€™s because i wasnt eating all of the right foods. Carbs, fats, and proteins. I also was trying to cut and bulk at the same time. I would recommend to any new lifter and even intermediate to go on a lean bulk for a while, and then decide to cut when youโ€™re happy with your size and strength. Itโ€™s kinda hard to decide when to bulk, because no one likes being bloated and fluffy, but itโ€™s worth it at the end when you decide to cut. If you have size and then cut, youโ€™re more likely to look how you want, rather than cutting all your life and not putting on quality size #fuegotime ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป ใƒปใƒปใƒป YOUR MAXIMUM MUSCULAR POTENTIAL - As a natural lifter, your body can only gain so much muscle, even if you're doing everything else right. - If you're a beginner, you can enjoy some sweet newbie gains. Most beginners can gain up to 30 lbs in one year. If you do everything right, most of that muscle will come within the first 3-4 months. When I first got started, I gained 27 lbs of muscle in only 3 months. - After you've gained your first 20-30 lbs of muscle, you're not a beginner anymore. You're an intermediate. โœ…overhead squatโœ… some clips on becoming more flexible for the overhead squat. Also some tips on how to build stability and shoulder strength for the over head squat position. Typically if Iโ€™m too tired to overhead squat, Iโ€™ll do the behind the neck push presses, and some squats. Or Iโ€™ll just work on my form with very light weight or just the bar. These vids are kinda on the fly so if you have any questions on these movements, let me know! Also remember donโ€™t go trying to max out on overhead squats, theyโ€™re more of an accessory movement, meaning theyโ€™re designed to help transfer over into other lifts and daily life. 200kgx5x2. Second set. definatly the easiest iโ€™ve ever pulled 200kg. It aint pretty. Pulled this one with #aggression and #frustration. My first set was nice and controlled. But after that set my injured wrist started #hurting due the heavy #weight on the straps๐Ÿ˜ฉ I pulled the a second set cuz #fuck my wrist. So #progress and a setback at the same time ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜“. Many fitness "experts" and trainers have told us that simply moving the bar from the back to the front on squats is going to work our quads more. And unfortunately this is not true. . . Both front and back squats require hip flexion, knee flexion, and dorsiflexion during the eccentric and hip extension, knee extension, and plantar flexion during the concentric. The 2 movements work the exact same muscles. . . In addition, in an article published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning in 2009, EMG activity in each muscle group (quads,hams,glutes) was shown to be nearly identical. . . The biggest difference in the 2 lifts is going to be in upper body mechanics. Because there is an element of shoulder rotation involved in performing a back squat, individuals who lack external rotation may have a difficult time getting in a comfortable position, this throwing off the mechanics of the entire movement due to over compensation. . . In addition, the change in the center of mass due to the placement of the bar, allows there to be less compressive forces and shear at the knee joints and extensors. This means that front squats may be a better alternative for anyone suffering from or dealing with knee pains, problems, or joint issues. . . The front squat is also going to allow you to get the same level of muscle recruitment with lighter loads, so it's a great alternative to be used if you feel like your body and CNS is becoming overworked or fatigued and not recovery like it should be. . . At the end of the day, if your goal is building a MASSTHETIC PHYSIQUE, you are going to need to learn to execute and master both movements! So spend some time with both, then make the educated decision on which one is best for your goals at the current time. . . Single arm D.B incline lateral raises. - So extra width on my side delts, and fuller rear delts are 1 of my main priority's over the winter off-season, I'll be hitting delts twice a week and every session I'll hit D.B side raises and I'll then alternate between cable side raises and this little gem of an exercise shown in the video. - This exercise is particular good as it cuts out any body momentum and swinging that may occur with a regular lateral raises. - Form tips- 1) Go with a thumbless grip to relax your grip which will maximize side delt activation and minimize any help from your forearm that you get from gripping the weight too tightly. - 2) Lift the weight to just above parallel with your shoulder don't go any higher this will provide the most tension on the side delts and cause more muscle breakdown. - 3) Dont go too heavy and resist the urge to swing the weight up and down.
