Today for #musclemonday let’s talk the hamstrings. The “strings” are 3 main muscles made up of 4 muscle bellies: The semimembranosus, semitendinosus, and the biceps femoris (2 muscle bellies) . The two “semi’s” attach on the inside or medial part of your hamstring while the Biceps femoris inserts or attaches on the outside or lateral part of your hamstring . So, to properly stretch this muscle group to its entirety it’s important to change the angles of your feet to be able to hit each muscle. Stretch with your feet in neutral position, lateral rotation and medial rotation. ( I will demonstrate this in a video at a later time). . . Take some time to incorporate this into routine for better results. You might notice that certain positions feel more intense. If so, then spend a little more time focusing on that area. . .
