As much as I love coffee, and beauty OH do I looooove my coffee, it’s definitely not good for my system to have more than two a day.⁣ ⁣ That is of course unless I don’t mind having a sh*tty sleep that night, queasy tummy and the jitters during the day 😳😏⁣ ⁣ So after I’ve hit my two coffee limit, if I feel like having another warm drink I opt for a herbal tea.⁣ ⁣ The past few days hubby has been home as he’s twinged a nerve in his shoulder (I’ll share what we’ve been doing for that later). His sore shoulder has meant he hasn’t been able to do much around the house or with the kiddos so everything has fallen back to me while he recovers.⁣ ⁣ As you can imagine, I’m feeling pretty flat today so I’ve been drinking this Fatigue Blend herbal tea and man is it good!! ⁣ ⁣ Do you drink herbal tea? In my 6 years of being a qualified trainer and 3 year University degree I have never been taught the benefits of loaded end range strength and mobility. 🤯 It honestly blows my mind how under the radar this type of training is. Something I wasn’t expecting to do. But hey, they were yummy and hey, we are all human right?! But guess what.... Tomorrow, I will wake up and get my workout in. Yoooo, so continuing on with my reading of "Daring Greatly" by Brene Browne, I've got another little nugget that hit me the feels. Even though the entire book has me in my feels at this point 😭: •••••••••• "Much of the beauty of light owes its existence to the dark. The most powerful moments of our lives happen when we string together the small flickers of light created by courage, compassion and connection and see them shine in the darkness of our struggles." •••••••••• My favorite way to let a little light in is by communicating IRL, like we did here with @lululemon & @lululemonla last month. One on one time with a good friend is also a favorite of mine. Really helps clear some headspace, ya know?

// | | T R U T H S | | // i was recently reminded of the aspect of universal truths. more particularly, the parallels of deep-rooted traditional art forms. regardless of the tool of choice, be it a pen or the human body, there are similarities in the experience and process of mastering both. repetition, patience, and time. these are the keys that, if used in concert with one another, can unlock not only mastery of the arts, but of ourselves. in a time and age where the ultimate goal is to acquire something in the shortest time possible, learning that a stroke of a pen or the strike of a heel can can take years to master is not only humbling, but places so much into perspective. . . . - so much of my thought has begun to align. it serves as a reminder that perhaps the doors of the two relationships that i attempt to foster with care in truth can be unlocked with the same key. the first being my attachment to an ink-filled pen as a means of release from this thought-filled head. and secondly, the physical manifestation of a different type of art form, the relationship between the mat and the mind. controlled movement that mirrors what's inside. perhaps at first glance, the similarities may seem sparse. however, it is only with true practice of both does one realize the roots shared between the two run near to one another. //

Pizza.🍕 • Because life is all about balance, right?? I literally love pizza...and chocolate. Baisically carbs and sugar are my bffs. But so are exercise, and yoga, and napping, and fruit, and veggies, and so many other things. • I don't identify as being one thing. I'm not just a foodie, or a yogi, or someone who workout a lot. I'm just me. Sometimes I eat healthy, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I overwork, sometimes I rest. Sometimes I eat cheese and meat, sometimes I eat a bowl of plant-based food or a smoothie. I just go with it. • I listen to what my body says and honor it. I go with what I'm feeling. I try not to deprive myself or indulge too much. Primera vez que hago una caminata de este tipo, en la que sentía que mi corazón se me iba a salir por las orejas, en la que el oxígeno era escaso y que quería parar a mitad de camino y subirme a un caballo, porque para que exigirme tanto.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ En verdad me alegro no haberle prestado atención a mi mente, porque me decía para que me voy a exigir si fácilmente puedo alquilar un caballo, para que subir hasta el mirador si desde este punto se ve bien, para que levantarme a las 3 am para hacer este tour si se puede hacer en la tarde.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A nuestra mente le encanta quedarse en su zona de confort, pero al salir de ella es que podemos crecer y podemos trascender esos límites falsos que nuestra mente nos pone. Nosotros somos capaces de mucho más de lo que creemos.
