What do you say to yourself and your children when nerves kick in?! My top tip is to reframe the feeling..:.. label it excitement! The physical effects on the body of both emotions is exactly the same. However, the emotional feeling of both is so different. Therefore the performance and energy that we give and the outcome of the situation will be impacted positively or negatively depending upon the label we give that feeling. So next time you think, or your children say ‘I’m nervous’ change the feeling. TELL your brain, say out loud.... “I’M NOT NERVOUS, I’M EXCITED.”. Repeat that until you believe it! I do this all the time as I’m constantly pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Oscar and I have used this countless times on the car journey into school. By the time he gets out of the car he feels 10ft tall!!!! Don’t underestimate this tool, it could significantly change lives.

DON'T JUDGE IT - USE IT | I quote my coach here, as I think this is such a powerful thought and call to action! There happens lots of shit - at least it may feel like that - in business and life. On every level you are, there WILL BE challenges! . If you think this will be a pessimistic post, haha! Of course not 😃 So, we have stated there will be obstacles and seemingly bad circumstances on your way. The difference between you in victimhood and you in your power is how you view those situations. . You have two options, judge it as bad, horrible and unfair and you stay in victim mode. Don't judge it, but observe and then use it and you step into your POWER and CREATION MODE. . For example, you are reaching out and receive many no's. You could judge it as a bad situation, wail about the unfairness of the world and beweep your sorrows. Or you could observe it, NOT judge it as something bad, just view it as a circumstance which holds POWER for you. . And then USE the ENERGY which it stirred up in yourself in the first hand. Powerfully CREATE with this energy - new programs, new offers, new outreachs, new happiness, new ideas, new clients, new peaceful moments. . I read a post on FB yesterday from a woman complaining about her situation, a very long post with many answers from others. If this woman had used the energy she put into judging and wailing, she would have found powerful ways out of her situation in no matter of time. . EVERYTHING IS ENERGY. And it is there for you to USE. Bad situations hold energy. You decide what to do with it and where you put it. YOU HOLD THE KEY! . I freaked the fuck out a little bit this morning and my anxiety crept back in. Along with the anxiety popped back up all the limiting beliefs.⠀ ⠀ There I was sitting in my bed feeling stuck and debilitated with thoughts running through my mind like “You’re never going to be successful.” “People don’t see value in your work.” “You can’t actually do this.” These limiting beliefs are the stories that I’ve been holding onto my whole life.⠀ ⠀ My biggest story in life is that I’m not good enough, but the keyword here is that it’s a STORY. The things we tell ourselves are not always true and I’ve gotten to the point in my life where I can say “Fuck that. I’m choosing a different story.”⠀ ⠀ I’ve come such a long way and I’ve gotten to the point where I know how to snap myself out of this spiral quickly and effectively. I’m still a human and I’m not perfect, but I’ve grown so much.⠀ ⠀ You choose your stories and your stories determine your life.⠀ ⠀ Do you know what stories are constantly running through your head? People might find money to be a captivating reward when they’re younger but spending time with family might become more important as they get older.⠀ ⠀ What is your reward for sticking to your goals? Is it a financial reward, social reward (including belonging to a community, having people support you, competing successfully against others), a psychological state, good health, freedom and independence?⠀ ⠀ Think about a “reward” that would make you feel great for accomplishing the next small step toward your goal. As in WAY behind. 😬 ⠀⠀ Behind as in sixty thousand emails. ⠀⠀ Um.... what? ⠀⠀ That’s 60,000 emails. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ While I’m 99% Sure most of it is J-U-N-K I still need to clean so what’s an efficient sister to do? I want to keep this email address but this job feels way too big now. ⠀⠀ So, I had an idea. I need to help myself with a BATCH CLEAN ... 💡 ⠀⠀ If you are like me and you’ve got way too many emails clogging your inbox here’s my tip from the email trenches... ⠀⠀ Open your inbox and instead of trying to make heads or tails of all of the overwhelming data go to the email search bar and type in something that you KNOW you get a lot of bit that you probably don’t need at this point. ⠀⠀ For me, I started with Groupon. (Sorry, Groupon, you’re cool, but I need some space.) ⠀⠀ Instantly, more than two thousand emails from Groupon came up. I clicked to delete all and BAM! 💥 2,000 emails gone. Deleted. Goodbye 👋 ⠀⠀ After that I got motivated, like REALLY motivated! ⠀⠀ I continued to search and pull up hundreds of emails I had from amazon and other places and chink after chunk I started wiping the emails out. ⠀⠀ I doubled down on the efficiency by listening to a favorite podcast at the same time and in just 45 minutes I was ten thousand emails less. ⠀⠀ I’m going to stick with it until the job is done ✅ and I suggest you do the same if you want to feel insanely productive where your email is concerned. ⠀⠀ Seriously, I feel like a virtual weight has been lifted. Commitment ….. If you truly have a vision set for yourself, then make a commitment to it. You have to commit and understand the work that is needed for your vision to become your reality. . It is easy to say “I want to become _______”, it is the action and follow through that is the difficult part. If you are not committed to your vision, then it will be very difficult to apply action. . If you are having difficulty committing to your vision, then you first need to reevaluate what it is. Is it something that you truly want and are passionate about, or is it just a thought that can easily be forgotten when the going gets tough? . Commit to the lifestyle and habits that are needed in order to reach your vision. Understand that it is not a straight line and the path will not be easy. Commit to the idea that there will be times where you will struggle and others will not support you. . There is a reason why success comes to few people, as they are the ones that truly commit to their cause. . If you are someone that is having difficulty or if you know someone that is having difficulty, have a look at these steps. . 1. Many people fall trap to cognitive bias. . They don't fully understand how their mind makes up stories to associate beliefs and experiences. . These biases actually creates delusion and this why most people get stuck. . They firmly believe they're doing certain things right but their results say otherwise. . One common phrase I hear is "Jimmy I don't eat that bad, I don't know why I'm not losing weight". . Typically these people don't eat as clean as they think. . What they do is focus on the few good meals they do have but overlook all the little snacks and cheat dishes. . The story they wind up telling themselves is that they're eating right and they believe it so they get frustrated when they don't see the results. . To get your goals for the New Year, you MUST be honest with yourself. . You also MUST get outside on eyes on you to hold you accountable. . You need someone who will be brutally honest with you and call you out when you're not doing the right things. . When you're willing to do this, then you'll start seeing great progress! How many times have you let fear hold you back? I’ve done it too many times to count. With the new year approaching and time going by so fast these days, I’m thinking a lot about how I let this FEAR hold me back from achieving the things I want in my life. I’m learning that time doesn’t stop for anyone and you need to take it upon yourself and use the time you’re given wisely to make your life happen. And you know what? It’s scary. . The fear of failure is scary. The fear of not doing anything to avoid failure is also scary. The fear of people misunderstanding me is scary. The fear of people never understanding me is also scary. The fear of the unknown is scary. The fear of never knowing the unknown is also scary. The fear of stepping outside of your comfort zone is scary. The fear of staying put and complacent is also scary. . There are two sides to every coin. So I ask you, as I ask myself, what kind of life is worth living? One where you let fear hold you back and you end up living a half lived life or one where you kick fear in the face and do everything you say you want to do despite the fear trying to hold you back. . I think the only thing I’ll regret is the chances I never had the guts to take.

DO CALORIES COUNT??? 🍎🍟🍕🍪 . Now...this is probably one of the most asked questions!!!. Do calories count!!?...and there's soooo many answers to go with this...but, in short, yes they do!!! . Now the reason I say there's so many answers to this is because there's a lot more to it. Why, if calories do count??? . Well, firstly, for basic WEIGHT loss, yes it can be as simple as calories!...but most people when dieting, want to lose fat, not just weight, which could be muscle, water etc etc. . So what are some of the things that make it more complex? . -If you are wanting to change your body composition, eg lose fat, gain/maintain muscle etc...macros help with this. Macros being ratio of protein, carbs and fats you consume, which also add up to your total calorie intake. We need to make sure we're eating enough protein to maintain muscle (when dieting) which helps with fat loss. So you keep your muscle and shape and lose body fat. We also need to make sure we're getting enough good fats for hormone function. We can then fill in calories based on needs, specific individuals and preference. . -carbs and fats are a lot of the time depending on a lot of things. Individual body type, preference, training, goals etc etc. Until you are eating the correct calorie amount for your goals though, this doesn't hugely matter. If you're trying to lose body fat and stress over macro ratios, but you're still eating too many calories, this is kind of pointless. Calories first, then sort your macros! . -Different foods affect your body different. Some are more thermic, some affect different hormones, some are quicker than others to be digested, some curb hunger more, some are more filling, and so on. This is why all calories are not equal. . -Going on from foods being more filling etc..this is really important when dieting as calories are lower and we do feel hungry. So eating wholesome, dense, low calorie high volume foods really helps to keep you fuller for longer. It fills your stomach, triggers the stretch receptors, and sends a message to your brain to say you're full. This is why high volume eating is important when dieting! . PATIENCE . It is very important that you have patience when it comes to attaining your vision. There is only so much that you can do in a day and the process is a long journey. Do not overwhelm yourself with a “to-do” list of tasks that will work against your progress. Many people do this in an attempt to get ahead, when in reality, putting themselves behind. .
